“I've never rated a place whose services I didn't receive but in this instance it is absolutely appropriate. My car broke down after hours and I had it towed to S&S Transmission in Naugatuck Connecticut without them knowing in advance. They, kindly, took a thorough look for the problem first thing the next morning. They advised the most efficient and economical way for my repair was to actually go to the dealer. They didn't charge me anything for their time and were super nice. They could have taken the job and charged me hundreds more than it ended up costing me but they were honest in telling me that, in this very rare instance, it would take less time and be less expensive to have it done with the dealer. These are very trustworthy, kind, and friendly people. I highly recommend S&S Transmission.”

My truck started smoking, making this awful noise. I knew if I drove it any further I would have blown the whole engine. I looked up closest mechanic and found Eric at Euro Auto. I was worried it was only for bmw.. Lol
But to my surprise I was greeted and taken care of. Saved. On a SATURDAY! Excellent service, he fixed other underlying issues that I would have not realized, and he finished in 2 DAYS.. Changed my oil and wipers as a bonus. I had never had mechanic service this good in my life, as someone who’s always had car issues. I will be going to Eric from now on and you should too.”

“I highly recommend Quality Used Tires and Alloy Wheel Repair. I would like to share why. A lot has changed in Hamden since the late 1960s and 1970s. Few family-owned and small businesses remain here in Hamden. Relationships are replaced with transactions. Things, places change! And this would include exemplary customer care and customer service that you tend to find in a small town. This is why it was most refreshing to experience exemplary customer service and customer care at Quality Used Tires and Alloy Wheel Repair in Hamden. Yet, I almost drove to Bethany and Waterbury to service my vehicle because neither my call nor voicemail was returned. But, something said to reach out via a chat or text. That did it! They quickly responded, analyzed my situation (bent alloy wheel), and told me to be over there by 4pm. Once there, they went over step by step the exact procedure(s), the detailed cost, estimated time, potential impact on wheel cover, and kept me updated on where they were in completing the work. The guys were great and their great repair work needs to be widely celebrated and recognized. Not to mention the fact that Quality Used Tires and Alloy Wheel Repair was highly recommended by another local Hamden business that I regularly patronize. I believe in writing stellar reviews when warranted. A most satisfied customer I will return and direct patrons there as well for the wheel service(s) requested, for the quality service, and for the value.

“We are beyond so happy with Ralph and his staff. He took our truck right in. It needed a new transmission and cats. Did a awesome job. Plus found out that they had put a recycled computer in the truck after Ralph did more digging into the history of the truck. They only synced the key. So Ralph synced everything else to the computer. The truck runs great. We are so grateful 🙏 you don't find many honest companies these days. We totally recommend Ralph. Thank you again Ralph .”

“Outstanding work and very honorable shop!My car sustained a transmission failure with a 2-3 shudder and other issues.I called this shop and Mario gave me a fair price to replace the transmission. He got me in the shop the very next week and had my car back to me within a few days. They did a fantastic job and the new transmission is working perfectly! They even allowed me to keep the old transmission and torque converter. I wanted it so I could pull it apart one day for fun and see what makes these ZF transmissions tick!While we were at it we noticed another issue with my front passenger side axle. I purchased a new axle from FCP Euro and Mario had the axle installed the very next day while I waited in the office working.Mario personally took my car for road tests with one of his techs to ensure everything was operating properly.I have been looking for an honest and fair mechanic for a very long time now. Every experience I've had with Mario and his crew has been kind, courteous, fair and fast! I cannot express enough how much I appreciate this shop.
