12639 N 56th St, Temple TerraceDined after a show. We made reservations & were promptly seated on arrival. We were provided prompt menus & beverages. We ordered the loaded dumplings for a shared appetizer & all 4 people loved them. Great cook & flavors! All of us would have been happy with a plate of those alone as our entree. But we ordered entrees. Beef stroganoff was well flavored. The cabbage leaf rolls tasty too. But one member of our party got the entree sampler & that seemed the best of all worlds. Each item separate from others, well seasoned & enjoyed. For dessert each couple had the apple belinys they were a light & tasty finish to an outstanding meal. While my spouse & I have gone before it was our friends' 1st time. An outstanding introduction to a new favorite.

The Red Bird Hot Chicken & Fries
11301 N 56th St Suite 6, Temple TerraceI ordered the non-spicy chicken sandwich and it was so good. Everything tasted fresh, and the bun was soft and buttery. The slaw added great flavor and paired perfectly with the sandwich. The restaurant was very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly. They also have a wide variety of sauces to choose from—my favorite was the honey mustard. For such affordable food, it definitely didn’t taste cheap at all. I’ll absolutely be back!

5731 E Fowler Ave, Temple TerraceA lot changed since I came here years back. I liked how the menu changed; it's less overwhelming than before, but still has the better flavors/combinations on there. The drinks are still customizable though if you did want to get specific. The interior has changed a lot too; the furniture is newer, they have a self-service ordering machine, and I like how there's bigger tables so it's easier to have groups. The price has definitely risen, but also I just attribute that to rising costs in general. I got one of my usuals, the Thaiger Queen, which is Earl Grey and Thai milk tea mixed together. Still as tasty as it was years back.
