“I have been a satisfied, long-term, frequent-flyer client of Dirk and the crew at Darien Detail. They typically install for me full body and windshield PPF with wheels-off ceramic coating, window tint, and the occasional minor paint repair.
Dirk has a full line-up of trusted subs, including wheel refinishing, PDR, radar detector installation and tire installation, all of which I’ve taken advantage of, enabling him to provide the convenience of a one-stop shop.
Dirk provides a high-level attention to detail on his PPF installs, starting with deionized water (you should see the huge tanks of media in the basement), lint removal from installer clothing (don’t want dust to get between film and paint), and employing custom cut film where appropriate (e.g., removal of headlights on 911 to allow custom cut film to wrap inside of cavity, protecting what would otherwise be the exposed leading edge around headlight that is most prone to chips). Custom cut film is used to extend around edges that pre-cut film leaves exposed, with an end result that is more aesthetically pleasing and provides better protection. Knife cuts are made to the extended portion, reducing risk of paint damage from install.
Dirk specializes in the full range of Porsche models and so no matter how rare or special your Porsche may be, the odds are very high that he has already had one in the shop. That said, he works on all makes and models.

“Went to get a simple car wash from the drive thru car wash to find that it’s been taken over by new owners and is a hand car wash! $25 for exterior (no tip on card). I told the guy I parked under a tree at work and got some weird sap-like substance all over my car and when washing my car he made sure that it was coming off with his power hose and car wash shampoo! Really great service, amazing clean, and you can stay in your car while they wash! Will definitely come back as long as the current people run it.”

“I agree with another, this place is a hidden gem! Ray was one of the few people that could help with our BMW and although it's not a shiny place- I watched him put on booties and take very good care of the car. He is honest, priced fairly, goes above and beyond, fast, and responsive. Close to post and former military. The import place in Alexandria is shiny but when I took it in for another issue, they had our car for over TWO months, left it a wreck, damaged parts of the exterior (for an interior job) - was a nightmare. The locals recommend Ray and so glad they did. Don't hesitate to use him. I miss service and establishments like this.”
“I wasn’t very satisfied with the location that I had the oil change and decided to try this location.
On 9/25 I called them for a few info. After speaking with assistant manager Kellen (hope got it right) I was satisfied with the way he answered my questions, he was polite and professional.
The same day I went just for an oil change. When I got there the manager John was available and talking to him about my concerns with some noise in the car, he didn’t hesitated to look at it. John was very patient clarifying what the problem was and even suggested a professional to do the work. Last but not least, the employee Giovani was also very helpful clarifying a few more details. I highly recommend this Splash location!”

For those looking to spruce up their vehicle, this Shell station is a real asset. They have a generous number of vacuum stations, all of which appeared to be in good working order. This made it quick and easy to clean out my car without having to wait. Additionally, their car wash looked modern and well-maintained, and while I didn't use it on this occasion, the positive reviews I've heard locally make me confident in its quality.
The deli store inside was also a pleasant surprise. It was well-organized and offered a wide variety of fresh-looking snacks, drinks, and even some quick meal options. The staff at the counter were friendly and efficient, making for a quick and pleasant transaction.

“I've been using the Norwalk location infrequently for years. When doing so I just wanted a single, quick, no-frills wash. The cashier staff are obviously working with some kind of commission/bonus for selling the monthly passes, because they push it hard. You generally have to say 'no' to them 2-3 times before they relent and let you buy a one-off wash. It can get annoying.Then I purchased a white car. What was I thinking? In a month of ownership I've been there twice, so I figured I would try the base-level monthly and see how it goes - I'll update my results with this program here later. One benefit of it seems to be the automated entrance once you have their sticker on your windshield. This place is a madhouse on weekends, with backup traffic lines blocking Route 7 sometimes. Anything to 'cut' the manual line (where the cashiers are busy trying to sell subscriptions) seems like a bonus. I avoid the place like the plague on weekends in any event.Wash wise, it is what it is. A goofy little automated soap blast and rinse. It's not concierge service detailing, nobody hand-dries for you, you just pop into neutral and go. Want to wash mats and vacuum? That's all self-serve in the exit lot.I've never noticed scratches/damage to my car in the years I have been going there. And to all of you other reviewers complaining about the ethnicity of the staff? Screw off, you racists.”
