“I often pop in here to get second hand clothes or shoes for my kids. Recently it was my son's 4th birthday and we were all home sick. He had been asking everyday for over a month if his birthday was tomorrow and if he could please have a spider stuffie. He was so sad to miss his birthday at school and I had had no time to buy him a present because we had back ti back illnesses for a month. I called Kelly's corner, they had one and asked if I could pay over the phone and have her toss it out the door to me so as not to infect anyone .she was so sweet and offered to drive the gift to my house (we lived nearby)after work. She even wrapped it in a gift bag and added a few trinkets. It made his day and meant so much to me. Thank you!”

“I had such a terrific experience making a purchase with Heather and Gypsy Road Studio. She was knowledgeable and attentive, and I felt I was in amazing hands throughout my buying experience. Gypsy Road Studio reflects Heather’s expertise and good taste, and we as her customers benefit from the eclectic collection she has curated. I will most definitely be back!”

“Thank you Nils for being engaging and providing excellent customer service. I had just left a store in another town and had a terrible customer experience.I’ve been in retail and merchandising my entire career. And to sum it up, great customer service turns into sales and conversion. So simple just to say hi…..”can I help you find something?”Check this place out. Awesome shoe selection and consignment store. Also, while you shop, they will repair your phone screen. Thanks guys!Shop Oakland!”

“Since living around this area, I love going in there to take a look around their nice selection of vintage clothing and accessories. The downside is, I don't think they have updated their open hours.Went in there around 11 and they were still closed. I hope they update their business hours if they have changed! Would love be able to go when I know they will for sure be open”

“Love this spot but recommend bringing cash; they charge a card percentage even if you are using debit & it can be a chunk. Purchased during a sale & looked at the receipt. Seemed kinda weird that the salesman didn't mention it when he rang me up, probably because customers have an ongoing issue with this practice.”

“I’ve always driven by but never stopped in since it was after hours. I got a chance to pop in today and I found so many treasures! The owner/buyer had a great eye for unusual and precious antiques. I picked up fantastic Christmas ornaments, a stunning smoky topaz ring, and vintage Japanese porcelain aquarium decor. The latter could be used in plant terrariums too. They kindly offered my dog a treat and made me feel welcome.”

“Great second hand woman's clothing store! We went with the whole family and found so many great things for my wife. The kids were cheering on mom as she found so many great items. But in all seriousness, there were lots of really nice designer clothing and accessories for women. Great shop!”

“They used to have an architect firm here that barely attracted any flies inside, then this wonderful, eclectic cute antique shop took over. They invited the lady from Moss plants to sell their beautiful plants and the result is balanced gentle magic. Here you can find gifts for yourself or for a special occasion, or no reason at all. Walking in here was a nice fresh break for a Sunday, greeted graciously by Nan who let me wonder around the shop without policing me or being a typical pushy sales person, quiet the opposite. Her level of education and appreciation for art and antique recognized the good client in me and others who happened to walked inside, and that's a good sales person. In the meantime I had to share this with more folks. Perfect place to buy a nice, cozy, or an elegant last minute gift.”

“Excellent selection and customer service. We had a rough time planning for Christmas this year. I ordered a handful of items online and they wrapped everything free of charge and had it ready to go for us. They have a large selection of dress up toys, second hand clothing, and toys that encourage imaginative play.”

“Great store, amazing finds, supporting an all women business is a win for me! Plus they had what I was looking for for my Christmas shopping list! It’s a circular economy- less waste in our landfill, affordable items for my wallet, repurposed items going to a good home and supporting single moms all while keeping our dollars in Oakland.”

“Always some fun new rotating items! Makes me feel like I’m at the able sisters shop from animal crossing with their displays changing. The staff/volunteers are friendly and make good conversation. Decently priced home goods too!”

“Great spot. They Carrie great quality clothing. The pricing is on the higher end, however. So don't expect a great deal with that being said, the place is clean and well organized the pieces they have in there are unique and generally in great condition. Worth checking out.”

“We were in the area and decided to stop by. It's not in the best of neighborhoods so I judged and thought it would not be good. First I walked in and everything is sorted by color to be honest I loved that. It was easy to find what you wanted. The closest were name brand and a lot of cute finds. There was also a lot of stuff with new tags. The prices were super reasonable. Definitely a hidden gem.”

“Maribel is a true gift to our community. My most memorable and favorite garments have come from Maribel.I 100% agree with D. Hoover: Please don’t mistake the staff’s lack of engagement for unfriendly or unwillingness to accommodate. The shop offers a hands-off, peaceful environment to browse. A lot of the staff are a bit shy and just like to let you do your thing. Thats a good thing. They offer a highly curated selection. Everything is super cute, great condition. Don’t go looking for deals here, they know the value of the items they offer. The items are much, much better then anything I could buy new online or at a typical store because they offer such variety and curation. In general, I have been very hesitant to shop 2nd hand. I get overwhelmed at big thrift stores. I was thinking that with second hand thinking I could never find anything in my size, and if I did that I would be so seized with the desire to say yes that I would wake up the next morning realizing I had made a really bad choice.Maribel has totally changed my perception. There is actually a ton of things in my size. With such careful curation, I feel like there are stylists choosing the items they want me to consider. I have found a ton of stuff that I just love, because I know that they are in excellent condition with luxurious fabrics and excellent fit. I love knowing I can drop by just to browse because every day something new appears. Never boring. I even found that Babaa sweater I had really been wanting.”

“I love going on Sundays, super family atmosphere, the only bad thing is that in the bailongo area there are some drunks, it's a little annoying if you go with the family.”

“First time selling at Crossroad and I came to this location first. I was assisted by store manager, Meg. I came in with 5 plus garbage bags at 7pm close to closing. Anyone should have been annoyed and she was super patience and helpful. Working in retail I can imagine it being chaotic and was able to power through and helped remaining customers on the waitlist before closing. Meg's customer service was over and beyond - just really awesome. She knows her stuff and work efficiently. I witnessed her multitasking by managing the front, back and delegate what needs to be done so her remaining staffs would not struggle to leave late. I will definitely come again. Meg was amazing! Give her a raise!! Thank you!”
