DG's specialties include doughnuts, brownies and cookies; to go along with customer service (which sounds so prosaic; with DG, it's more so community service).
Doughnuts? The best we have ever had.
Brownies? The best we have ever had.
Cookies? The best we have ever had.
Service? The best we have ever had.
DG started off tucked away inside a gas station, and we started off right there with it.
Everything DG is explicitly 'simple,' but incomparably perfect.
And if ever you stumble upon the privilege of meeting Amanda, or her mother, you will understand exactly where all the heart that goes into these goods comes from.
Heart, and oh so much soul.
Amanda is the loveliest human, and DG is the emblem of care: homey, plant adorned, comforting.
The black raspberry sufganiyot are the single most breathtaking doughnut we have ever encountered, and we were raised on these. The crack brownies are so incredibly straightforward and 'basic;' and yet wipe the floor with every simplistic, rich, or somewhere in-between brownie we have ever had. And the coconut white chocolate cookies put Levain to shame, and could teach Gideon's a thing or a thousand about achieving optimal profiles and maximal perfection without abusing the ingredients. Whereas Levain relies on texture and density with generally uncomplicated flavors; and where Gideon's is a cultized, over-excessive, palate-numbing overdose; DG is the perfect balancing act that understands, underscores and masterclasses culinary quintessential impeccability through equilibrium without overkill.
Service of soul. Delicacies of solace. Sense of home. Astounding generosity devoid of greed. Even without being doughnut, brownie or cookie folk; we can easily say this is bar-none our single favourite bakery in the world. None other even comes close.

14 W McKey St, OcoeeI don’t typically leave reviews, but I had to share how much I enjoyed my meal tonight. I came across an ad on Nextdoor and decided to give this place a try, and I’m so glad I did. Don’t let the exterior deter you—the food speaks for itself.
I ordered the ribs with macaroni and cheese and French fries. The ribs were incredibly tender and truly fell off the bone. The macaroni and cheese was exceptional. I’m very particular about mac and cheese, and this one was absolutely on point. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared.
I will definitely be returning again soon. If you haven’t tried this place yet, I highly recommend that you do.

Jeff's Bagel Run
2787 Old Winter Garden Rd, OcoeeIt’s hard to find a good bagel…anywhere. I found this place on Google Maps and I was drawn in by the pictures of the bagel because it looks like they knew what they were doing. After reading up a little bit online about the Genisis story of Geoff and Danielle’s bagel invention I had to try it out. The everything asiago hot bagel was amazing. The store was packed with a constant stream of bagel eaters. The staff seemed like they loved to be there. The coffee was excellent.
The story behind this place was as exciting as the bagel.
Also got a cool sticker.
We look forward to learning more about how this bagel impacts the city.
