Guilford Animal Medical Center
1795 Boston Post Rd, GuilfordOur dog had been to many vets over the course of her 3years. After many many costly visits with no avail we were recommended by a friend to try GAMC. No one got to the bottom of her issues until we met Dr. Huysman. At GAMC. Within two weeks we had a completely healthy happy pup. We are so very happy and relieved to have found this great group.

Pets' Friend Animal Hospital
2477 Boston Post Rd, GuilfordDr. Alter, Angela and his team are the most charismatic, genuine, and compassionate staff I’ve experienced. Taking your fur babies to the vet is stressful enough, but they go above and beyond to ensure they provide the best care. My cat had constipation issues and they were hands on to show me the X-rays and provided a step-by-step plan to solve the problem. They listen, they care, and they help. They all knew my Aunt and would ask how she is doing and that was a BIG reason why I decided to make them my primary vet. Thank you to the staff for being the BEST experience I’ve ever had while taking my cat to the vet.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Belle Vie Cafe
20 Church St, GuilfordMy husband and I recently visited Guilford for a few days and gave this place a try. I had an apricot, cheese pastry, & my husband a chocolate chip scone, & we shared a cinnamon bun, which was amazing. Yummy! Caramel iced latte was awesome. They were very busy, had to request table be wiped off, still sticky though. Staff were lovely. Enjoyed it so much, we returned next morning for crepes. Place very crowded. We were waiting for a table, & witnessed a fly flying on pastries. I brought this to servers attention, who didn't seem to mind. Gross! They should consider closing case or cover items. So....unfortunately left disappointed. I'd still recommend.

Pa's Place
514 Whitfield St, GuilfordWe enjoyed a delicious lunch here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I had the seared tuna wrap, which was fresh and full of flavor, while my husband ordered the fish and chips—both of us agreed it was among the best we’ve had in a long time.
Service was a bit slow, but the staff was clearly busy, and it gave us time to relax and enjoy the view along with the live music, which made for a perfect Sunday vibe. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn they serve beer, as I had originally thought it was BYOB based on the website.

Guilford Lobster Pound
505 Old Whitfield St #3443, GuilfordIt really is a hidden gem back there. Such an awesome family owned restaurant. Terrific people, and the food is even better. It really encapsulates the New England vibe. It’s almost like a little piece of Cape Cod right in Gilford. It’s a little restaurant situated right on a dock, seemingly frozen in a time when these small New England lobster/seafood places Were really the quintessential family/ childhood memories. With the view, the food, the old fishing pier architecture, the marsh, the ocean, just the entire atmosphere….it genuinely brings you right back to the real roots of a true New England seafood experience. You will understand the nostalgia, and your children will never forget the memory.

Three Girls Vegan Creamery
645 Boston Post Rd, GuilfordI've been going to Three Girls for years and haven't had a bad meal, cheese, or dessert yet. Their menu rotates a lot, with a lot of seasonal additions, I believe their weekend menu is also often larger than their weekday menu. Love the Big Mac Apizza, and I can't resist it if it happens to be on the menu, or when they have the chicken bucket with biscuits! I often end up going late in the day on Sundays, so sometimes their dessert case is low on options, but whatever they happen to have in stock is delicious. Their vegan nut-based mozzarella is absolutely delicious and I could probably eat a whole order of it, but absolutely should not be allowed to. It melts well on top of homemade food and is just really good in sandwiches.

The Place Restaurant
901 Boston Post Rd, GuilfordThe Place lives up to the hype. This is a genuine quirky relic that serves up the best seafood and great vibes. If you haven't been, and if you crave authenticity and character, you absolutely need to roll in with family and friends. BYOB and even sides make it the world's best picnic. Can't recommend enough.
