“I want to take a moment to give Public Storage… specifically the location at 1925 54th St, San Diego, CA a HUGE shout out!!! There is a young lady who works there name Breanna… and it was because of her why I chose to do business there instead of any other storage company! I’ve been in customer service for well over 25 years and Breanna displayed extraordinary customer care and for that I am extremely appreciative! My landlord gave me 7 days to move from one house to a small studio. In that short period of 7 days… finding a storage unit was one of my main priorities since I was downsizing tremendously! I chose one specific day to go visit storage companies, look at their units in person and make a determination. My first stop was public storage because it was right up the street from me. I arrived at 1:32… as I walked in Breanna had advised that she had just clocked out to take her lunch… I advised that I was just coming to see what type of units are available and wanted to get an in-person visual of some unit sizes but I could arrange to come back after her break. Breanna advised that it was okay after i insisted I could come back and she got straight to work…. She took her time with me by looking up some available units in the sizes I was contemplating and then she even walked me to 3 separate units so I could have a visual up close and personal. I had expressed that I did see the sizes online but for me it’s better that I see it in person. After Breanna showed me the units, she advised that if I was interested I could feel free to reserve online if I didn’t want to do it in person. As we went our separate ways, before I pulled off… I decided right then and there my storage unit search was over. Public Storage has all my essentials, perfect size unit, every unit is ground floor and a handy dandy app where I can conduct most of my business and even enter and exit the gate thru the app. Although it is not climate controlled… it wasn’t a requirement for me anyway…. But the way Breanna went above and beyond to take care of me when I was a “lost puppy” in search of a storage unit really warmed my heart! I am big on customer service… it has been a part of my life and makes me who I am today… so thank you Breanna! Also, Victoria the site manager made my official sign up process (after reserving online) pleasurable as well. She was very communicative and had me in and out in a matter of mins. I appreciate this location, the employees as well as the company!!!”

“I rented a 10 X 13 unit a couple of days ago. Before storing anything, I went to check the unit up just to find out the entrance to the storage unit is way to narrow (3 ft. wide by 6 ft. high) to get our furniture through it. The entrace door size is NOWHERE disclosed anywhere on the website or the contract. It was the second day from the start of my contract and the first time to access the facility. I called corporate. The agent stated there was no way to solve the issue besides cancelling the current contract and start a new one to upgrade to a larger unit at a rate difference of $80/mo. and loosing the first month's rent we had paid. We asked for a Supervisor but agent refused to let us speak to him/her stating we would get the same answer. I called the property manager directly. He was really nice and said they would do the transfer and just paid the difference. At the end we still came up with a worse deal than before. Recommendation to corporate to CLEARLY state ALL of the unit's information to allow potential renters to make an informed decision. However, I get this just another way to get your $ anyway they can. There’s also a problem with not enough carts in the facility. There are only teo for 200 units and people take them and keep them in their storage unit leaving other out of luck”
