I immediately received a friendly greeting when I arrived at the Extra Space office on Dekalb Industrial. After asking a couple of questions and explaining my storage needs, Velonique recommended a unit that was a perfect fit. Not only that, she showed me how to use the cylinder lock and allowed me to try it under her guidance – I found super helpful since I hadn’t ever used a cylinder lock.
I’ve since visited my unit multiple times, and called in with various questions, and have had consistently pleasant and helpful experiences.

“Donna Lewis is absolutely outstanding. Not only is this the cleanest storage facility I’ve ever used, but Donna consistently goes above and beyond to make me feel safe, comfortable, and valued as a customer.
One example that really stands out: I have a unit for work and recently had a large amount of boxes to throw away. Donna didn’t hesitate to jump in and help me move everything to the dumpster and helped me throw it all out. That level of customer service is rare these days.
She always checks in on me, asks if I need help, and truly cares about the people who use this facility. I’ve never had an experience like this at any other storage facility. Every facility needs a Donna..she sets the standard for what exceptional customer service should look like.”

I was also impressed by how patient she was with an elderly customer who asked many questions but LaShaundra took her time to answer all of them without rushing her. She apologized to me for waiting during that time but I was pleased with her kindness to that customer. It was worth the wait. She truly represents her company well. “I was surprised at the customer service skills of the staff. They were very professional, and I’m going to say it out loud the area would make you think that the service would be subpar however, I travel around the United States and do a lot of business with rental trucks and I realize this staff had a very professional demeanor not only that they seem to have a good camaraderie amongst their coworkers to which I found very satisfactory my process was simple. I was served with politeness and again I would definitely revisit the Covington Highway location at any time and feel confident I have been treated fairly.”
“This location by far has great customer service . The General Manager Zhanae went ABOVE and beyond to make sure her customers were satisfied ! I came in to rent a small truck which was limited due to the beginning of the month . The person who was helping me stated there were no
Small trucks available . Ms.Zhanae made sure I received a small truck which had just been returned and needed to be checked in. Also There was a customer before me who stated he will come back and rent the next day due to no hand truck dollys being available to rent .. Again ..Ms. Zhanae went out to the trucks and was determined to find him a dolly( which she did ) . In the end , both customers were satisfied and she did NOT let her customer walk Away unhappy. “Tay was so helpful! I really went through it this year. I was in hurricane Helene last year in NC, I lost everything except for what I had in my car; last week my car died. I've been trying to figure out how to put the stuff somewhere so it doesn't get ruined or lost, on a razor thin budget.
I've had a really hard and expensive time moving this stuff around. It took me a long time to get settled at public storage, I was about to get charged for another month for an empty unit that I was never even able to move int! Tay caught this issue I brought it to my attention without me even asking, on a phone call no less (could've easily been a notification that I never saw)
Thats the kind of customer service, that you can't train somebody for (AI cant do it...yet) People who care about people and try to make things a little bit easier for them, try to make the world a little bit better, we need more people like you Tay. Thank you. @nameinlites_”
