“I'm a long time car guy, and I think of myself as a pretty decent mechanic, so it's kind of weird to me that I have a mechanic to recommend. I started going to Eugene for smog checks, and then started having him do work I didn't want to do, or couldn't figure out. Recently I brought him an intermittant spark problem that I didn't want to get into. It wasn't even setting a check engine light on the dash yet. He did the harder work of diagnosing, and that's what really makes Eugene and Ace Auto different. They're more than code readers with a wrench. And like everyone else says, Eugene is honest, hard working, and happy to explain how and why he does things.”
“My family and I have been going to Julio for over 10 years now. As a woman I feel comfortable enough to take my car and trust in him to not rip me off. He is an honest mechanic and does an amazing job for a great price. He always explains in detail what type of service he’s going to do and of the cost of parts/labor. He also shows me before and after pictures of what he worked on. Julio is knowledgeable and provides exceptional customer service. I like that the waiting area is surrounded by plants and is super relaxing.

“Free inspection! In Santa Barbara it was going to be $250 just to look at and diagnose my car. I am so glad I came here. It’s clean, it’s professional and it’s a totally legit garage. I hope my car is fixable. I will add to the review as I find out more and depending on what work I have done.
After the initial inspection, I decided to shell out 200 bucks to have them look at the inside of the engine and found out that the engine needs to be replaced. Thank goodness I did that first instead of fixing the brake booster. I’m very pleased with the service that I had there”

“This place is amazing. Can you say that of a mechanic shop? I have been searching for a good place to go who's work I could trust. Found it!! Super nice (thanks Sandra & Dylan!) extremely transparent with their estimates. They fixed my son's car and made sure I could call with any issues. “They are my mechanic for life! I wish I could give more stars. They are honest and trustworthy!!! While their diagnostics are very thorough, do not be overwhelmed. They break them down to what is essential and a safety issue vs what can wait depending on your budget and what they noted and will just keep an eye on. They truly are mechanics who wants to create a lasting relationship with you and not one trying to get the most $$ they can with each visit.
When I met them I had already seen 3 mechanics and put thousands of dollars into my car but certain issues persisted. They were baffled that anyone, let alone 3 mechanics, had me fix so much without figuring out what the actual problem was. They explained that the issues I had fixed were the cause of an engine problem and would only break down again. Not only that but it was part of a recall not one mechanic mentioned before them. But none of these past mechanics even bothered to find out what the main issue was. Unfortunately, the car was just past the time where I could have the dealer fix it.
At the time I was on a major budget. Straight broke. After giving me my options I asked for their advise. They advised it was not worth paying for a new engine and certainly not worth fixing the existing engine and put my car on hospice care which required a lot of visits but not much $ so I could save for a new car.
Now I am on my second car as is my husband. I had them do a pre-purchase inspection which in turn had the dealer do some needed maintenance before we bought.

“Kevin is the best! I know when I take my car in for an oil change that he’ll do a quick look over to see if I need anything else done. He also always makes sure to ask if there’s anything else he should take a look at which is great cause sometimes I forget to mention stuff. Anyhow I trust Kevin with all of my cars! So grateful we found him! My mom always said that in life you need a good hair stylist and a great mechanic. Happy to say I have both!”
“The technician was not able to get to the back of the refrigerator. He guessed it was the compressor fan but he couldn't move the refrigerator to see the back. He needed a dolly or more help. I tried but it didn't work without a dolly.”

“All of the staff were super friendly and made getting an oil change a positive experience. I also had the oil and cabin filters changed and the tires were rotated. Dawn helped me feel taken care of and showed me in detail everything they were doing.
However after I drove away the tire pressure light came back on and there was a loud grinding sound when the fan/ac was on. I was pretty upset about that since it wasn’t present when I brought it in. I spoke with Joaquin who knew exactly what it was from. I appreciate that he was genuinely concerned about the car/my safety and made sure that he fixed it asap. The culprit was just a tiny piece of debris from the old dirty cabin filter. For some reason the tire pressure light is still on (small leak in one of the tires?) but I am grateful that the mystery sound is no longer there.
Overall I would still recommend getting your car serviced at this place due to the friendly and knowledgeable people who work there.”
“Everyone who helped me was kind and happy to answer all of my questions. My only feedback would be the following: if both lanes are occupied and someone pulls up, they should be directed to the lane that would be done soonest. This didn’t happen for me and someone who came after me got helped before me. Also, they forgot to reset my censor. Other than that, it was super fast and the employees were all helpful. I will get all of my oil changes here.”
“My brother is mentally disabled veteran due to traumatic brain injury. I was worried about him being taken advantage of because i wasn’t there but Bryan was super cool and took great care of him. Reassured us through the whole process and gave updates. We bought an alignment with a 3 year alignment plan and it was great price. Super happy with the service. Highly recommend visiting this trustworthy shop.”
“Jamie was incredibly helpful in assisting me in getting my Motorcycle safety inspected. His shop was the first and only one that was able to do this after trying multiple shops. After a few minute conversation he said “We got this. Bring it in and we’ll take care of it!” Sure of he was true to his word and was able to fully check out the bike as well as got my safety inspection certificate takin care of as well. Straightforward, honest and with over 25 years of experience. I’ll be taking my care here as well.”
“I was so sure that my out of date no longer made vehicle (2006 Saab 9-5) would cost me an arm and a leg to get the AC going again, but Pedro was great to work with and he was able to diagnose the issue and get it fixed AND I didnt have to sell my kidney to pay for it!
He said they do just about all auto work, so I will def be coming back for oil changes, tune ups, etc”
“I called because I recently bought a car serviced here and wanted some information about the work performed. I have never been a paying customer, I live on the other side of the country, NC. Hays went out of their way to get me the information they had. He could have easily told me there was nothing they could provide me. I believe that kind of service deserves praise.”
“They got me right in no wait time mid day and changed my oil, checked my fluids. Told me that my transmission was leaking and I should have it looked at:) All was done in a short 1/2 hour. The staff was courteous and efficient and gave me an online discount. I love Jiffy Lube, the lounge is clean with lots of seating in the comfort of A/C.”
