Avril and Jason were the staff members who assisted me, and they were both incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Despite the store being quite busy, Avril efficiently completed my large order without compromising on quality. I requested a large number of pages to be scanned and sent to my email, and it was done so quickly and accurately.

“Intelligent Office is an amazing option for all business types. The Management (Sierra Van Derkamp) is very hands on. The offices are beautiful, conference rooms ideal and the public areas (lobby, restrooms & coffee area) immaculate. Free parking is a definite perk. This is a perfect alternative to a home office!! We just had our holiday party there and everyone loved the location and ambiance!”
“I hate shipping DHL items, it’s never convenient. Well I might be taking that back if all shipping experiences are as lovely as going to the Lafayette Pack and Ship!! I had a label and a package and assumed I’d need to buy packing tape and probably even be charged for the scissors used to trim down the label like other stores. Not so! Very pleasant experience with this shop, and appreciated the detailed explanation from the gentleman who helped me with my DHL return. Great experience!”
“I needed a document notarized and overnited to a title company in Washington. I found the closest UPS store in the Richmond Marina area and called. Voice mail. You know it's not going to get answered when they ask you to leave the date and time you called. Surprise, they never called me back. Instead, I headed over to see them in person. No notary there and they were not sure when she would be there. Great. From the parking lot, I called the UPS store off San Pablo. They answered and were ready to help. In about 10 minutes, I pulled up in front. Fantastic service. Very fun to talk to and would do business with them again in a heartbeat.”
“Big-box office supply and art stores didn't have an ink refill for my Japanese pen, but Payn's Stationery did. The clerk was vey knowledgable about Payn's stock; she knew immediately the type of refill needed and where it was located on the rack. This store is delightful.”

“I have been coming here for years and everyone who has helped has always been super friendly. A few weeks ago though, Nick truly went above and beyond. I showed up with a dozen packages right when they were about to close. The register and lights were already off and he was walking out the door. He offered to stay, but once I told him how many packages I had and that I still needed to handwrite the addresses, he thought of a solution where he could lock up and close the interior gate, but have me leave my packages in the PO box lobby and the shut the lobby door when I was done. I'm pretty sure USPS, Fedex, and UPS wouldn't have been able to provide a win/win solution like that. I'm so glad to have this service in the neighborhood!”
“GO HERE. NOT OFFICE MAX OR UPS. They have what nobody else in Alameda has-- excellent shipping materials. They will pack up any object you need to ship right there at the counter. They have packing peanuts, bubble wrap and boxes of any size, and you will save a ton of money buying mailing materials here.
Actually, neither OfficeMax nor UPS even had the size box I needed. It was just a small box for mailing a tablet.
UPS tried to sell me this expensive mailer for laptops, whereas Mail Boxes Plus just packed it up with their materials, very neatly and securely-- for way less! Go to Mail Boxes Plus to box your items, and you can mail it right there. I had a QR Code to use at the post office, but the supplies the post office has are limited and way more expensive, so I would go here first.”

“This is a fantastic alternative to the post office for sending and receiving mail. This long-time small business offers inexpensive PO Boxes (much less than the post office) and safe package receiving, with notary services, and smart service. You can send via UPS or USPS. There is a no-nonsense vibe when you go in, but there is also a clear integrity that you NEED for mail and for notary services. I will be happy to never go to the post office again, and it will be great to not have to worry about my mail being stolen - as is happening all over the area.”

After researching several locations wherein I could trust my family's precious documents to send out overseas, THIS place consistently answered the phones for questions BY the owner himself AND it felt safe that he has had an ongoing relationship with DHL for 20+ years! Other DHL outlets closer to where I live never answered their phones or had questionable dependability. In the middle of a busy work day, it was worth it driving the extra few miles.”
