“Charles Schwab has been my stock brokerage since... basically this year. Started with Scottrade which was acquired by TD Ameritrade, which was recently acquired by Charles Schwab.With almost everything being done online or over the phone, there's not a whole lot of need to go to the office. Though there are times when having face to face interactions and direct communication is much more better.This new Charles Schwab office is located along Bishop Street, right before Queen Street at the street level of the Davies Pacific Center. This building has a parking garage, but not sure if there's validation. If not, there's metered parking around. The newly constructed office is super clean, bright, and welcoming, of course.I had an issue that just needed better clarification because communicating through emails and phone calls (which you need to WAIT and WAIT and WAIT) was just not getting anything done. The time zone was an issue, and some people just don't have phone voices (and Aloha spirit).Luckily the team at Charles Schwab were very helpful and patient. The receptionist was exceptional. Friendly, kind, patient, and very helpful in getting the assistance I needed. Their team helped me double check everything to make sure all documents were filled correct and all supporting documents were included.Needlessly to say, everything went smoothly. I'm glad this office is here with an amazing team to guide and assist me in making sure the process is done right the first time.”

“Financial transactions in Honolulu, Hawaii...My cousin needed a new debit card from American Savings Bank (ASB). I knew about this location because I kept looking at it from across the street last year when our Jaycee group participated in the Dragon Boat Races at Aala Park. Besides being one of the sponsors, ASB also had a very spirited team! I told my cousin that we should go to this Aala Park "Campus" location because it had free covered parking and is a new building! Yes... the interior is very pleasant and clean. There was an employee in the parking structure - acting like a guard and/or guide. Inside, another employee asked if we needed help - I think he was screening us for possible loitering because we were chatting on one of the sofas.Well - it was a successful visit. My cousin was able to finish his transactions successfully. If he needs to return, I would choose this Campus Branch again.”

“I worked with Reyn Sugai and Amber Hong to get my first mortgage loan on a new house through American Savings Bank. The process with them was seamless! They were always available to answer my calls and texts and made me feel like I was their only customer and their top priority. They got me the best deal and they went the extra mile every step of the process. Great response times, friendly service, and lots of communication. “It was great having the Deloitte tax team visit my job to discuss the major tax changes for the 2018 filing. Since there was quite a bit, my boss felt we could benefit from having the tax team share this information. They provided a comparison from the previous year to reflect the new changes, and they explained in detail what it meant. They were not there to sell any services, but to educate us on the changes. The Deloitte tax team had a representative explain the Federal taxes changes, another regarding State taxes , and an accountant that has been with the company for 30 years to oversee this session. They were all knowledgeable and great at explaining even to those that don't do their own taxes, there was lots of questions and they were patient at answering.”

“Best bank in Hawaii, IMHO. Their fraudulent transaction department saved my bacon again this morning as they always do without fail and have protected me for years, except for an 11- year hiatus while in Seattle, going way back to the 1990's. I'm 74 and I've seen my share of banks and I LOVE American Savings Bank. The managers, assistant managers and customer service people are always efficient, courteous, friendly, helpful and they truly LIVE ALOHA!”

I now have a safety deposit box a savings account and a checking account every time I go in the bank I am treated like family I have seen first-hand them treat everyone with so much respect. regardless of how much money they have in their account everyone gets treated with the same amount of respect. definitely my type of place today Dustin was able to connect with us we were able to chat just a little bit about a good certificate of deposit (CD). I just sold my home on the mainland I would definitely not want my friends and family going with another bank based on what I have witnessed with my own eyes.”

“Well the person who I spoke to on the phone was great. But I got to ask you the question. Why don't you guys have any any banks or ATM machines on the island of Oahu hawaii?”

“This is the place my family does it's banking. I can't complain. I usually come early before the lunch hour to avoid the lines that form during lunch and in the afternoon. Staff is usually friendly. Usually we say hi to Eliza when coming here to deposit and what not. Haven't had too much trouble coming here. I wish tellers were more consistent. There are always new faces. There has to be a way to convince people to stick to a job. Not only that, new tellers are nervous so tend to talk story more. I see why the previous reviews talk about the lines being long. Perhaps the proper training on how to move the line will help. The guy in front of me was rolling his eyes as the teller was talking story with a couple. If there is a long line, conversations with customers should be brief. Have consideration for those people waiting for service. Another thing about this place is the parking lot. It needs to be repaved and restripesd. I can barely see the lines in order to park the car.”
