I have been with ATT mobile over 15+ years as I am reluctant to go through the pain and the troubles of switching

Two days ago, I decided to give Verizon a try porting over my number
And to ensure smooth transition I went in to store (at San Mateo) to pick up sim card and ask to do the transfer altogether in the next day
I lived in South Bay. Picking San Mateo store was only because I had thing to get done and want to get the phone transfer soon
Unfortunately, it was very disappointing and uncomfortable
The individual that helped me showed barely minimum interest of helping. I was told straight to do the transfer at home myself following the instructions from email. Until I told them that I wanted to cancel my transfer and that was when I got the help
Saving details of unpleasant process, ultimately the transfer failed.
Today I was having trouble getting phone calls and text msg (nowadays almost everything need pins in text) whole day.
I called customer support the routing and wait time was like forever

I was going to my familiar ATT store to transfer back and I passed by this Sunnyvale Verizon that was still open (hard to find)
I walked in around 8pm and wait about 5 min, D'Ante came to help and he quickly identified the problem and contacted the Verizon team that unfortunately it was outside of their office hour
D'Ante explained to me the problems, the support needed to fix the issue
D'Ante ask me to come back tomorrow anytime (before 7pm tech team hours) and when he would be in store to help me
Meanwhile, D'Ante gave me detail instructions on couple checks I can monitor from my end before visiting the store tomorrow

Just less than 20 min in store visit, D'Ante swiftly took care my problems and shifted my bad impression. Kudos!”
