“This is a long overdue review of US 1, auto sales and services. I have known Ted for almost 30 years, and he has always been there to help. In addition to buying 2 cars from me, 2 examples are as follows;1) My son purchased an old clunker from US 1 when he went off to college. Ted assured me that the car was in good shape, and sure enough it made it through his college career without any major incidents. Additionally, this was a last-minute type situation, and Ted expedited all the paperwork and insurance in a very timely fashion to make it all work.2) One evening, my wife’s car broke down in Yonkers in a very dangerous area. I contacted Ted, and he had a tow truck there within 30 minutes, and also took my wife and family home. For that experience, we will always be gratefulTed is always going 100 miles an hour, but if you have a situation where you need immediate help, he will always be there for you. His team is excellent, and Sonia is always there to make sure that priorities get addressed.Responsiveness and relationships are most important. I no longer live in the area, but if I ever needed something, I know it would be taken care of by the US 1 team.Rick Reid”

“They didn't have the compact car I reserved, so I was given a substitute, which ended up being a huge SUV with new technology that I wasn't as familiar with. However, one employee, Moses Meads, went above and beyond to stay after hours to show me how the vehicle functioned and even offered to swap out the vehicle the next day if I was available. I ended up not being available to return and get another vehicle, but it ended up being okay.”

He was highly upset by the time we got to enterprise but John was the nicest guy you can meet he took care of my son quickly and made the process an easy one . “This was my very first time renting from Avis as my go to rental place had no cars available. The ease of renting at this location was great. This airport is extremely small so as soon as I grabbed by bags from the baggage claim, I turned around and took a few steps and was literally at the Avis rental counter. The vehicle I reserved wasn't available so I received an upgraded vehicle at the same price so that was nice. Once I got to the parking lot to pick up the vehicle, it was clean and already running with keys inside ready for me to leave. Upon returning the vehicle, the drop off process was smooth as well. The whole process took no more than 20 minutes. So I would rent from this location again.”

“I didn't think I could receive exceptional service as I did at the LaGuardia location but I was equally impressed with the service I received from start to finish at the HPN location.Manny was the best! He was friendly, expeditious, and provided excellent customer service. He got me a great car which I ended up keeping for 28 days, and when I returned, he was the one to receive me as well. The location is a lot further from my house, but I choose to rent there because of their customer service.”

“Starting using this location again about a year ago. Very convenient to the train station across the street. The ladies at the front counter are always friendly, professional, and fast even when there are 50 people waiting in the foyer screaming for a car. The cars are clean and fresh. Even when Avis oversells this location, the people here do their best juggling act to find a car for you. Avis needs more locations like this.”

“I had a very difficult travel experience (delayed flight, cancelled flight, rerouting airports) and throughout all that, the one consistently amazing service was through Hertz. Lena (sp?) was incredible and called me back confirming that my car could wait for me even as my flights were failing. Oscar checked in via calling and text (especially when I couldn't hear over the volume of the airport crowds) regarding my car. They both were so helpful. Even when my flight was cancelled, they were responsive and helpful, and had my car ready for me when I finally got to the airport! Amazing service for a frazzled traveler. It was clearly helpful to have gold status. Pick of EV car...super cute Kia!!”

“I rent here virtually once a month, and have never had any real issues to speak of. The staff are super kind, and I've always been helped in a pinch if/when necessary. Occasionally, one of their Teslas is lower than 100% charge when picking up, but I don't really care because it doesn't impact my short mileage needs; however, if someone is renting a Tesla and is going to be driving a long distance, I'm sure it might be a little inconvenient. I think this place used to be a little short-staffed, but it doesn't seem like it anymore, so any previous issues with people being present during business hours are probably remedied. I will continue renting here always. Thank you to the staff who work here and make my renting always a pleasant experience!”

“This company was my body shop for decades, and then they sold it to these new owners. I was worried, but it turned out these guys were fabulous. Totally honest, totally competent. I had substantial damage to my car (over $12,000), and when I drove in they called the car rental company for me, drove me there, got them to expedite my rental, sent me emails with status every few days. The dealt with my insurance adjusters, including when they found some hidden damage....which they fixed before even getting final approval from the insurance company. When I picked up the car, there was not a single thing that needed to be corrected that they hadn't taken care of. They drove me so I could drop off the rental car.”
