“My sister eloped here last week and the courthouse gardens were absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well maintained, which really helped with her outdoor ceremony. We really appreciated the ranger who kindly helped us by handing something off for us in a timely manner!”

“Always nice, roses are cut back for winter so very sparse but still large lawns and areas for relaxing and picnics etc. Have not been over to the mission to check if restrooms are in order, front of mission has had construction as well during winter.”

“The Factory was an amazing venue for our pre-wedding traditional Indian lunch. The space has a clean, modern industrial aesthetic and serves as a beautiful blank canvas with a great inventory of furniture and rentals. The flexible layout — including the barn, courtyard, and lot — allowed us to accommodate about 70 guests comfortably. Despite the extreme rain from an atmospheric river, the barn kept everyone warm and dry, and the courtyard worked well with heaters and umbrellas.

Neil was extremely easy to communicate with, honest, and helpful throughout the process. Given the stress of rearranging our entire wedding weekend due to weather and venue changes, he truly alleviated our burden by taking ownership of customizing and executing the layout for our event. His flexibility was invaluable — from reasonable décor guidelines to allowing outside catering and bar service, as well as offering morning setup time, night-before drop-offs, and easy vendor walkthroughs.

We highly recommend The Factory for anyone looking for a versatile, stylish venue with strong amenities and a supportive team — especially for couples planning multi-day events or needing a space that performs well in both good and bad weather.”

“We rented LoDo for a commercial production of testimonials, and it was great! Ground floor access made loading in and out very easy. The staff was very amenable, the facility was versatile, and overall it was a great experience.”

“Just met the owners/family at the Santa Barbara Roar and Pour. By far the best table at the event and the friendliest! They also had the best wines out of everyone there. I will definitely be heading to there shop for more wine.”

“Beautiful services,
Community and content. Currently there are rotating ministers and it actually works
Well, giving the community even more knowledge, experience and wisdom to draw upon. A wonderful place for anyone, any age families, singles - all are welcome genuinely. In my 30 years in SB, it’s always been a place of solace and inspiration and I feel the quality of speakers and messages are only improving. Also attend on- line”

“We chose this space for our wedding in mid-June and I am soo incredibly happy we went with it. I used to go to this carousel as a child so the space was super sentimental for me.

It has such high ceilings and such a gorgeous lawn and indoor space for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and you can really do so much with it to transform it into the space of our dreams!!

All of this being said, there are some limitations you should be aware of if you decide to book your wedding here. They have a 12 hour rental period with a strict midnight cut off time for everyone (including vendors). There is also a strict time limit for how long and when people can be INSIDE the carousel house, which puts limits on the design pieces you can implement. I wish they allowed you to rent for a little longer (both earlier in the day and later into the night) and allowed vendors to be inside for the fulltime because I really feel like the space is so perfect for so many types of weddings and clients would totally be willing to pay the extra fee.

The park faces to a main road on one side and the Amtrak runs along the opposite side so there is the chance that the train or just people driving / biking / walking by will cause some noise during our wedding - none of which phased us!!”

“Perfect location for any party! Also a lovely building inside and out. Everyone had so much fun! The management staff are very nice and accommodating, but also significantly overworked so don't leave any communications for the last minute.”

“My dog Captain loves MacKenzie Park. He's been going here since I first adopted him from Spark Rescue Santa Barbara. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star rating is because the 20lb or less area has no shade. On a sunny day more than half the day that area will remain empty. The large dog side has all those pine trees that give it an amazing amount of shade. With this recent heatwave, it was just to hot. Luckily Captain is 75lbs so we are in the shade. Except for that, it's the perfect place. I hope they'll do something soon. It really isn't fair for small dog owners.”

“If you want excellent tri-tip this is the place to go. They began as a market selling a variety of beef cuts including the local favorite, tri-tip. They sell marinades and can also pre-marinate your meat if you so desire. A few years ago they launched a restaurant and catering service which is as delicious as the meat they sell. Highly recommended!”

“We loved our time at the Kimpton Canary in Santa Barbara and are so glad they are a Chase Edit property. The property is in excellent condition, the staff were all warm, engaging and helpful and the location was ideal for walking to restaurants and shopping. I also really appreciated how the valets offered to charge our EV and apparently they had a few chargers they could plug into. The on site breakfast was also very nice. Totally impressed!”

“Good experience overall. In line with other 5 star hotels although I understand why some folks are complaining. Service was okay, not 'wow'.

We did an anniversary getaway between Christmas & new year. Overall pleasant.

(relevant for Amex card holders) My only complaint is they didn't properly apply my Plat credits for one of our breakfasts so we got overcharged a little over $100. I called the hotel to fix, charge was reverted but then posted again. Not worth the hassle at this point for me but I'd recommend you keep an eye out at checkout.”

“The Rv park manager was super helpful and friendly. Someone else had taken our assigned space but she got us into a better space. We are very grateful and happy with the camp manager helping us have a pleasant stay.”

“Charming old world hotel with a lovely lobby , nice pool, and great front desk staff with responsive housekeeping. The location is perfect and close to everything including the beach! Next time however , I will ask for an updated room and one that is bigger and quieter. They are remodeling the 3rd floor now, which is deafening and goes on from early am to after 8 pm. This something I wish I knew would be going on before I booked my vacation , but hopefully they will also be installing soundproofing to address the paper thin walls between rooms. If you stay here be prepared for unbearable noise and go have fun on the beach or the patio at honor bar or the bar at lucky’s!”
