“Came in on a busy holiday weekend and received assistance from the wonderful Tomek. Helped quickly find out and procure exactly what I needed with tips on improved foot health. Coming back for a new pair bc this place is always great.”
“Amazing little shop with trendy, excellent quality affordable staples. The owner is sweet, warm, inviting, fashionable with a knack for making you feel comfortable and helping you style a fit!”
“Must stop! We happened upon State of Flux thanks to serendipity. We turned left down Valencia vs right and wa-la! Found this gem of a shop with really cool menswear and accessories. Great style, fabric choices and designer/owner. Thank you for sharing your creations with us. We will be back!”
“I will start by saying I haven’t been inside an actual shoe store in years. I purchased my first pair of shell cordovan boots for work at Alden online and with this being an investment I brought them in to be sure I got the right size. Jim is the gentleman that took my call and when I expressed my concerns he invited me to come in to check the fit. He was extremely polite, professional, and patient with me. Encouraged me to try out different sizes and styles, and in no way made me feel rushed. He was extremely knowledgeable, showed me how to properly care for them, and I walked out with a pair of boots that will last generations. I will definitely be back and highly recommended stopping in if you are in the area and in the market for some of the best handmade boots money can buy. Thanks again Jim, see ya soon!”
“I’m not one to leave reviews usually, but I had to leave one for this place. Ian (the employee) was wonderful and very thorough with helping me find the perfect shoe. He did whatever he could to find the best fit for my personal running habits and walking me through the different options, as well as letting me try jogging in each one. This includes getting the right insole for me. Definitely will be back!”
“Great experience 😀 Everyone was super friendly, and the guy with the tattoos was awesome. He was really helpful, knew his stuff, and made it easy to find exactly what I was looking for without being pushy.
I’ll definitely be back. Thanks again for the great service.”
“Emerson helped me pick pointe shoes! We went through several brands and sizes and eventually landed on Merlet! They also helped me sew the ribbons and elastic ribbons and showed me how to tie them. They’ve been very helpful and patient. Will def visit again! Highly recommend if you’re in SF area!”
“brilliant, talented, experts in shoes and feet of all kinds from the sole up. lucky to have these folks here. just drop in to see what shoes and creativity and talent and expertise looks like. love this place and it's people!”
“Every time we come here, we buy many things!! It’s always fun and exciting to shop with Sou Sou!!
So much to choose from.
Thank you ladies!!”
“The people that run this shoe store are the absolute kindest people I’ve ever met. I was busy running after my teenage twin boys while simultaneously getting deep blisters on my feet because I decided not to wear socks, a super dumb decision! I popped into the store to see about grabbing some socks. I was greeted incredibly kindly, they showed me where the sale socks were. They offered to give me Band-Aids and didn’t pressure me at all to buy a pair of shoes. I come to this area often and next time I come I for sure will purchase a pair of shoes. Incredibly grateful for their kindness and good vibes. 🤩”

“I've purchased two pairs of shoes from these guys recently and had a great experience on both occasions. The staff was attentive, courteous, and the collection they have is well curated. I highly recommend!”
“I stopped by A.C.M.E. Workwear while I was up in the city. I usually shop at Redwood Trading Post since I live in Redwood City, but I’m really glad I checked this place out. It’s near Mission and Geneva, not a flashy area at all, but the store itself is solid and worth the stop.
For a smaller shop, the selection is really good. They have a lot of Carhartt, and not just the usual stuff. Pants, shirts, jackets, accessories, and most importantly, real size runs. I wear a 40x34 in work pants, which is usually hard to find, but they had it right there with no issue. That alone impressed me.
I went in planning to use my work stipend on new pants and ended up grabbing a pair of Carhartt B01s and a tee. One thing to note is that the prices are a little higher than online. The B01s were about $67 in the store, while you can find them online for closer to $59. The pair I bought had also been sitting in the sun for a while, so one side was noticeably more faded than the other. To be fair, the guy helping me, Kevin, noticed it right away and gave me a discount without me even asking, which I appreciated.
Kevin was great overall. Super friendly, helpful, and relaxed. No pressure, no upselling, just straight help getting what I actually needed. That kind of service goes a long way.
They’ve been around since 1972, and it shows. The place feels established and dependable. They carry a wide range of workwear brands and gear, from boots to hard hats and more, and even though you can’t order online, they do have a website.
I’d definitely come back, especially if I’m already in the city. If you’re looking for real workwear and good service, this place delivers, just keep in mind the prices can run a bit higher than online.”
“I came in right before they closed, and the store attendant’s were super helpful. I changed my mind about the shoe I was getting several times, and after I bought it, I changed my mind about the color and she still helped me with a super positive attitude the whole time. Super recommend!”
“Staff here is always friendly and helpful. Got a great pair of neighborhood jeans here for a good price. They even gave me some recommendations for where to eat while I was in the city.”
“I made a purchase at the store in April, and Dante, the cashier, was extremely helpful. He was very polite, friendly, and solution-oriented throughout the entire process. It is truly great to see valuable employees like him representing the store. His excellent customer service made my shopping experience much more enjoyable.”
“This boutique is amazing! The shopkeeper was so knowledgeable about fabrics, fits, brands. I loved the curation of the selection. Also in a really cool part of San Francisco. I got these cute earrings there.”

“Dantone Boutique is one of those special places that truly reflects the heart of its owner, a gifted musician.
Farzad is such a kind, talented, and genuine person and it shows in every detail of his store. Beautiful shoes, boots, and clothing, all chosen with love and taste. Always a pleasure to visit!”
“I came here for a Warriors watch party. The Warriors home opening night game versus the Denver Nuggets to be specific! It was such a great game to witness.
I enjoyed being able to watch the game on the 120 inch screen. When I arrived, the thunder in Oklahoma City game had gone to double overtime so they placed the Warriors game on the other TVs until they cast it on the big screen. Thankfully, for this game, I had a great view from one of the couches. It was nice and comfortable on there.
It was great to meet TJ and Nick. They both provided excellent service and it was great to chat with them. Hearing that they host to watch parties for the Niners games is also a huge plus. I look forward to being back for one of those and also visiting the storefront.
Shout out to Levels SF for hosting and awesome event!”
“Found exactly what I wanted here a while ago! The store was clean, tidy, and they were genuinely welcoming without sounding obnoxious to help. Dana was able to help me find a pair of pumps that were comfortable yet high enough. Dana was also so sweet to a niece of mine that was with me! I felt so at ease being in a store that were not pushing every item for me to try and buy but were instead listening to what I needed and providing suggestions.”

“Wonderful selection of every kind of sock option for all preferences. My mother loved the pair we bought her and we got sock varieties that are not readily available at most other shops.”
“Amazing staff there were very helpful and patient while I picked up an order. They have a great selection and fantastic service. I’m so grateful for their assistance today! Great team and incredibly helpful.”

“Excellent service, when we visited in October 2025. I had the undivided attention of a lady who was kind and helpful and I came away with another beautiful pair.”
“All I wanted was the red and white Nikes. They didn't have them in my size unfortunately. Then I wanted to penny loafer doc Martin's didn't have them in my size either. So sad not to worry my friends got so much stuff. Really cool store amazing prices especially compared to LA. #FiveStar”
“Yes, that's not bad. Original SF brand. A bit expensive. I've bought a bomber jacket, the stitching is easy to peck. Just come here and buy accessories, brass pens.”
“I'm really impressed with the variety and quality of Taylor Stitch's products, especially outerwear. They've found an intergenerational sweet spot that works for me -- some nostalgia in their designs, but not too much. Special praise for the SF store manager, Brian, who helped me sort out some technical issues with my purchase. He didn't have to go above and beyond, but he did.”
“Came in looking for a particular item and everyone in the store was super positive, very attentive and willing to help. Offered multiple times to check their stock in the back, check online etc. They didn’t have what we wanted but they really took care of us. I think the team could maybe be informed on fabrics a little more but that’s a training thing with Management not equipping the team. Merch is a little pricy but worth it for the quality.”
“Good service, great deals. The gentleman helping me even covered my shoes with plastic so they don't get damaged in my bags as I was traveling. Prices are good, and great deals”
“I ordered some uggs it came well packaged with no damage to the shoe box or delivery box. Arrived just on time. The shoe looks as is shown on the website. I recommend this business.”
