I was totally satisfied with his expertise in transforming my damage paint to like-new!”
“I brought my G80 M3 to Darien Detail for PPF and tint. I worked with Justin and he was great. I had a very short timeline to work with and he was able to fit me in and meet the deadline. I am very obsessive about everything that gets done to my car and the work that these guys do is perfect. Nearly every edge is tucked unless it is not possible and the install is nearly invisible. I opted for the drivers package along with the rear bumper and they were very thoughtful about where to put PPF on the car for complete protection. During the very minimal disassembly, one of the clips on the side vent pieces broke. They ordered two new side vent pieces from the local BMW dealership and replaced them for no additional charge to me. Many lesser shops might just reinstall the vent piece with a broken clip and not tell me, but they went above and beyond to leave my car in perfect condition. Darien Detail has won a customer for life.”

Once it had been cleaned, my 3 year old got in and asked if I had gotten a new car. I was very impressed with this service. “I have been putting off getting the inside of my car cleaned because I thought it would take too much time and I didn't know where I would wait while it was being done. I finally went to get my husband's car cleaned for his birthday and it was such a pleasent experience! It only took 30 minutes for them to clean the inside and it was super dirty since we have two kids in car seats. There was a lovely space inside for me to sit and get work done while I waited. I always appreciate visiting the Russell Speeders on Main Avenue in Norwalk, Connecticut, but today the staff really stood out to me. Usually, if someone tries to slip in through the exit to clean their car without a membership, they get turned around—which is completely understandable.
Today, however, a man drove in, but he wasn’t trying to sneak a wash; he was simply looking through the garbage cans to collect bottles and cans. He didn't bother anyone or ask customers for money. Instead of kicking him out like I've seen happen with rule-breakers, the staff looked away and quietly allowed him to do what he needed to do with dignity. It was a kind, empathetic moment that I deeply respect and loved to see.
A quick suggestion for management: It would be wonderful if Russell Speeders could set up a designated recycling bin or drop-off spot for empty plastic bottles and cans. That way, customers could easily separate them instead of throwing them into the main trash, making it much safer and easier for less fortunate individuals to retrieve them without having to dig through the general garbage!

“I've been using the Norwalk location infrequently for years. When doing so I just wanted a single, quick, no-frills wash. The cashier staff are obviously working with some kind of commission/bonus for selling the monthly passes, because they push it hard. You generally have to say 'no' to them 2-3 times before they relent and let you buy a one-off wash. It can get annoying.Then I purchased a white car. What was I thinking? In a month of ownership I've been there twice, so I figured I would try the base-level monthly and see how it goes - I'll update my results with this program here later. One benefit of it seems to be the automated entrance once you have their sticker on your windshield. This place is a madhouse on weekends, with backup traffic lines blocking Route 7 sometimes. Anything to 'cut' the manual line (where the cashiers are busy trying to sell subscriptions) seems like a bonus. I avoid the place like the plague on weekends in any event.Wash wise, it is what it is. A goofy little automated soap blast and rinse. It's not concierge service detailing, nobody hand-dries for you, you just pop into neutral and go. Want to wash mats and vacuum? That's all self-serve in the exit lot.I've never noticed scratches/damage to my car in the years I have been going there. And to all of you other reviewers complaining about the ethnicity of the staff? Screw off, you racists.”

“Nelson's work and integrity are five stars and beyond! I brought in a 20-year-old car, in rough shape inside and out and got back a car that looked virtually new. All the seemingly uncleanable surfaces were sparkling, the inside was perfect, and the trunk immaculate.
Beyond that, the front right had been badly scratched and the bumper banged in. For literally 5% of what a body shop would have charged, he banged out the bumper, cleaned up and painted the rust spots and bumper with dealer matched original paint. I couldn't believe the transformation.
Truly amazing. Nelson earns the highest recommendation.”
