“Jesus is BOMB.COM!!!! He was quick and efficient. Jesus saw small things that needed to get fixed while repairing what was on his list and fixed them...WHO DOES THAT!! Jesus does...”
“Great community with an excellent management team. Desmond was professional, responsive, and made the experience easy from start to finish. The property is clean, well cared for, and in a great location. Highly recommend checking out Aqua Via!”
“Ja'rius was great! He showed us exactly what we need and explained in detail every step of the way. It is real pleasure when people know what they doing and treating their potential customers with care. Much appreciated and moving in this month.”
“I’m new to the area and to Channel House. So far things are going good. A few hiccups that are expected as a new tenant, but overall a great place so far. I’ll come back and update. ☺️”
“I’ve lived here about a month now and love it! It’s great living close to the lake and the staff is great, Isabella and Dominique have been so helpful with all my questions! I love having a balcony and modern appliances and the terrace is nice as well.”
“BIG SHOUT OUT TO Devon, Pershante, Miles, and Linn. Going above and beyond to assist me with aquiring a unit of my liking. These individuals displayed pure professionalism, courtesy, and comfort during my time touring. This ultimately led me to pull the trigger on a beautiful unit at the Domain with the help of Devon, who always goes above and beyond, pay this man a bonus! Thanks to Pershante and Miles for extending an invite to interact with the community at Domain, these guys are great. Last but not least, Linn is a bundle of joy and displayed total transparency. I understand people may have their differences and beliefs about the Domain; no apartment complex will be perfect but this complex is truly well rounded enough for my liking!”
“Lisa did such a wonderful job showing us available units. Her knowledge of the property was outstanding along with her representation of her home, Oakland, and the company, Windsor. She did so well that we filled out an application and have now signed a lease with Allegro. Great job Lisa!”
“This review is specifically for the new management staff here, led by Jose Romero. Compared with the former Greystar management, the improvement is like night and day. Jose is friendly, attentive and most importantly cares about his buildings and residents. Since Cushman and Wakefield have taken over I’ve seen more effort put into creating a positive experience for residents, staff and even vendors. I hope to god they stick around for everyone’s sake. Thanks Jose! You rock!”

“My leasing experience with this building has been amazing from the very first day I met the property manager to the day I walked into my new apartment. The property manager is incredibly kind, caring, and always available to help with anything you need. They made the entire leasing process smooth and stress-free, and I truly felt supported every step of the way. I'm so happy to be a new resident here and grateful for such a wonderful experience!”
“Ky Thompson was absolutely amazing during my tour at The Logan! From the moment I arrived, she was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping me find the perfect home. She took the time to answer all my questions, provided detailed insights about the property, and made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor truly set her apart. If you’re looking for a top-notch leasing experience, I highly recommend working with Ky.”
“I move. A lot. So, I've lived in my share of apartment buildings. 1200 Lakeshore is, by far, the best managed building I've lived in. Everyone who works here is the best. They know the residents and their pups. Mrs. Hudson misses her neighbor, Christiana and her daily ear rubs. Maintenance is fast and seamless. The management is top-notch. They have events and doughnuts for morning commuters every once in a while. The front security staff are friendly and professional and the building is super secure. Proximity to BART and living on Lake Merritt is amazing. The spaces are large and open. The residents are also fantastic. Say hi to Maya the bulldog if you move in. She loves some love. Now, not everything is always perfect. The building is amazing, as I said, but the noise is a thing. I'm a city person so the sounds of a city aren't new to me. The units facing 1st Avenue are NOISY. If this is something that doesn't bother you, then you're golden. If you're sensitive to that, opt for a higher floor on the lakeside. It's in Oakland. There is crime. Like all cities. Don't complain about it after moving in and then blame the building management. Due diligence on your part makes life better.Yes, I really lived here. No, I'm not paid nor friends with the management or ownership. It's just a great place.”
“3 1/2 stars. I purchased a condo here last September. All and all, I'm quite happy living here but somethings have surprised me, considering the cost of the units and the high cost of the monthly HOA fee. As another reviewer here mentioned, cost wise, you should really consider whether it is better to buy or rent here.
In general, this is a building built in 2001, and the units reflect that. Both the bathroom and kitchen have lower end cabinets and fixtures. Due to this, if your used to something a little more high end, you'll most likely have to go through the process of applying to the HOA for replacing these. It's not exactly turnkey.
Another thing that surprised me was the antiquated/outmoded heating system (there is only heating). It's something that was installed, in each individual unit, when the building was built. It's a one of a kind system that's not easily replaceable. There are no instructions/manuals available for it. It's very expensive to run (about 3-times the cost of my previous heating bill, prior to moving here). Kind of crazy for a 900 something sq ft condo.
Then there's the units 7-smoke detectors, 3-hardwired. What the what!? Trust me, it's not at all fun when one goes off as it takes forever to figure out which one it is. I was told by engineering that for the hardwire ones, the whole unit has to be replaced (at my expense).
Also, when the building was originally built, it would have been great if they had installed a water block off for each unit. Whenever any unit has a plumbing repair/upgrade, the water for all the units need to be shut off for 3 to 4 hours.
I really expected a more high end unit and experience.
There are a couple of engineering guys on site, but you quickly learn all that they don't do, as far as the units are concerned. These guys are primarily here to deal with the building itself.
The front desk staff is great. It's always a pleasure interacting with them and they are very customer service oriented.
The main attraction to living here, for me, is being on the lake, with all that has to offer, feeling safe living in this secure building, and how well the building is maintained.”
“Was visiting a friend whom lives here.the grounds were quite clean as were the halls and the studio was a clasic loft style with banks of windows flooding light in at one end.”
“If it wasn’t so the Leasing sales agent and the two maintenance guys i would have moved they make me feel so at home in my home with their quick response to my questions and also getting my maintenance request done quick because of that I’m never have any problems here at the Mason all 3 employees are great at what they do and i thanks yall for always being there when needed and always being understanding”
“5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I want to commend Kevin from the maintenance team for his exceptional service. He responded promptly, resolved the issue efficiently, and communicated clearly throughout the process. His professionalism reflects highly on the standards of Sares-Regis Property Management. It’s reassuring to know that both the maintenance team and management prioritize resident satisfaction. Excellent work all around!”
“I really love the community here. SFRent has its ups and downs, but I really love the people and the space. Pros: Residents. Art is a former resident who now lives in SF and still comes up many Sundays to play cards with us. Virginia is like our building matriarch and helps plan events like our thanksgiving potluck, christmas parties, etc. Our old building manager, Marcus, is a complete angel and fixed everything under the sun and really advocated for the residents to management; once my oven started leaking gas, and he basically made SFRent buy me a new stove so I wouldn't explode/ die in my apt. We decorate our lobby during the holidays and it is GREAT when I can just go downstairs and hang out and count it as my "social time" when Im super lazy and don't want to go out. No one is all up in each other's business, but it is a diverse group of people who all have each other's backs. We once had a lady on our floor who was illegally airbnbing her unit and we basically organized against her so she eventually moved out (though she never moved in in the first place, as she was using our rent controlled apartments as a cash cow). SFRent has been iffy before, but since hiring Fritz as the new manager, things have gotten a lot better. He's much more responsive to resident's issues and makes sure our building manager cleans up our spaces, and fixes the heating when it's off. We're close to BART, people are nice, it's pet friendly. Cons: It's an old building so that comes with its issues. Our building was built in 1913, the year after the Titanic sank! But it's also part of its character. People steal our packages all the time. It took months for SFrent to fix our door (it literally didn't close, so our lobby was ripe for looting), but they finally kind of patched it up so it works, but people still steal our stuff, which sucks. Depending on the issue, SFRent can be more or less responsive to you, but I think they try. I hope they hire more staff/ pay their staff well bc I know our old manager Marcus who everyone loved basically worked himself sick.”

“Josue was amazing! We had a number of maintenance requests put in and they were all handled within 24 hours. Anything that couldn't be fixed today had parts ordered. 10/10 maintenence worker”
“Alex from the leasing office is so kind & helpful! He asked us lots of questions to see what we were looking for, showed us all of the options, answered all of our questions (and then some) and helped us find the best next apartment for us.”
