“Great target, the parking kind of sucks and is my only gripe. Lots of tight turns and pedestrians walking out of the store are very close to where cars are trying to leave. “This review is about the manager Noelle. She lacks customer service skills! Not sure why one would work in a customer service job, yet does not appear to enjoy it. This “manager” answered the phone and very aggressively yelled at me stating “we don’t have what you’re looking for, you’ll just have to cone to the store.” I at no point had an opportunity to speak or tell her the reason for my call because she abruptly disconnected the phone call. Im actually stunned that this type of management is tolerated. Especially in EAST COBB!! Our neighborhood is friendly with other stores in the area staffed with friendly workers. I have never had any interaction with Noelle nor do I understand what made her answer the phone and snap at me. You never know who people are connected to, so it’s always best to be mindful of how you treat everyone. Maybe she’s just a bad apple, but I will not be back until she is out of there. I have made several viral moments for items sold in Tj’s and Marshall’s so this will be getting reported. Im still in shock that a manager did this, and Im still uncertain as to why! Updating this to a 5!! I spoke with the store manager Shawn and she was amazing! I greatly appreciate your attention to the matter and addressing the issue. Thank you again Shawn for your kindness.”

“This Walmart isn't far from my mother's house... and I really like the store, because of it's proximity to her home. Something about having a grocery store within 5 minutes away - is AWESOME. Even though it's not my preferred grocery store, I frequent this spot for various items. The overall staff energy, isn't necessarily rude, but it doesn't ever feel friendly... I come in with "hello and how are you?"... Walmart has a notorious reputation for not being the best place to work, and this could possibly be the reason for the lack luster energy when interfacing with customers. For some basic and quick needs - it's a good spot...”

“Update*************** Okay - so please don't panic or send me private messages thinking my account has been hacked. Yes - it's really me - and yes it's really my head (H8ful 8 fans will get) - Lol. And now that I've made that reference - please don't message me with QT hate either - lol. SO - I used to hate Walmart. The meat tastes funny. Most of the cashiers are angry, over-the-top stereotypes. Sixty percent of the customers would sooner fight you than move out of your way or act like sane, civil human beings. And - if I'm being 100% honest - all of that stuff is STILL true. So why the five stars? Two words: Curbside pick-up. I can now place my orders online and schedule my pickup time - then drive to side of the building and call the number for grocery pick-up and be on my way and back home IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. No joke - I timed it. So far the attendants have been cool. Not super polished, very young and didn't tell me about substitutions that had been made at the appropriate time - but I'm still okay. Add to that - the last two times I ventured inside for the pharmacy - it was quick and easy. No other customers were in line and the staff made eye contact and let me know they'd be right with me. When it was my turn - there was no 'hood' attitude and I was thrilled at the positive, pleasant personalities of both ladies. I've gone out of my way to fill out surveys in all these instances because I believe in giving props when props are due! *************** I just wanted to share the fact that I recently started using Walmart Pickup at the Barrett Pkwy location (aka Powder Springs Rd location) and I really like it. I especially liked it when I purchased 3 cases of water, 20pack of tissue, 12pack of paper towels, detergent, bleach and other bulky items - which is primarily what I get when I shop at Walmart. But I even ordered groceries a few times - including produce - and they picked some excellent Roma tomatoes for me. Lol. Currently, there's no service fee - though I tipped the attendant and I'm sure most do. The website says they also offer delivery. I was checking out the fact that Kroger offers a similar service. It's called Kroger Pickup (Formerly ClickList®). The store closest to Horseshoe Bend doesn't offer it - but the Whitlock, Dallas Hwy and S Cobb Drive stores offer it. There's a $4.95 charge but it's waived for the first three orders. Publix's version is powered by Instacart and I'm not sure - but it appears that they mark-up individual items instead of charging a flat surcharge - so I doubt I'll use their service as it seems like this would get pricey pretty quickly. The have delivery, curbside pickup and in-store pickup. The stores near us that currently offer this option are Dallas Hwy, Cumberland Pkwy (Vinings) and S Cobb Drive. Most people rave about what a time-saver this is - and I agree. Parking and running around the store grabbing items, then waiting in checkout lines - for even basic groceries - easily takes at minimum an hour. With the pickup service - I was in and out of the parking lot with my trunk full of purchases in less than 6 minutes. And for elderly people or anyone with mobility issues, or just when you're feeling under the weather - this is a great service!”
“I didn't really have any issues with the Walmart. It's huge and has a lot of inventory as expected. I had a little difficult time finding women's shorts. My guess is because it was out of season. The Rowenta steamer I bought here worked great for steaming wrinkles out of dresses and pants.”

“As far as Walmart goes...this one it's better than almost all other Walmart's I have been in. The employees here are helpful but just a heads up, when they say they close at 11 they mean they close at 11 PM. There are no ifs ands or buts about it you better be up there with your stuff in line to check out with a smile on your face because they do not play. They will shut the registers down and you will have to wait till the next day to purchase your items. I really can't blame them and I'm one of those people that pushes the envelope at times....well I pushed it to the last minute there not long ago and had to go home empty handed with no one to blame but myself! They give you ample notice that they're closing down. Great place great employees good selection always clean.”
“Normally this store is OK. But yesterday I tried to look at some plants on clearance in the Garden section and the woman working there was trying to put some clearance plants on the shelves. I don't know if she was a Walmart employee or not but she was annoyed that I wanted to look at the plants while she was restocking. Her huge cart was in the way, she was in the way, and she did not move the cart. She said "do you mind?" and *I* had to wait for her to move. Really? Customer comes first! I guess she was panicked that I got too close and she wasn't wearing a mask. Wear the f-ing mask!! That was uncalled for. You can do better Walmart.”
The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
