“This review is for the Kroger PHARMACY. I'm pretty much homebound so haven't been inside the store. I just want to say that I have saved a LOT of money through their special programs, but more important is the quality of all the folks I've dealt with over the phone from this department. They have been incredibly helpful, respectful, kind and go out of their way to make things go smoothly. This is a true opinion and I'm giving it after dealing with them for over 2 years. My ex was a pharmacist and I'm well acquainted with how much pressure they must work under, and can't even put into words how much I appreciate their help. It's something I don't run across often enough these days! Thank you, Kroger Pharmacists and staff! You're wonderful!”

“Been going to Kroger on Jonesboro Rd for nearly 30 years. My go to place plus Walmart. This new store is incredible although I cannot get used to clothing in Kroger. Great meats albeit very high priced then where aren't they.
Thus store is new, modern and very clean. Layout is a bit odd but probably get used to it
That said, Jonesboro Rd a good bit closer and will probably shop there more often just due to location. If you are closer to Union Grove, this is the place to go.”

“This Walmart recently completed a construction project and resealed the parking lot. Why the Store, District, Area Managers have not seen that the handicap parking is up front yet all the cart returns are far away. At least make an area for us handicap people to return our carts safely and securely. Just another example of coming to work everyday and not seeing an issue.”

“I always enjoy coming to this Sam's because of the quality items and value I get from the store. There's always a decent size crowd whenever I go so I use the app to scan n checkout to get out quickly. This time I saw a live performance near the wine station, and I love the free samples throughout the aisles. This visit I had an ice cream sandwich. The workers are available whenever I need them and that makes my visits worth while every time.”

She made the basket custom ready and was excited to do it.

“This location is honestly a hit-or-miss because sometimes there's just too much merchandise all over the place. Today it was in good condition there was some merchandise out but not overly packed like I have seen it before. As usual it seemed to be only one person staffed, which is not the best policy. I hate that their safety is in jeopardy because they are working the entire store, go backs, stocking, and the checkout. They're often in the back of the store working and stocking shelves and then you ring the bell up front to have them come check you out. They used to offer one self-checkout kiosk, but that seems to be closed now. They need to staff their stores better because that's not fair to overwork your employees nor is it fair to put their safety in jeopardy by having them in the store by themselves. The young lady working today was one of the most polite and friendly staff that I've ever come across at a DG. She was responsive to every customer, every time someone rang the bell she politely said be right there. When customers asked her questions, she was quick to try and help them. They (DG) need to retain her and have her train other employees, because she was just a very pleasant young lady. If this were my first visit to DG I would definitely return just because of how well she treated customers. Almost forgot, her name is Joann.
You never know what you will find at Dollar general so it is best to look around when you do visit. You can always find good deals at the end of any particular holiday or season so be sure to check the clearance aisles. You can also find your everyday staples here such as your milk, bread, crackers etc. They also have toys and gifts, packing supplies, licensed clothing, baby needs, kitchen supplies, basically they cover all the basics for a quick run in and grab something. I often wonder how in the world they pack such a small store with so much stuff lol. The prices are usually fair. Some of the same items you may find at your local dollar stores you will find for less at DG. If you check the app or the weekly circular you may find coupons and deals in there. If you shop anytime during the week you typically will receive a receipt coupon for $5 off of $25 for the Saturday of that same week.
DG should focus on keeping its stores clean and aisles free so you can shop there comfortably. And most importantly they need to staff their stores and take care of their staff in terms of paying them adequately in treating them properly.”
“Good location. Has many specials but some items seem overpriced. I love the app that helps you find specials. I would recommend to preplan your specials. The self check out system is not that great. Any movement you do wrong the team member has to verify if any “theft” was done. Which is great to prevent shop lifting but delays the shopping experience.”
