“The moment you enter the Roger Sherman Inn you are greeted by smiling staff who seem eager to make the evening special. Nes has set an upbeat vibe here. There's just enough of a feeling of the old world comfort of the original building (the bar area) with nice modern touches (the dining room). The kitchen knows how to create sumptuous dishes and the Foie Gras and Duck A L'Orange were spectacular. The bartender made perfect cocktails for us. JP is the orchestra leader for a wonderful team. We love the Roger Sherman.”

“My daughter and I just returned from a stay at the Even Hotel in Norwalk and we were so happy with our time there. Jose greeted us professionally, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location in relation to places to eat and the interstate was perfect. My daughter’s favorite things were the in room yoga ball and mat, well appointed fitness room, and water bottle refill stations. I found the price to be a great value (there was no free breakfast, but most hotels in the area that I checked didn’t seem to offer one either). There was a breakfast that was offered for $15.99 per person. We will return to another Even Hotel when we get the opportunity! We had a very positive experience!”

“Absolutely cannot recommend enough the service at Lakota Oaks. I was in a hurry and left some things in my drawers, and they were nice enough to mail it to me. Their chef is excellent; and provided a plethora of options, including plant-based. Everyone is super nice, from the front desk, to the bartender, to the waitstaff. It's professionalism to the core, but with that warm touch that makes you feel it's personal.”

“Planned to celebrate our Anniversary here and it exceeded our expectations..which were very high to begin with. Quiet, private, romantic, great space in the rooms and catered to by an amazing staff of attendants. Alexander, Warren, Louis and Markell..made our stay so special. Acting as docents, guides and attendants…they acted as if their only job was to ensure our being happy. Truly a rare and unexpected experience these days. Would and will stay there again… with or without their restaurant being open. Hats off to who ever hires, trains and educates these knowledgeable employees… they all act as owners! Thanks for lots of great memories. See you all soon!Rooms: Heated bathroom floors, walk in shower, quality beddingNoteworthy details: Staffs attentiveness, knowledgeable and friendly, fireplace outside always burning, the lounge always stocked and the driveway always salted and plowed”

“My 2 night stay in December 2023 was a good one. While the property is showing its age, they were beginning a property-wide remodel on the day I checked out. Upon arrival, the doorman and the front desk were courteous and helpful. As a Hyatt Globalist, I was upgrade to a suite, which was huge. The room was somewhat dated but clean and in good shape. Based on the remodel projection pictures, this hotel will be fantastic once the remodel is complete. I'd stay here again, even before the remodel. It'll be 5 stars once remodel is complete.”

“Maikel and Jack from the Sienna restaurant went out of their way when we needed a wine opener. They took the opportunity to actually come to our room and open the bottle of wine for us. That’s definitely top customer service .They also had provided us with wonderful service while dining at this restaurant. The food is the best you’re going to find at any hotel. They have wonderful drink options at the restaurant as well as great salads pizzas and fish entrées.Also Maria Aybar at the front desk was so professional, accomodating and friendly. We will be back due to her hospitality.”

“I booked a room at this hotel with points. Due to flight issues and lost baggage I needed to cancel but couldn’t do so due to fighting travel issues until 4:45 day of arrival. When I called Hilton they refused to allow me to cancel either charging me for the night or taking my pointsI’ve been a Hilton Honors member for over 20 years and now feel like I’d rather stay at Motel 6 than deal with a chain that doesn’t care about its customers.Shame on youUPDATE:After the feedback saying I could contact the hotel directly I called. They were very helpful in resolving the issue and returning my Hilton points. Seems there had been a miscommunication. Thank you to the individuals that assisted with this. I definitely feel like a valued customer. It makes a big difference.”

“I stayed at the Stamford Hotel two separate nights during my recent trip back to Connecticut to see family. I stayed in the accessible room with a walk-in shower. I used the mini fridge, which is hidden under the big television. A microwave would've been nice, but I don't think that they have accessible rooms with them. The little convenience store in the lobby came in handy. They sell protein bars, cold brew coffee, candy, and travel-sized toiletries. I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the food smelled good. They do not have room service, for which I'm deducting a star. I ordered delivery via an app so that I could chill in my room in my pajamas while eating. Front desk staff were friendly and professional. The view from my room was epic. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I slept well.”

“Great location if you are looking to stay near Stamford or Greenwich. The room was nice, we booked a king bed but they gave us a double. The entire middle room/lobby is under construction and we still paid full price. Would love to come back when the construction is complete. Our stay was definitely overpriced but would stay again when the construction is finished.”

“For a one night stay it is bearable. Other than that I think the hotel rooms are completely disgusting. A huge cockroach and Im talking huge crawled on to my pillow while I was sitting in bed, i screamed and ran across the room and my partner grabbed it with a plastic bag and threw it outside. the next morning I cut out of there as quickly as I could. The beds are uncomfortable, the bathtub had hair still left in it, the curtains had mold on the bottom, and the carpet on the floor was moist. It is definitely not worth the price you’re paying, super 8 is so much better than this place if you’re looking for an affordable hotel in Stamford.”

“The rooms were perfectly fine for a short stay somewhere. However, I was slightly upset with the absolute refusal to mail me my fire stick I accidentally left in the room. I live in NJ so it’s impossible for me to get back there. I offered to pay for postage and staff refused. They said the only way I could get it back is if I sent a carrier there with a post marked envelope and they’d put my fire stick in the envelope. There are no carrier services that would do that for me.Noteworthy details: The scenery is absolutely breath taking. There are tons of trails you can hike and even some small waterfalls.”
