Eclipse Thoroughbred Farm
801 East Hwy 246, BuelltonI am an avid thoroughbred racing fan and own a few horses. my wife and I met with the owners Angie and Mike and were shown around the farm/track/ barns/ paddocks by them for an hour while I am sure they had other things to do. They could not have been nicer. They care tremendously for any of the horses left with them and I would highly recommend their services. Call first to see if they can accommodate you or your group.

1553 Meadowvale Road, Santa YnezWe're so glad we found Ruff Ranch. Our girl needed a place to stay while we attended a wedding and Ruff Ranch was perfect. They are incredibly well organized. Everyone we met was friendly, professional and helpful. Our pup is a little shy and 14 years old. Kayla made friends with her quickly and the team took great care of her including giving her meds as requested. She clearly had a good time and took a nice long nap after her adventures. We would definitely recommend Ruff Ranch...paws up!

What really made the experience, though, was the company. We loved getting to hang out with Tammy and Robert. Great wine, great conversation, and an all-around memorable experience.

140 Industrial Way d2, BuelltonImagine Wine is our favorite wine in the Santa Ynez area. My husband and I are members there and pick up our wines 4 times a year. Because we're members, we get free wine tastings. Every type of wine they make is absolutely delicious ! Toss, the winemaker is able to keep his prices super low compared to the prices of other delicious bottles at other wineries in the area. The wine tasting room is unpretentious located on a street in Buellton with a few other tasting rooms. It's just a small tasting room and patio. Nothing else is needed because the wine is so delicious.

One of my favorite spots in the Valley and a place I always take visitors (who always want to go back!) for breakfast and lunch. Service is warm and friendly for locals and visitors alike.

The best part of our evening was Deanna, our bartender. She was so kind and attentive while taking care of all her customers. We really appreciated her genuine smile and attention to detail. 3010 Roblar Ave, Santa YnezWe had reservations for our friends bachelorette party and were sat inside. The atmosphere was nice and it was poppin on a Friday around lunchtime. We had the wine tasting (which was pretty good) alongside salad and charcuterie board. The staff was kind, atmosphere nice, and if we had more time and if it wasn't raining would've love to have checked the outside a bit more but all in all- I enjoyed it!

Their tasting fee is reasonable and their reds are one of the better ones I have tried in the Santa Ynez area. Service was friendly and relaxed, never felt rushed. The aesthetic of their tasting room just adds a little something to the experience.

Gainey Estate Vineyards & Tasting Room
3950 CA-246, Santa YnezWe visited Gainey Estate Vineyards for a wine tasting, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The property itself is gorgeous, very well-maintained, and set in a super idyllic location with a beautiful garden to relax in.
Our host, Sarah, was fantastic—she was super friendly, incredibly welcoming, and gave us a lot of interesting background information on each of the wines we tried. On the menu, they officially only list a mixed tasting or a red wine flight, but when we asked, they were nice enough to offer us an all-white wine tasting instead, which was a really sweet gesture.
The tasting cost $30 per person for 6 pours. The pour sizes were fair—not overly generous, but certainly not stingy either. While $30 is still a decent amount of money, it's actually on the more reasonable side for US vineyard standards. Most importantly, the wines tasted great, with the reds being the standout for us. Highly recommended
