Came in for a saddle (saw they carried specialized saddles which were recommended to me) and got excellent service from everyone in the store. Chris especially helped me and went the extra mile to make sure it really fit for me after it was installed and that my bike was adjusted properly and accommodated my injuries. Super happy with my purchase and experience here. Prices are fair. Will definitely be coming back here and for a future fit.”
“I just took delivery last week of my Vintage Electric Cafe and I could not love it anymore. The staff at Vintage made the purchase so easy and better yet the shipping from SoCal to New York seamless. They contacted a fantastic local bike shop that assembled the few items that still needed to be done and delivered my beautiful Cafe same day and flawlessly explained the ins and outs of my new ride. I’m a big boy at 6’3” 250 pounds and the pedal assist took a little getting used to but once I got the hang of it, it has been a piece of cake…I’m getting the workout I need and some assist on the bigger hills. The bike it truly a piece of art. Thanks to Eddie and Cam for making this purchase easy and enjoyable. Not the least expensive e bikes, but top quality and you get what you pay for…I’m already shopping for a second. I have 5 motorcycles and have as much fun with this bike as any motorcycle. This little e bike will get up and move so be careful as take it slow…you will be smiling ear to ear!”
“Came to Wheel Away a few months ago in search of a gravel / hybrid bike. It's been so hard for me to find the right bike since I'm really petite and most bikes in this category are not suitable for short people. “George can and will work on anything bicycle related. He also has parts and accessories that you will find nowhere else (other shops will even send you here). If you are into vintage bikes or Eroica, George can not only help you prepare a bike, he has some nice vintage bikes in stock. He is one-man operation, so it can be helpful to call ahead and make sure that he is there (he almost always is during posted hours, but a couple of times over the last 25 years, the door was closed and locked. Stuff happens.”
“I came in on a whim to potentially get a second bike. I was impressed by their selection and how great their prices were. I couldn’t resist picking something up while I was there. They were great in helping me and the lady went out of her way to help me make a decision. She gave me two bikes to test ride and they’ve got a parking lot to ride around in. Ultimately went back in and picked up a 20” bmx bike. The guy working at the station helped to install pegs and adjusted my seat perfectly. The whole rest of the day I’ve just been riding. “I have always had a great experience and appreciate the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff at Mike's Bikes PA.
Sharing my most recent experience; I walked in less than half hour before closing, expecting to drop off my wheel and leave it for a few days for a spoke replacement. Max offered an alternate spoke option that was available in-store (exact replacement spoke would have to be ordered and take a week) and he offered to fix it immediately and stayed a few minutes past closing time to finish it. I really appreciate the extra effort and offering me the option. It would have been reasonable to me to leave it for a few days, so he definitely went above and beyond!”

“Fantastic bike rental. My 10 yr old son and I rented two road bikes for 24 hrs, which they extended for free to give us in effect two days cycling. Bikes were superb quality and in perfect condition. The guys in the shop couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Website also has great suggestions for local rides. Really highly recommended.”
“I just brought home a Trek FX 2 Disk Stagger Gen 3 from Summit Bicycles in Palo Alto. Alain was great. He lifted multiple bikes off of an upper rack for me to try out. He let me ride each one. Alain wanted to make sure that I was getting the bike that felt just right to me. He was so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I bought it around 4:30 pm on a Monday. I had some things I wanted added to the bike and I wanted different tires. Alain told me the bike would be ready the next day, Tuesday, in the afternoon. I told him the traffic would be terrible in the afternoon and that Wednesday morning would be fine with me. He surprised me and got the bike ready for pickup on Tuesday at 11:30 am. Such fantastic customer service! I couldn't be happier. I would really recommend Summit Bicycles in Palo Alto.”
“I bought an e-bike off of FB marketplace and brought it in for an assessment. The handle bars and front tire were assembled backward (lol) but Omar and the rest of the team were kind enough to fix it for me and check for any other potential issues. They taught me a lot about bikes along the way and gave me good tips as I’m new to the area and also to biking as a form of transportation. Would highly recommend coming here for any and all bike needs!”

“I picked up the bicycle I had taken in for repairs yesterday. It turned out that a part which I had paid to have repaired several times before was actually defective, and this time they handled it completely free of charge. When I asked, “Are you sure it’s really free?” they smiled and replied, “It was wrong to have charged you before, and what matters is that you can ride safely.” Since I bought the bicycle here in January 2024, I have relied on them for all of its maintenance. The reviews are clearly divided into two camps. I think some people who view it as just an ordinary bike shop may be dissatisfied with the way they run their business. It is also true that because they treat each customer carefully, their work can take time. I also believe they do not cut corners in favor of profit. There is even a sign that says “the shop chooses its customers,” which I take as a sign of their professionalism. All of the staff provide very courteous service. I like this shop.”
