“Sharif’s is my spot! And has been for as long as I’ve been living in West Oakland. My go to for my morning coffee, paper, drinks, fresh veggies and ice cream..and of course lil here-and-there’s like hot sauce, noodles, air freshener, TP, etc. Whole family who runs it are good folks, and they keep their store stocked and make sure they ask their customers what we need or would like to see them in keep in stock. They recently renovated/expanded the interior, and it looks awesome! Super spacious, more fridges, new slushy machines, and revamped fresh veggie section amongst other nice upgrades. Love these guys. Quintessential neighborhood corner market.”
“I found this place on TikTok and my kids wanted to come. It's a convenient store do you'll have to find street parking. The store was a lot bigger than I expected. They had the viral fruit ice cream going around. They gad the money unique snacks I have seen and very well stocked. They even had clothes and pet food. It's was a little pricey but very fun to try new snacks.”

“Every time I approach Three Rings Market, I pull out my mobile phone and open the Shazam application and press record so I can identify the obscure pop music these fellas are always playing at just below what most would consider an extreme volume, and coupled with the very bright lighting and the spiritual and emotional ambiance myself and my fellow customers bring to the table— it’s always an unforgettable sensory experience. The two employees (brothers? friends?) are lovely and always ask me how my wife is doing, even though I’m not married. Once I saw them both on the street riding Lime Scooters and I waved hi and they seemed confused. 5 stars”

“For a corner store these guys have a good grasp of the preferred foods and brands people in the neighborhood want and they keep them well stocked. Prices are not unreasonable, they take EBT, and above all else are not just polite but actually friendly. They keep the place clean as well.”

“I was running around this area @ 4:30 pm on a Saturday, trying to find hong bao (Chinese red envelopes) for a wedding that evening. Most of the other stores I’d scouted on Yelp were closed already, but luckily I came across this gem. The main storefront looked closed, but there was still a small section on the right that was open. And out in the front were a bunch of red envelopes on display. I asked the gentleman and lady if they had any recommendation for wedding red envelopes, and if they particularly had any with the double happiness symbol (囍). The lady kindly pulled out a basket that had a bunch of them, and I was able to get just what I needed for the wedding. Many thanks to them for helping me out!”

However, there is a lot of convenience store items as well - plus some things that are just not found elsewhere, like multiple brands of TP in larger pack sizes! Family owned and operated. Clerks are always very polite and helpful if needed.”

“Easy, convenient way to get your propane tank(s) filled. An attendant is there to help you fill your tank. After they fill it up, they give you a post-it with the amount filled. Bring that into the shop and pay at the cash register. Cheaper than swapping tanks.”

“This is definitely the better Whole Foods in Oakland. While the produce is good, I’d still prefer my local farmers market. For me where this store really shines is in the cheese case. Their selection of Jasper Hill Farms cheeses is reason enough to make this your go-to cheese monger. The cake case is enticing and lives up to its visual appeal. If you don’t have time to bake, their options still feel special. And say what you want about Amazon, but the integration for Prime members makes checking out super easy.”

“I've been into sandwiches lately & wanted to try a new place in Oakland. Tucked inside a small little corner lies Mulberry Market. Order: The Crombie- double salami, mortadella, provolone, lettuce,tomato & pepperoncini on sourdough. Although they ran out of the sourdough bread the white bread substitute didn't effect the outcome. The amount of meat is plentiful & you really have to take a big bite to get to the meat. The Crombie is a great new addition to their already delicious sandwiches. So come hungry & leave happy!”
