After going to four corporate owned vet practices throughout Central FL, we went to Eustis Vet after finding them by driving past and we’re so glad we did. They care for our dogs like they are their own. Even when our dog had to have extensive surgery elsewhere, they got the notes faxed and called to check in. This is such a great establishment and I’m so glad we take our dogs here ?

Dr. Christine Cassidy (DVM)

Munchkin, our 11 year old special needs shih tzu, had cervical slot surgery in 2021. She recovered well but it was during lockdowns and we didn't have follow up therapy.
After a 2nd cervical slot surgery in Aug 2023 Munchkin wasn't recovering as well as the first surgery. We did physical therapy and were told we should try acupuncture for her recovery.
We brought Munchkin to Dr Cassidy..
The staff was friendly, the facility was comfortable and clean. Dr Cassidy was wonderful.. Munchkin has been to multiple vets, specialists, emergency rooms, hospitals, and surgical centers in Puerto Rico & Florida. It is rare to find a doctor who understands such complex medical history and is able to put the pieces together and offer solid solutions.
Dr Cassidy has done several acupuncture sessions with Munchkin in the past 2 months and we have seen miraculous results. Munchkin has had significant reduction in pain and inflammation. She has had increased movement and over all higher quality of life. It's wonderful to see her happy and active again.
Each session, Dr. Cassity takes her time to explain why she's doing certain things. What her expectations are, what to look for positive and negative and is always interested to hear our feedback.
She has stayed longer than she's had to in order for us to communicate our concerns or to share ideas and things to try for Munchkins overall health.
We also brought our 3 cats for their well. check ups. Dr. Cassity gave them thorough exams and was wonderful with each one of the cats. She pays attention to details. Makes recommendations. Is no nonsense. She remembers what was discussed in previous visits. This is refreshing.
I wish we had lived in the area and found Dr. Cassity 10 years ago. She has been the missing puzzle piece in Munchkin's care. I honestly believe we could've avoided the 2nd surgery if we had seen Dr. Cassidy after the 1st surgery. We are thrilled with the care she and her staff have provided and highly recommend her.

Even after moving further away it’s worth driving the 40 minutes to get there for me because I know my dogs will get the care they need!

I had been having a challenging time finding a dog sitter (who is capable of upholding my standards and that also knows how to handle a border collie since they are sometimes high energy and are very intelligent) for my 4 month old puppy. The only reason I didn’t come here sooner was because it’s a 45min drive from my house.However, after seeing how worn out Freedom (my pup) is at the end of the day and how HAPPY he is when he starts to see the farmland along our drive each morning, of course this has become our fav sitter. He has also become more cuddly at night because he’s so exhausted.Patriotism is something we value, hence Freedom’s name, and this business definitely represents that. Jodie and her family are amazing! When leaving Freedom here, I am confident that he is being taken care of properly and for me, that is priceless because it allows me to be very present and focused while working. I highly recommend their services to anyone who wants to feel at ease knowing their fur babies are taken care of, routines followed, having fun, and being loved!

200 N Bay St, EustisI was so excited to see that they not only had gluten-free pizza crust but they would do a gluten-free sub/sandwich as well. I get so hungry for subs since hardly anybody ever has gluten-free bread/ rolls. It was the most delicious, spicy Italian sub I've had in my life! My husband got the cauliflower crust gluten-free pizza which was also very delicious. Very friendly and cute little shop. We're only here for 2 weeks but I'm sure we're going to go get it again.

For cats that would otherwise be dumped outside where they would possibly starve or meet some other harm, places like this rescue are spectacular. If you want a cat, please spend some time with the cats here and consider adopting one. And remember to consider the adult cats that aren't as wild as the kittens.
