He is extremely knowledgeable, calm, and practical, which has been refreshing. He helped us with required boarding vaccinations, fit us in same day for an eye infection, and provided helpful post-op follow-up care. It’s clear he has a lot of experience and truly knows what he’s doing. Highly recommend!

When the time came for our family to say goodbye, I scheduled an appointment with them. They came to our home and allowed us what time we needed to say goodbye. The whole process was very peaceful. Been raving about “the best sandwich I’ve ever had” for years and dreaming about coming back. Was in Buena Vista after a hike and got super excited to see this place! Can confirm the Italian sandwich is just as amazing as it was back then! Got the Italian, the house salad, and the chocolate mousse and all were delicious!

We’re SWCO locals but were on a roadtrip to check out the skateparks from Durango to Telluride, Crested Butte, Frisco area and Salida.
My three boys and I, ages 6, 13, 15 and I’m 47. Anyway, they’re often picky eaters. This is the first place that was delicious, friendly, and just made everyone happy.
When you’re dropping the kind of money you will to take a whole family out to eat these days, it’s really nice to have the servers (you order at the counter and they bring it to your seat) treat you like you’re a physical human being in the room. Here though, they were downright pleasant! Plus it’s cool to check out the gear in the adjoining shop.
Two of my boys got had the waffles, one had the best steak and eggs of his short little life and my burrito was the best food I had in any of the aforementioned towns. The Bloody Mary and iced coffee were right on as well. :)

Deerhammer Distillery & Tasting Room
321 E Main St, Buena VistaDavid, the manager of Deerhammer Distillery in BV, is absolutely AWESOME. I'm an adventure elopement photographer who was looking for a spirits tasting as part of my clients' day, and immediately upon inquiring with Deerhammer, David was super communicative and kind. He offered to give them a private distillery tour and whiskey tastings, which was a fantastic ending to my clients' elopement day!! He went above and beyond to explain the history, distillery process, and details of each whiskey that was tried. Everyone was in high spirits when we left (pun intended) and I am so grateful to David for going above and beyond in both customer service and genuine care for people. I highly recommend Deerhammer Distillery and will be back!

I enjoy the beer, great selection, and the food quality and consistency has been improved over the last few years so I have updated this from 4 to 5 stars; no longer do I order a medium rare burger and get well done. The cranberry chipotle wings are excellent as is a medium rare bison burger. Fries are almost always extremely hot.
Why not add a basic grilled chicken breast sammich to the menu?
