Not only is the place squeaky clean and looks out of a canine vogue magazine with treats , little outfits and doggie treats but it’s the way she respects the dogs and loves her job.
It totally shows!
Our dog loooooves her and her salon because of the attention ( she never rushes but takes her time ) and of course those cool doggie treats she always gives him.
If you want a dog spa that won’t stress your pup , takes its time to trim nails, brush and trim in a leisurely fashion and pamper them to the kilts this place is THE PLACE to go.

During the last six months of Butter’s life, Dr. Anderson treated him with such patience, gentleness, and genuine compassion. Every visit felt unhurried and thoughtful. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question with kindness, and always made Butter’s comfort the priority.
The entire staff was equally incredible. From the front desk to the technicians, everyone showed such care, empathy, and attentiveness during an incredibly emotional time. I never once felt rushed or alone in the process.
After Butter passed, the team sent me a beautiful handwritten card that they all signed and mailed. That gesture meant more to me than I can express and speaks volumes about the kind of people who work here. It wasn’t just professional care, it was truly human.
I am deeply grateful for the respect, compassion, and kindness shown to Butter and to me during his final months. I would wholeheartedly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a veterinary team who truly cares.
Thank you for giving Butter comfort, dignity, and love when it mattered most.

Matan Dog Training
742 Hampshire Rd a, Westlake VillageI am extremely happy with the training at Matan and have recommended Matan Dog Training to many people. I currently attend the group classes with Amelia ongoing. She is a fantastic and experienced trainer and each class is different, challenging the dogs and owners with different exercises and scenarios. I was also able to work with owner Matan in a few classes. It is clear that he not only loves dogs but he has extensive knowledge regarding their behavior and their training.
I have a working line German Shepherd who was a MAJOR handful. She used to bark and growl at all dogs and walking her was a huge chore. She was extremely reactive. She will always be a reactive natured dog who does not like to be around other dogs, but by attending the group classes she has learned that it is ok to be around dogs, and that she needs to be obedient and appropriate even when she is feeling uncomfortable. This training keeps her on track so that now she can be walked on the street with no or minimal reaction to other dogs. Most of the time she just looks at them now and checks back in with me. It’s really great. Such an improvement.
Additionally, being of working lineage, she always wants something to do. She actually loves the training and can’t wait to go to class. She happily jumps into the car when I say “ do you want to go to work?”. Her heeling, sit stay, down stay and come are all very good from the ongoing work we have done at Matan.
The classes are fantastic and it’s great working with Amelia. I would highly recommend getting your dog assessed and joining us in the groups!

She is so great with my 11 month old puppy and I was amazed at how well she trained him and also myself! She is so patient and pleasant to work with! Once I met her I knew my pup was in great hands! The fan from the air vet felt cool, then we received our food and warmed right up and we noticed the fan or breeze we felt had turned off. They took care of us without us having to ask! Good food is a special gift people give and when it comes from small mom and pop businesses that is extra work and labor put in by caring people.

Everything is extremely thought out, dishes are complex with top notch seasoning and preparation. My go-to dish is the Spanish Octopus, which is perfect for a lunch portion and never disappoints. If you happen to come for dinner, and like to have a cocktail or two, don’t skip their Old Fashioned. Apparently, they use craft alcohols and their bartenders are amazing! The ambiance is vibrant but a bit cramped, reminiscent of the Taco Bell that occupied the space previously. My only complaint about the place is that they take themselves VERY seriously. Don’t dare walk in there with a Starbucks or soda can or they’ll scold you (literally, it’s really quite comical)! Definitely still a HIGH recommend.

Dakota was our amazing server with a personality that lights up a room. Excellent service assisted by another wonderful individual, Katrina, who also had a positive and pleasant outlook. Both were total professionals and provided stellar customer service. We started with drinks of iced tea anf water and then ordered our entrees. My wife had the southwest chicken bowl and I had the chicken quesadilla and both were delicious. We also decided to take their BBQ chicken pizza home for dinner as they looked amazing every time one went by our table. So enticing..yummy!

And we need her and her organization to continue. Right now she is working with an all volunteer crew. Hope she gets the funds to hire some permanent workers.
