2674 CO-135, GunnisonI have been to the River Bar 4 times this summer. (Attempted twice more but they were closed for a private event those times). Of the 4 times, getting there at 4:30 (bar opens at 4 with happy hour) the Sangria has only been ready to go once. Twice it was being mixed up, and once I was told they were currently out. For me, this is a frustratingly poor success percentage on that drink. So, either they have a timeline problem for that drink, or I have abysmal luck. Otherwise, the food is good, the atmosphere great. Garlic fries share really well with 2-4 people. The evenings there is a musician, most seem to keep the music level in a range where conversations can still be had (or we're just sitting out of the way of the speakers). I would like to suggest that you post a sign of some sort up at the highway/parking lot entrance on the evenings the bar is closed for private events. Would help a bit.
