Because a lot of it is just you interacting with the folks running the place, and simply seeing if they have the part for you. And if they don't, hopefully they connect me to someone who does.
It's almost like networking. Even if you don't necessarily get exactly what you were there for, Just having a pleasant experience and Getting more information is half the battle.

“I've been referred to Doug and Ford Performance by a couple of other mechanics going back several years. I finally had him do a bunch of work on my F250. Everything was done within the timeframe he committed to and absolutely within the estimate range he provided prior to starting work.
That's just how I expect all business to operate. What makes me tell everyone I know about this business is that they found a significant issue with my truck that was a mystery to previous mechanics and fixed it at a reasonable rate. They also corrected a death wobble that has been a challenge for other mechanics to address, found and corrected (for much less money than I expected) a coolant leak that was the primary reason for the visit, and did other work that went well above and beyond my expectations.
Through all of this, Doug communicated proactively with me while also picking up the phone to answer questions every time I called. He did all of this for a first-time customer.
