I had some keys made last year, they didn’t work, I went back two more times and still none of them worked. I gave up and had them made elsewhere. “I went in on a Friday afternoon after looking for an odd and unique buss bar for a vacuum pump that we were exchanging to have rebuilt. I had been to three other electrical supply shops and none of them had or thought they could get that part or something close to make work. So I didn't have high hopes when arriving. It looked like I interrupted lunch (Sorry guys) when I walked in, but the owner jumped right up to greet me and help me out (I didn't realize that he was the owner at that time). I showed them some pictures of what I was working with and asked if they had that buss bar or could get one, or something that I could use. He went off on one of the most in-depth, time consuming, all-encompassing SAR missions I think they might have had. about 30 minutes in, I thought they forgot about me, and I decided to leave. The son came out as I was getting into my truck, and asked if I was still interested in finding that buss bar. I felt stupid and told him that I thought they forgot about me, then he explained that his dad had been searching pretty much every nook and cranny of the warehouse in search of it or one that might work. So fast forward another 15-20 minutes and he emerged from the underworld of the VAST warehouse (no kidding, it's pretty impressive) and he had a buss bar that was similar and asked if it might work. I would have to modify it slightly, but it worked like a champ!! It was supposed to be temporary, but it worked so well, that it is the permanent component in that vacuum pump motor. So, short story long, give them a try FIRST! They are an awesome company and they really do go to great lengths to help their customers. From us here at Vacuum Engineering & Materials (VEM), THANK YOU for helping get this Vacuum Hot Press back up and running that afternoon! I couldn't have done it without your help. I appreciate your far reaching efforts!”

“I was impressed with my visit here for custom plexiglass sheets! I showed up shortly before closing with a shelf that I wanted to recreate in acrylic. The staff measured precisely, gave me my quote, and to my pleasant surprise, cut my project immediately. I walked out 5 mins later with new shelves for my fridge. “I highly recommend working with Pacific Doorcraft! I worked with Andrew and Daniel for a storage builtin in my new house. I wanted a modern and look, and they completely understood the aesthetic. I got to choose a stain from several choices. They were great to work with and very responsive. The overall process was very quick. The installers worked hard to make sure that the cabinetry lined up perfectly with the wall and dropped ceiling for that custom builtin look. There are so many beautiful details like how the grain aligns vertically across the cabinet and drawers and the neat installation of the outlet covers inside the cabinet. I am so happy with the result, it’s so beautiful and well built!”

“I decided to install a new kitchen main faucet, under-sink 3-stage water filter with dedicated drinking water faucet. The filter is connected to a tee off the cold water input. All components ordered separately so I was facing the difficult task of finding the correct hoses and fittings to connect everything together. I knew if I went to Home Depot or Lowe's I would not get expert advise, so I drove to Ferguson Plumbing and Supply with a diagram I drew. It was a good decision, I was helped immediately in a friendly manner and within a few minutes all the correct lines and fittings were selected for me. Everything was correct and the project was completed with no issues. It has been my pride and honor, my bread and butter, and honestly one of the best things that I have taken the time to learn how to do with my hands. Within the time of my short career, there have been many a stores that I have came across to try out, and to see what they have to offer to make my job easier and more enjoyable, and if you live in the bay area, there really arn't too many places that you can go to for the specialized craft of taping besides AMES. However, among the few and far between each AMES location has its own values, merits, and above all, personality. When you are looking at a full day of sanding, or a full day of running the box, it's the small things that can make or break your attitude for the day. With that said, there are not many places within the U.S. that can measure up to the service, the knowledge, and the good vibes that Estella and Victoria provide. These two are the dynamic duo to the fullest and are honestly the main reason I return to this specific location day after day for all of my taping needs! Estella, the Grand Master of making things happen and knowing all things taping. If you are a taper, or if you know a taper, or if you run your own company of tapers, you know Estella. Estella is the backbone of this location and from the amount of information that flows through her, at times, it feels like this company, I honestly don't know what they would do without her. Ever time I have walked through those doors she has always greeted me with respect and put me up on game from the time to I was an apprentice, to now where I am a journeyman standing on my own. Some of the best customer service in the industry could be learned from this woman. She has always gone above and beyond for her clients and customers, specially when a payment was due! lol But also more than that, whatever special tool that you needed, she was right there on phone trying her best to get it in her shop, whatever new tool that came out, she gave her honest opinion about it. Among other things, she was and always will be the Godmother!! Victoria, next to every Queen is another one that has the others back! and this is what Victoria was to Estella, another Queen that had her back. From what I have seen throughout my years she has really grown into herself and has held her own. Dare I say, Victoria is one of the best assets that this company has. These days, it's hard to find someone with the same spirit, determination, and dedication to her job than Victoria. She has just as much knowledge as Estella and always has a big smile while she is at work. I look forward to conducting my business with her every time I walk through those doors with the name AMES on them. I don't believe that I have ever walked in to the store and they have ever been backed up when it came to paperwork, or inventory. Even if Victoria had a lot of work to do she has always put the customer first which I have always appreciated. She is such a hard worker, I think any company would be lucky to have her. I can see her as being a manager of her own store someday, I know she deserves it! All in all, I have been to all of the AMES locations in the bay area and with everything that I have just wrote I'm sure that you can tell why. This is one of the best locations that AMES has to offer. Superior Drywall Applications (My company) definitely recommends AMES to get all of your taping needs, and this location specifically due to the overwhelming support one receives from these ladies who run this shop. They truly are the best, and any company would be stupid to loose these two wonderful employees willingly, just the same as they would be lucky to have them, in which this case, this company is!”
