Animal Kingdom of Santa Monica
300 Pico Blvd, Santa MonicaI had a fantastic experience with Christine from Animal Kingdom. I reached out for a mobile nail trim for my very shy and skittish cat, and she was super easy to schedule with. Most importantly, she was incredible with my cat! Confident and gentle and the whole thing was done in a matter of minutes. I'm so pleased I found Christine and I highly recommend her and Animal Kingdom!

The Pet Affaire
3013 Lincoln Blvd, Santa MonicaWe absolutely love the pet affaire !! We’ve been using them for over 30 years with multiple dogs and their service is unbeatable. All of our dogs have always looked forward to going there and they always look amazing when they come home. The owners are wonderful and I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. My new little guy loved his first grooming and it’s nice to know he will look forward to going. Just as much!! They treat you like family and they really care! Thank you so much for all the amazing work you do!

Moon Doggy's Grooming
1838 Lincoln Blvd, Santa MonicaI had such a great experience from beginning to end. Starting with with booking with Daniel, who was really kind and helpful. First thing he said was that he wanted my pup to have a great experience and want to come back - loved that. The ladies who do the grooming are amazing. Donna was the groomer that helped my fur child and she left her absolutely gorgeous. I should add that when I brought her in she was a matted, mop bucket. Thank you for her transformation. Also shout out to Leslie and Daniela who are the other sweet groomers that work there. I definitely found my new place!

Paws & Effect Pet Spa
3030 Pico Blvd, Santa MonicaI took my Bernedoodle to Paws and Effect for his very first grooming appointment, and to be honest, I was nervous. First-time groom, big fluffy puppy energy, and the emotional stability of a toddler after 3 Red Bulls? I didn’t know how he’d react but the check in staff was so patient and let me show them photos of how I wanted him to look!
When I picked him up… I almost cried. He looked amazing. Soft, fluffy, perfectly trimmed—but still looking like him. No overly shaved doodle disaster here. He was happy, wagging, and not at all stressed out. They clearly knew how to work with his personality, not just his fur.
I can’t recommend Paws and Effect enough. If you’ve got a doodle (or any dog, really) and want someone who actually cares about your pet’s experience and appearance—go see Kathy!
Four stars only because his mowhawk was a bit uneven but that probably because Benny wouldn’t stay still with the clippers and his nails are a tad too long but maybe that’s just my preference.

Lucky's Pet Care
2709 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa MonicaMy friend's cat needed a simple nail trim and we called all around town and none of the petco's or other grooming places could do it. We were so lucky to find Luckys! Not only are they super friendly and professional, they're super close, super fast, and took us without an appointment. Thank you Luckys! We'll be back.

Rover Kennels
2116 Main St B, Santa MonicaI have boarded my dogs at Rover several times now, and they take great care of them. One of my dogs is very anxious and needs to be kept with my other dog at all times, and they make sure to do so and send updates with photos. Despite my dog's anxiety, they both seem happy here. This last time they were boarded, one of my dogs actually got a minor injury during friendly play. The Rover staff took such good care of her, taking her to the vet, covering the costs, and making sure we were updated every step of the way.

Pet Care

Santa Monica Veterinary Group
1708 17th St, Santa MonicaFortunate to have this vet urgent care in Santa Monica. I was able to walk in Sunday morning when my dog had an ear infection. The staff & vet Dr. Hinchey were kind and caring. Medical treatment was comprehensive and reasonable priced (for the area). I really felt good leaving, knowing that my dog was well taken care of, treatment plan in place with a follow up scheduled.
I’ve been here a few times for urgent care over the years, as well as some other ER vets in the area, Dr. Hinchey is a gem!

Santa Monica Pet Medical Center: Yuan Michael DVM
1534 14th St, Santa MonicaMany great things to say about SMPMC, however, this review is specifically about one of the team members, Monica Munoz. Monica is always upbeat, friendly, a great listener and always willing to go the extra mile in providing great customer service be it on the phone or when I have to bring my dogs to the office. It's stressful enough dealing with medical issues for our pets and while Monica understands this, she always try's to take care of the clients needs so that you as the client can test assure that everything behind the scenes will get taken care of. She's a true asset to SMPMC.

Santa Monica Pet Medical Center: Dr. Anthony George, DVM
1534 14th St, Santa MonicaDr. George is the best!! I took my dogs to him for over 20 years. The man loves all dogs. My Welsh Terrier had a degenerative disc problem. Dr. Georges acupuncture gave Oliver a lot of relief. I have moved to Arizona and I have taken my current Welsh Terrier to over 10 vets to find someone close in knowledge and compassion to my favorite vet. My search has been futile. Here they treat dogs like cars going in tor a tune up. You first meet with the assistant and then the vet comes in to check out your dog. Than the assistant comes back out and put a list of services they think your dog needs on a computer screen mounted from the ceiling so you can get a good view. screen. It is never less than $500. You are so lucky to have a Vet like Tony. Just appreciate him.

Puppy Play Time
627 9th St, Santa MonicaJoe is the best thing that’s happened to my rescue pup since being adopted. She’s struggled to open up and I also feel bad for leaving her during my long hours at work. I found Joe on google and gave him a shot… the cute pup pics Sold me! My dog now is a different dog… she shakes less around new dogs and tail is up and wagging! She actually played for the first time with our cat! I’ve never seen her play at all, ever, before this. Joe is very accommodating with last minute requests and charges a reasonable price for full day daycare. I trust Joe implicitly. Also, he’s better than dog whisperer!! :) I’m very jealous of her.. beach walks, fresh air, and lots of new buddies!

Balanced Dogs
2632 Wilshire BlvdSuite 345, Santa MonicaWe highly recommend working with Dee for any and all dog needs!
We rescued a 10 month old puppy this spring and added her to our family with two other dogs and a cat.
Within the first week we discovered our new member was extremely anxious (she escaped once and was gone for hours), was up through the night and not housebroken. This prompted us to connect with Dee where we collaborated on our goals together, and set our focus on reducing anxiety, potty and crate training, and teaching hand signals to keep our pup from bolting out the door.
Two months later, we are THRILLED to report that our puppy’s anxiety levels are down dramatically, she is 99% potty trained, fully crate trained and sleeping through the night and not a single attempt at an escape. An added bonus is seeing the benefit all of this has had on our other dogs and how quickly the puppy and cat were able to integrate.
We did our meetings with Dee over FaceTime, starting at 3 to 4 times a week, and naturally decreasing as Dee’s program was so effective. Dee is extremely knowledgeable, provides clear instruction, and has a way of explaining situations from a dog’s perspective that makes it easy to understand the interventions.
Scheduling time with her was easy. We greatly appreciated her being firm about following guidelines because it kept us on track. However, she is also understanding and flexible when we expressed needing adjustments based on our own lifestyle or goals for our family.
We have a calm and cohesive family and are beyond grateful for Dee who was integral in this process.

The Upper West
3321 Pico Blvd, Santa MonicaPlanning our holiday event at Upper West Restaurant turned out to be an amazing decision.
The entire restaurant was decorated beautifully and looked very festive, and combined with great food and warm service, it became the perfect holiday party. Many of our company’s employees told me this was the best holiday party they’ve ever had.
From my first meeting with Fred, the process was simple and stress-free. He even helped me find the perfect DJ and assisted with decorating the tables and buffet, making everything come together seamlessly.
Highly recommend Upper West for holiday events or any special occasion ✨

The Curious Palate
395 Santa Monica Pl 3rd Floor, Santa MonicaKind of tucked away in the corner of the mall’s third floor across from the children’s museum but it wasn’t too hard to find. The restaurant was empty at 6pm but people started shuffling in not long after. The owners greeted us and were kind and attentive.
We ordered the chili swordfish and the California burger. The cauliflower side was curry flavored and quite tasty, the swordfish had a firm texture but was a bit too salty. The burger looked great, the patty was well seasoned but on the dry side. The house salad was huge with a good variety of vegetables. Overall a decent casual dining place as advertised.

2633 Lincoln Blvd #202, Santa MonicaWe adopted our sweet cat here a few months ago and they've been great! They did a detailed home check to make sure that their adoptable pets will only go to loving, safe homes. For me this is very important! The adoption coordinator has been super helpful, giving us lots of advice on how to introduce the cats to each other and other questions we had. They truly care about the animals!
