“When I think of Oakland, I think of Jason Kidd and GP during early 90’s, starter bomber jackets and Raider colors, a Mecca of west coast rap, and a juxtaposition of wealth disparities within the city.
Coming from Sea but still the west coast,
those similar wealth gaps are visible even to this day and maybe more so.
When I stumbled upon this dope shop it made me happy to see how the owner is uplifting Oakland culture and disrupting narratives. I copped a dope Oakland’s Own hat to support. As a part of 206 Zulu, I’m seeing more independent business like this one focusing on community. I had a great chat with the owner and appreciate his mission.”

“This store is SO beautiful and bright. Sometimes i go in and look around just to brighten my mood. Ive gotten some of my most cherished clothes here. Also a great place to find fun gifts for others.”
“This is my go to spot for selling and buying used kids clothes. They also have women's clothes and I always find gems here. Great selection of kids toys and very sensibly priced. I use my store credit to buy all of the gifts for kid birthday parties throughout the year.”
“The staff members were super-friendly and honest about the fit of my hoodie when I was last here a while back. I ended up getting a more slim-fitting one and it actually sort of keeps me motivated to exercise and keep trim (just so I can fit in it). I get compliments on it often.
The selection of products is nicely curated. You'll find things here that you won't easily find at other stores.
Every time I visit Oakland I try to poke my head into this shop to see what's in store (literally).”

“My favorite thrift store in the east bay. The selection is truly unbeatable and the volunteer staff are kind and dedicated. However, the new(ish) layout is totally inferior to the way it used to be. I’ve given it some time and an open mind, but I really just hate the way things are laid out now! I loved when the clothing racks and regular/vintage home goods were all on the left hand side and the fancier ceramics and home items were on the right. It’s hard to say why, but the flow of the new space is just really unpleasant. I’ve been back fewer times since the remodel because of the layout, it’s just no longer as relaxing of a shopping experience and is now much more crammed and stressful. I miss the old Bambino. While I’ll remain a loyal customer, I can’t say I’ll be seeking out trips to the shop as regularly. Hopefully they come to their senses and bring back the old layout. ?❤️”

Besides having cool Oaklandish merchandise, they have a huge collection of Oakland Roots and Oakland Ballers shirts and hoodies.
