“Our experience was very good! We went over our questions about where we are not allowed to take the car. Man gave us a map. My only negative comment is that the man told us the car was by the back fence but didn’t really directly show us where the car was. It was brutally hot and we were just wandering around with our luggage. My husband went all the way back and man apologized and showed us to our car. The rest of our trip went well! It was a quite new car that was very clean. We left it in the same condition. The process went smoothly with the return. I like Alamo, after renting 3x from them on this Hawaiian trip throughout the Big I and Oahu.”

Returning the car was easy, there were no additional fees if we returned the car in good condition and full of petrol. We Free transfer to the airport by Aiona.”

“Awesome Experience with this place! First, a note about the Hilo Rental car market, this was just a couple weeks ago, no Festival going, the heavy wave of tourists for the Volcano calmed down, and there was only ONE, yes, ONE rental car available from any of the Big Companies (hertz, payless, etc.)! it was like this for a couple months, if not still today, and when you could find one it was outrageously expensive. Get it together Big Car Rental Execs!Ok, I wish I remembered the owner's name, she really took care of me. She was on the way back from an appointment and picked me up from a mechanic shop in Hilo where I was getting a sudden and emergency repair to our main vehicle. She not only had a couple vehicles available to rent, She didn't Gouge in any way. It was like $70.00, which was Lower than Turo or the big companies by at least $30. This speaks volumes about the company, being that she had the only cars available and could have gouged.She also Referred me to a local mechanic that was down to earth, knew their stuff and save me several-hundred-dollars in the process of fixing our truck, which is why we were renting this time in the first place.We started with the Mini-Van and changed out for something sportier a couple hours later, and again, She was super-accommodating. The minivan was pretty nice with the automatic doors and all that room could be perfect for us on some occasions, but we had no need for it this time. The Ants weren't in it, as someone else commented, however; I would just like to point out, if this sat for a little while, or someone had it at the beach a lot, THIS IS HAWAII! It happens. Ants hide. I'm sure when these guys discovered it they took care of it.Our CRV was Great, Our Deposit was Returned, however; we did have to call and remind her. Keep in mind this is a small business…Small Dings and Dents are going to MATTER more to these guys. They don’t handle the volume of the big guys. And little things like secretarial and bookkeeping you may need to stay after, as the owner is doing it all. At least the majority of the time.With all that said, you do exactly as I do even with the big companies, and you WON’T have a problem..-As soon as you pull the car to an open spot, take photos around the perimeter of the car from about 6-8 angles, so every ding scratch and scuff may be blown up and seen later, Even the rims.- Take a couple photos of the interior also if needed. The Gas gage too (If not full). Your photos are time stamped automatically.- When you return, wipe it out, throw out the garbage and use a couple rags to wipe the mats and such. Not too Difficult, right? If it happens to not be raining in Hilo, give it a hose down. This will be your biggest pain in the rear in Hilo, finding a working carwash (Or working machines to put air in your tires..anywhere!LOL). Oh, there are not any quarter operated carwashes either. I guess cause it’s usually raining.Enjoy this majestic and beautiful Place!Aloha”
