“Whenever I need to rent a truck, I go to Doherty's. Be it a regular moving truck to a lift gate capable one, Doherty's is my go to rent a truck. Easy reservation (just call), smooth process and transaction. In my last 3 business moves, I've used Doherty's every single time. I had an issue with a lift gate once and they were quick to remedy it and even helped me transfer my heavy loads into the new truck. The Isuzu NPR HD truck is my favorite one, it's easy to drive and you have a commanding view on the driver seat (seats 3 people). All in all, I'm always pleased and satisfied with Doherty's.”
“We got the 3 hour tour from Groupon Through golden state park and drove by tons of beaches, golden gate Bridge (you do NOT cross Golden Gate Bridge *)++ MORE Ended up being out for 3.5 hours Easy checkin, next time I will rent for the day because it takes you through multiple awesome neighborhoods where you can explore restaurants/ shops/ thrift stores/ park / botanical gardens etc etc ... the park is huge !!!!!Rented 2 cars, you have to have DL We had our 12 and 16 year old with us.No reverse so careful on uturns .”
“This is the nicest most accommodating and reliable car rental company you'll ever deal with. Their conveniently located in Oakland and cars are late model and well maintained. Avoid the corporate car rentals and rent from local people who will appreciate your business. A definite thumbs up for the best car rental I've had encountered on the West Coast!”
“I've rented cargo vans here quite often and they are always clean and reliable. Easy drop off after hours with key drop box. Staff is friendly and quick. There are places that are closer to me but this place is worth the extra drive.”

“Our rental car was broken into while site seeing, thieves broke out the back window. I called this location because I did not know what to do. They were super helpful and had a spare car ready for us in minutes. They helped us get everything switched out and then notified us that the airport would put us into a rental like the one that was damaged. All in all it took a couple of hours out of our trip to switch the cars out but given the situation that wasn’t a big deal. Thank you to this team for helping take care of us!”

“No issues with the car and the pickup process was quick and painless.Just a word of warning to parents that need car seats - it would be worth doing some googling on how to install one before you arrive, as it’s up to you to install them yourself. Also it didn’t look like they had many seats available, so there is a chance they won’t have one when you get there (I was just lucky - it didn’t appear they’d organised to set any aside or have the right amount available for my booking).”

“I've used Enterprise Rent-a-Car exclusively for all the rentals I have needed for quite a number of years. I recently had what began as a slightly UN-pleasant experience (the car I picked up had a light on the dashboard indicating something was wrong) but Enterprise immediately made things better! They gave me a different car (and it was an upgrade from the car I had had originally) AND when the time came to return the rental, they took a significant amount off of the total cost of the rental. Every member of the staff I spoke to were very cordial, friendly, and accommodating, and that counts for a lot with me. I will stick with Enterprise!”

“We rented a car in Paris, France. The car was amazing, a specific make and model that we would never be able to rent through a traditional car rental company. The owner was fantastic, very helpful and flexible. And I absolutely have to give a shout out to Jim in customer service. Jim was incredibly responsive and helpful when we and the owner both had to contact him multiple times.The fact that we had to deal with Jim so much stems from some very unintuitive steps in the app, limitations in the app, and the onerous driver vetting process (no doubt insisted on by the insurer).The most problematic aspect of the app is the difficulty adding a second driver. If you or the owner does not do it at the precise point it is offered in tiny print, you can't go back. We had to cancel our reservation and start over in order to add the second driver.Advice to potential users - if you are renting outside your country make sure your driver's license shows an issue or renewal date over 2 years in the past and/or bring a certified driver abstract with you. That will simplify greatly.Despite the issues, we would use Getaround again.”

“Wayne was fantastic. He thought the car I rented was too small, and offered me a choice of a van or suv. I chose the van - Chrysler Pacifica - and had a fun time for a week.I was renting because my car was in the autobody shop, and it was taking longer than expected so I rented a RAV4 after that.Budget and Wayne in particular were great at directing me how to get it the best value car and the best deal online. I would give 10 stars if possible, and felt so impressed that I gave Wayne a $20 tip.The location looks rough, but don’t let that put you off. The area is getting redeveloped and so the old steel factory is getting re-purposed. If you’re cool with colorful graffiti, this is the place to get the best deal in town”

“Wayne at this budget location is a real gem. I came in without a reservation, he found me the lowest rate, and he went above and beyond when I returned the cargo van. I highly recommend this location and Wayne specifically. Another time I came there were a lot of customers ahead of me but today it was clear.”
“The Avis/Budget counter is situated inside the ground floor of the Hyatt hotel so walk through the entrance to find it. They also have a restroom close to the counter (if you need to use one).The Valet will bring the car during pickup and take the keys from you during drop-off.Depending upon the day of the week and the time.of the day, there might be busy traffic around the valet area. This means there's little time to go through the pick-up rituals like adjusting the seat and mirrors, taking pictures, checking the hood, etc.. So I suggest quickly driving off and finding street parking nearby to spend time doing these rituals.Same thing during drop-off. Make sure all the pre-dropoff rituals are completed so that you just have to exit the car and handover the keys to the valet instead of spending time at the valet area.”
“I usually rent from the Oakland airport but decided to try a closer location. So glad I did. Helen is awesome, friendly and nice. I wish all rental places were as fast and efficient as her!!! I picked up my reserved car with NO issues, they had nice clean cars and it was a super quick pick up.”

“I first went to rent a car due to my car being repairs from an accident, to which there was a small miscommunication issue and I thought I wouldn't get a rental. But the manager was able to correct it and get me in a rental within the same morning. He was super nice and we both apologized for the issue, I was overall satisfied with his service. Unfortunately I do not remember his name. I was also satisfied with the return process with Devon Taylor. He was quick, very nice and friendly and also arranged a ride for me right away so I can pick up my car. I look forward to renting from here, if needed, in the future.”
