Yesterday I took him a stray cat I wanted to get checked out before I let her into my home and around my other cats. She was in really rough shape-- fleas, ticks, tapeworm, etc. Basically everything you would expect from a cat that's been living outdoors and fending for itself. He was patient and accepting of this little animal, giving her the immediate care needed and setting up a plan for her ongoing healthcare.
Exactly what I have come to expect from At Home Pet Doctor in Buena Vista. Thank you!

303 US Hwy 24 N, Buena VistaThe short version: really good sandwiches, portions could be bigger, one disappointing salad, fabulous desserts, and longish wait times.
We ate here three times because after a long hike, we were always hungry and this was the perfect spot to refuel. Over our visits, we tried the turkey havarti, which was very good; the turkey bacon avocado, which was good; and the chicken gouda, which was very, very good. The sandwiches are a tiny bit on the bland side, as other reviews have mentioned, but not necessarily in a bad way.
The caprese salad, unfortunately, fell short. It was served on a bed of romaine lettuce and felt overpriced for something that was about 90% romaine.
The desserts, though, were outstanding. We had the chocolate peanut butter brownie and the key lime pie, both made from scratch and absolutely out of this world. Honestly, they’re worth stopping for on their own.
The lines were long and the wait times were too, though that likely depends on when you go. We would definitely come back, and I would 1000% order those two desserts again.

I'm a BV local and just had some of the best Turkish baklava I've ever had outside of Turkey so they keep the selections rotated and fresh and food is hard to beat. Not to mention you might even walk out with a new pair of boots as I did yesterday with The Trailhead outdoor gear shop being in the same open air building! One stop shopping!

Brown Dog Coffee Company

The coffee is delicious, my hub enjoyed his raspberry muffin. They stock a brand of cranberry and mixed fruits drink which our 8yr old autistic son loved. He also enjoyed the decaf oat mylk latte I ordered the first morning so we got one for him the second.
The staff are lovely and friendly. Nice to see normal prices rather than some of the extortionate tourist-tax prices we’ve paid in some places.
