The Ruff Ranch
1553 Meadowvale Rd, Santa YnezEveryone at the Ruff Ranch is so kind and genuinely loves dogs. I have used many doggy day cares over the years and this is the only one that my dog happily runs into. All the staff greet him by name and remember him (even when he hasn't been there in weeks). I love that they take the time to get to know your dog and their temperament and gently introduce them into the right play yards and don't overwhelm them. It is also the only place I have felt comfortable boarding our dog, especially since I know they get lots of playtime and and attention.

Because we're members, we get free wine tastings. Every type of wine they make is absolutely delicious ! Toss, the winemaker is able to keep his prices super low compared to the prices of other delicious bottles at other wineries in the area. The wine tasting room is unpretentious located on a street in Buellton with a few other tasting rooms. It's just a small tasting room and patio. Nothing else is needed because the wine is so delicious.

3010 Roblar Ave, Santa YnezWe had reservations for our friends bachelorette party and were sat inside. The atmosphere was nice and it was poppin on a Friday around lunchtime. We had the wine tasting (which was pretty good) alongside salad and charcuterie board. The staff was kind, atmosphere nice, and if we had more time and if it wasn't raining would've love to have checked the outside a bit more but all in all- I enjoyed it!

He was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, and genuinely kind—never rushed us and explained everything in a way that made the tasting even more enjoyable. His wine recommendations were spot-on, and he also gave us fantastic suggestions for restaurants in the area, which we really appreciated. Jay made the visit feel personal and welcoming. If you’re tasting here, hope you’re lucky enough to get him!

1095 Meadowvale Rd, Santa YnezMy husband and I were staying in Solvang with our dogs. We came here for an early lunch. The exterior is cute with a rustic feel and there are plenty of seating outside with a gorgeous view. My husband went inside to order and I waited outside with our dogs but they told me I could come inside with them. I ordered the tuna sandwich and my husband got the turkey sandwich. I almost ordered a small charcuterie board for us to share but then thought it’d be too much food so I held off. The sandwiches were unique and not your typical tuna or turkey sandwiches. We were impressed with the taste and quality of the food in addition to the customer service.
We ended up coming back a second time 30 minutes before they closed at 3pm. I got the tri-tip sandwich while my husband got the meatloaf sandwich. The owner even came out to meet all 3 of our Shih Tzu. We will definitely have to come back the next time we’re in the area.

Farm and Country Shopping Center, 3544 Sagunto St, Santa Ynez8 of us for lunch. Best place in the area for Mexican food. I had the enchiladas mariscas - shrimp, scallops - fantastic. Everyone loved the food. The service was extraordinary, especially given the large group & the busy lunch hour. We never pass up the opportunity to have lunch here when passing through.
