VCA Carpinteria Veterinary Hospital
585 Walnut Ave, CarpinteriaEvery doctor/staff here is great. I've often found that even the phone is answered by knowledgeable staff usually. Dr. McPeters lied down to remove my dog's staples and she cared so much about the comfort of me and my dog. It's great for pet professionals to treat each dog like they're special because each dog is special to someone. Thank you guys so much for putting up with me and my crazy foster-failure.

House Calls For Pets
CarpinteriaDr Doria is the best Veterinary Dr I have ever had the pleasure of working with for our family members. Caring, informed, communicative, loving, our Lucy and Lola love her and don’t fear visits at all and Dr Doria is always there for us. “Reassuring” is a total understatement and veterinarians are totally undervalued in our communities we should raise them up because nothing is worse than a member of your family not being able to tell you what is wrong and having a good Dr translate for you and medicate appropriately and never too aggressively.

Rincon Mountain Winery Tasting Room
4187 Carpinteria Ave Suite # 1-2, CarpinteriaStopped here on an impromptu trip with my wife at the beginning of a quick Santa Barbara trip. We spent quite a bit more time here than anticipated. The staff were very friendly and the wine was pretty tasty! My favorite part was the wall of records and they encouraged us to select something to play over their HiFi system. Look forward to stopping in again.

Brass Bird Coffee & Kitchen
4835 Carpinteria Ave, CarpinteriaI love the Brass Bird Coffee and Kitchen. It checks all of the boxes: great flavorful food and beverages, wonderful fresh baked goods, tasty snacks and sandwiches, and a fabulous location with lots of free parking. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and they make wonderful drinks of all kinds served in a relaxed atmosphere. The outdoor patio is dog friendly, has great Wi-Fi reception (great place to work) and also has heaters and a nice fountain. It fits in perfectly with Carpinteria's relaxed small beach city charm. The menu is constantly changing with new seasonal food items, fresh new bakery selections, and seasonal beverages. There are several gluten free items to chose from and many organic choices as well. It is also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine or champagne, lunch or breakfast and when available brunch. I don't generally drink soft drinks but they make several house made sodas that are absolutely delicious without being too sweet. I particularly like the watermelon lime soda. When visiting Carpinteria make sure and visit this wonderful place. You will not be sorry.

Lucky Llama Coffee House
5100 Carpinteria Ave, CarpinteriaGreat food but keep in mind that the avocado toast (specifically the gf one) is only one small slice and it’s extra $ to add on the good stuff. The yogurt/ gluten free granola parfait and oat milk lavender latte were both DELISH! We were told any bowls would take 20+ minutes to make which seems insane (coming from someone who used to work at a smoothie/breakfast/coffee shop we never had that kind of wait even when equally as busy). Luckily, it didn’t take 20 minutes for the parfait but just a heads up if you’re in need to a quick breakfast. You can tell it’s a beloved restaurant of the vacationers and locals and based on taste you can see why, but is still a bit pricey for what you get.Dietary restrictions: Gf bread and granola available

Siam Elephant Thai Restaurant
509 Linden Ave, CarpinteriaFor many years this has been our go-to spot when visiting Carpinteria.A bowl of hot Shrimp Tom Kha with rice is like a staple for the soul of our tastebuds and belly. Noodle dishes are always hot, fresh, and delicious. Back when my youngest was small she would order a chicken noodle dish and ask for all vegetables on the side and they'd do it perfectly every time. The staff here is quick, attentive, and always serving with a smile, which boggles my mind because kindness worn on the face can be a challenge, yet they do it. We have never ordered anything we would not return for, however do opt to try new things once in a while.

Thario's Kitchen
3807 Santa Claus Ln, CarpinteriaReally nice atmosphere inside and outside. Was able to make some dishes vegan I had the Primavera Rosa, no cream, subbed the fettuccine (has egg) for spaghetti, they said didn’t have egg. The dish was super saucy had a lot of vegetables delicious.Husband had the fettuccine Alfredo, and it was really creamy and flavorful .The owner came to chat with us and was nice. Said they’re going to later include on their menu what is clearly vegan or vegetarian. We’ll come back again to try another dish. Might try the vegan pizza next time. They had cocktails as well.Vegetarian options: Ask for options, likely has vegetarian options.Spaghetti doesn’t have egg
