From the initial call to make an appointment to setting up an account, everyone we interacted with was helpful and friendly.You get a real sense of a local community focused bank here, one where the people working here actually care. That was our experience anyway with Jason. He took a lot of time with us to go over everything and even went out of his way to help us get something we needed notarize. “My company uses this bank, so I am here several times a week. The tellers are friendly and when there is an accounting issue, of course never my fault, they are helpful and knowledgeable. “The whole San Rafael RCU branch has great manager and staff - this week Guillermo G was especially helpful! He's helped me over the years, always calm, reassuring, experienced (he'e been there for years) - this time I was stressed out about this and that banking matters, he suggested I make an appt to come in and meet with him, and he offered to help me do everything - I came in, we sat down at the desk in a quiet office - and everything I had been putting off for a year - he was there on the phone (for me!) smoothly handling things here and there - and he/we handled all of it in about half an hour! I finally got set up for online banking, linked it with my other bank, set up to transfer between accounts, created facial ID and new passwords where needed - everything I could not confront doing myself and had put off and avoided for a year - he smoothly quickly made happen like magic, with calm, competent friendliness - truly outstanding service - TY! I have been there about 20 years - I highly recommend this branch and it's great staff - TY!”

I've been dealing with some complicated issues regarding a family member's finances after his recent passing, and the staff at Bank Of Marin (particularly Yessica) have been so helpful, patient, and have made the process so much simpler and more straightforward than the other banks I've been dealing with through this process.
They are compassionate, responsive, clear, kind, and very patient. I would absolutely recommend them for any banking needs.”

“Made an appointment with Jochen, New Accounts/Investment VP. Very friendly and helped my high school son open a high school checking account. Jo was got our info into the system quicker than he had estimated to us which was up to one hour but took may a tad over 30 minutes. Easy safe covered parking. Bank is clean, with friendly tellers and staff.”
“I was lucky that I biked here and dropped it off at Mike’s Bikes for repair. That was one long wait in a comfortable chair (imagine if I parked my car in a metered spot or had my bike locked up.) When I finally got my consultation as a walk-In, the lady was very professional and caring. The C Street @ 4th location shows that Chase is brilliant: C for Chase. On a second trip, I got some nice polite service from Brithany on a high-stakes transaction, which came through in time.”

“I’ve been here quite a number of times as this being a status quo branch. My local is the Smith Ranch Road Branch. This one I go to when I have other errands to do in Downtown San Rafael. I sometimes to cash payments in Chase branches to make cash payments on a Chase credit card - the service at most of those branches is GREAT!!Today, the experience at this Bank of America branch sure made a case for me to keep my account at Bank of America. I had a fun memorable experience with a quick smiley helpful “teller” helping me deposit a difficult-to-read check. Following a big bike ride over the hill from home, this Bank of America stole the reason I play Petula Clark’s “Downtown” from what is usually the Pink Owl across “A” Street.”
“I am pretty sure this is the correct location that I am reveiwing. What makes this extra special and a super duper is that this bank has an inside location ATM has 1$ bills and 5$ bills they even have 2$ bills...the 2$ bills part is a joke...yet how often does one see an ATM inside a bank that dispenses smaller bills...that is way cool...”
“Rating them 4 bc their customer service has always been good to me. However, their technology leaves ALOT to be desired. Everything from their app to the outdated atms. This bank has a lot of potential but it almost feels like it’s being neglected.”

“I opened an account at the Fairfax location about a month ago. The new accounts rep was caring as well as knowledgeable. I have been back a few times for various transactions (mostly at the San Rafael location) and found every exchange refreshing. A great alternative to the big banks (where I was for nearly 40 years).”
