Pet Grooming

Dandy Dogs
7398 Calle Real Ste E, GoletaJeremy and the Dandy Dogs team are fantastic! My wife and I take our golden retriever, Maggie, to visit Jeremy at Dandy Dogs a few times a year, and we are always so happy with the level of service and care that Jeremy brings to his business. Maggie is always well taken care of at Dandy Dogs, and my wife and I feel totally comfortable leaving her in Jeremy's care. We highly recommend Dandy Dogs to any pet owner looking for a groomer that consistently does a great job, and brings a next-level personal touch and care to their service.

Pet Care

The Goodland Pet Hospital - La Concepcion
7126 Hollister Ave, GoletaDr. Kelly and the entire team at Goodland Pet Hospital are amazing. We looked at a few different vets and couldn’t be happier with our decision to make Goodland our dog’s primary vet. They’re kind, knowledgeable, and take the time to explain everything clearly and follow up thoughtfully. Whether it was a small issue or a major surgery, they handled it all with professionalism and compassion, always keeping us informed and at ease. Truly a wonderful team—we wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Goleta Airport Pet Hospital
300 Storke Rd, GoletaGoleta Airport Hospital is absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff made both my dog and me feel completely at home. I brought my Corso, Mochi, in for an exam—and she didn’t even want to leave the office!
The vet techs were wonderful, and Mochi clearly adored them. She came home spoiled with treats, a toy, and even a flower on her collar. Thank you to the entire team for such a caring and positive experience.

Pet Sitting & Training

Elite Pup Training
12240 Calle Real, GoletaI can confidently say that I have a totally different dog now than when I started. I got a rescue puppy border collie (questionable life choices but I digress). She was very reactive and pulled on my leash, walks were a nightmare and she would run out of my house and escape and would not come back when called. I've learned how to bond with her much more so that her aggression, reactivity, barking and leash pulling are all manageable. I was so nervous going into it that she was beyond hope, but Ricky fully understand my dog, assured me there was a good dog inside of her we just needed to coax it out and now I see it. She's such a sweetheart and I can take her for calm, peaceful walks now. Everything was seamless from the communication, the booking, the training etc. It was worth every single penny. In fact, I am not ready to be done so I am booking another 3 sessions :) If you have a tough dog, or just want a tune up on your dog or new puppy I can not recommend Elite Pup Training enough!! Thank you for everything Ricky and team (Ellie says thank you too for the good training, the yummy treats and the clean fancy water bowl after each session)

Perfect Puppy Academy
733 Carpinteria Street, Santa BarbaraAnne Swan is by far the best trainer in town. Whether you want a perfect home companion, or a dog to compete with, Anne has the experience to me all your needs. She advocates positive reinforcement training techniques and every dog that has taken a class from her absolutely adores her. There’s no need for choke chains, prong or shock collars when you work with an experience trainer like Anne Swan.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Captain Fatty's Brewery
6489 Calle Real Suite D, GoletaHad a great afternoon drink at Captain Fatty's. The vibe was super relaxed, the beers were crisp and refreshing, and it was the perfect spot to kick back for a bit. Friendly staff, chill atmosphere, and plenty of good brews on tap. I definitely need to come back and check out some of the food trucks that stop by. Cheers! Check out my visit @sosalicious805 on the gram.

SAMsARA Wine Co.
6485 Calle Real STE E, GoletaWe are proud members of Samsara and love it so much! It’s fun that they have tasting rooms both here at home in Goleta and also in Los Olivos if we want to take a little jaunt into the valley. The wine is exceptional, especially the pinots. The folks at Samsara are such lovely people - Julie, Jack and Genevieve are especially kind and we love seeing them! The programming at the Goleta location is great (bands come to play, etc). Plus, there is a woman at the LO location who brings her guitar and plays/sings! What’s not to love about a free concert?!
The value is incredible. We have gifted membership to our parents in NYC and they also loved it.
Oh, and they’re super dog friendly! Our dog Pismo loves to hang out there, and everyone is so kind about his antics.

Oat Bakery - Goleta
231 Magnolia Ave, GoletaI have been buying the country sourdough bread loaf for some time from Goleta location. I appreciate having this healthy option.
My issue lately is the bread has been burnt on the outsides; giving the bread a bitter taste. Also, the salt levels are not consistent. A few times the bread was very salty.
From their lunch menu, I had the vegan sandwich; it was delicious.

Santa Barbara Cider Company
325 Rutherford St Ste D, GoletaY’all this place is a whole ass vibe. Came in on a mellow Saturday afternoon with my partner because he had heard great things from a colleague. Together, had 5 (6? - I forget, I was drunk) flights. Amber helped us as first
timers … and she was STELLAR. We tried all of the ciders and shaped each of our last flights based on the super punny and thoughtful flavor profiles of the ciders we ultimately enjoyed the most. Can’t wait for them to settle into their new spot! C’mon y’all, let’s rally and get them another satellite location on State St, yah?!

Nikka Ramen | Japanese Restaurant
5701 Calle Real, GoletaPretty solid stop, though I’ll admit I was expecting to be blown away based on all the reviews. I came with family and ordered the spicy tonkatsu with pork shoulder. The portion was a bit smaller than I anticipated — plenty of meat, but fewer noodles than I prefer; the food was really presented very well. The broth was good and definitely had the level of spice I was looking for. Staff interaction was fine, nothing remarkable. Overall, I’d give it a 4/5. Worth a visit, and I’ll likely swing by again and will update accordingly.

Cajun Kitchen Cafe
6025 Calle Real, GoletaGood food, great service and very dog friendly! We sat and had breakfast with our puppy on the patio. They had dog water bowls with ice in it and there’s plenty of patio space for a dog to lay down next to your table. The beignets were great and super fluffy, highly recommend! The yogurt parfait was great and someone else in my party loved the catfish. Another member of my party found the scrambles to be a little lacking in seasoning, but overall i’d say the food was good. The service was incredibly fast and very friendly. This place is overall very good, check it out!

Nikka Fish Market & Grill
5722 Calle Real, GoletaExcellent restaurant and source for sushi/sashimi grade seafood. Cash & credit/debit cards accepted. Indoor and outdoor seating. Can get very busy at mealtimes on weekends - and for good reason!
Excellent fusion seafood, blending Asian and Mexican flavors into a culinary harmony you're sure to come back for. Their tacos are delicious and come with your choice of sauces on the side. Their cioppino is a *very* generous serving of seafood in a rich tomato broth. They changed their french fries from shoestring (my favorite) to a slightly larger size, but they are still crisp and delicious. Plenty of menu options to please a variety of tastes. Prices are about on par for a seafood place in Santa Barbara. Service is quick and friendly. One of my favorite spots for lunch on Sundays.

Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network
1460 N Fairview Ave, GoletaI recently found a baby possum and had no idea what to do with him. Their website was so helpful and informative. The following day I took him to their facility where I was quickly instructed on what to do and a friendly staff member can to retrieve him. I left feeling reassured that he would be in good hands. Thank you for the work that you do.
