“I had a great experience with these guys. I had to pick up a fire extinguisher to be in compliance with fire code. And they had the fire extinguisher I needed in the wrong spot, so they. Overcharge me by accident. They noticed that themselves and fixed it after I was long gone. Does the best customer service have seen in the long time. And I own 2 businesses myself and I pride myself on customer experience. This is a true 5 star experiment.”

Some things had come in that our contractor had picked up; a few I had picked up the day before. There were about 10 things missing. She looked high and low for them and recruited two others to help. She made sure I had everything on my list, even though it took a while! She was delightful.”

“I've used this place for over 30 years. I rely on their judgment and they've always given me excellent advice. I am in the process of replacing my garbage disposal unit and I wanted advice on what pieces of pipes, fittings I would need. I showed them a picture of my current disposal and a sheet of the new disposal's specs. I was willing to purchase whatever they said I needed even if the total expense was high. Earlier I had been to another hardware store and priced out plumbing parts and the total was close to $100 dollars. I figured I really needed someone who would know what to do in my situation. The person at Plumbing Parts looked at my current hardware and told me I didn't need new pipes, but just needed new fittings. Total cost of supplies? $25!!! Wow. This is definitely the go to place for my plumbing supplies. Another example : A long time ago I needed an unusual fitting. He didn't have what I needed but pointed me to a specific hardware store that did. ( I had previously gone to several places and couldn't find this fitting)”

“If you ever need plumbing supplies for your house, this is your place! Hawaii Trading is a treasure trove of parts that you'll need for repairs to your sinks, drains, pipes, etc. I always used to go to Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. for sink parts, but there's a reason you see those packages on the shelves with the tape on them-a sign that it was most likely a wrong part that someone purchased and returned. So when a friend of mine told me about Hawai'i Trading-which I probably would have never guessed sells plumbing supplies because of their name- I took his advice and visited them. A small parking lot with a few spaces in front, it's a very nondescript place. In fact, if I wasn't sent there, I probably wouldn't even know they sold plumbing parts! Once inside you'll find the very best and friendliest service! I felt at ease because I didn't know what to get, but they got me all my parts by just walking in back and returning with the required items. By heart, no catalogs, etc., just plain 'ol experience on their part! In fact, I was in and out in under fifteen minutes. No guesswork, no hunting around, just a trouble free experience. Oh and when I got home and stared my repair, there was no such thing as going back because of a wrong part, everything fit perfectly! The only thing I forgot, and I emphasize "I", was putty. But job complete and working just like new!!! Thank you Hawai'i Trading, I appreciate the help and awesome service. Would I go back? Heck yeah! Go see them for your plumbing needs! “I have been looking for 3in washers forever and My husband finally found them here! They were fast and efficient and we couldn't ask for better service. We went up to a service window, told the worker what we wanted, and he went to get it. It's been so stressful trying to find these washer everywhere else but this was nice and easy. Thank you!”

“Cool Roof Store is a retailer, not a contractor, so don't blame them for a sealant job gone bad. I bought primer and silicone coating from them to seal my roof. Give them your roof area and they'll help determine the amount of materials you'll need, it's probably quite a bit more than you'd expect. Living in rainy Kaneohe in a house with a mostly flat roof, the roofs in the neighborhood all look terrible with mildew stains, so i had mine professionally cleaned so i could coat and seal it myself, save several thousands on labor. So far the job looks great, and the house is noticeably cooler, but maybe one thing they neglected to mention was that standing water on the silicone coating will take a VERY long time to dry off, even after hours in direct exposure. Folks at Cool Roof Store are helpful and knowledgeable, they'll even deliver if you buy a certain minimum quality, i think at least five 5-gal buckets. I bought total 19 5-gal buckets of primer and top coat so the free delivery was super helpful!!!”

“This location is at the corner of Nimitz Highway and Pacific Street. I find this home improvement center to be convenient and much easier to navigate than the two big box stores nearby. I needed to get a toilet plunger. Went directly to the plumbing section, and there they were. Made my selection and went to the checkout. Pleasant greeting and fast service. Enjoy”

I think she had come outside, maybe helping someone else load she waited on us at the door as soon as my landlord Tina came in she was offering her a cart we knew what we wanted we had only came to get a weed eater as my landlord says a weed wacker and no time at all we had exactly what we wanted and was on our way everyone had happy faces and was so accommodating the atmosphere is priceless When comparing it to The Big Box store we don't ever want to lose this atmosphere support them as often as possible mahalo I am never leaving Paradise my landlord has several properties she is constantly breaking about how awesome Ace is”

“Kinda wild to see one star for quality. Maybe your setup day was a little more moist than might be used to. The climate here does make for difficult resin work especially coming into winter. “8/8/22 Been looking for electrical conduit tape all over the place...this is the fourth place to be exact as we are laying an electrical line and the building inspector said we needed to add this to warn anyone should we need to dig it up, people are aware. Hubster called and they had it!! Located in the Mapunapuna area, this was easy for us to get to. I'm not an electrical expert, but they did have a lot of things that you won't obviously find in a Loewes or Home Depot. Shelves aren't stocked...but that's the reality for ALOT of businesses nowadays due to shipping issues. This place was worth the trip! Customer service was great. Employee spent quite a few minutes answering questions as we did not want to drive there and them not have it, When we walked in they were super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.”

“Thank you Noelle for giving me a great experience at this store. I came in about 2 weeks ago looking for the Mini Pochette Accessoires in the Damier Ebene. There was only one left in Maui and she tried contacting them although it was no longer available at the time she finally reached them. She had let me know that she'd reach out to me in the future if one were to come available again. About 3 days had passed by I'd say and she contacted me again letting me know that there was one again in Maui, and that she reserved it for me! It shipped in a few days later and I went to pick it up. If you ever come to this location, ask for Noelle! She's great. A little unnecessary add lol, My serial code on my item was also the 30th week of 2019, which I thought was so cute because that week is my birthday.”

“I love the Mapunapuna store from the time I walk in Tracey is there and always calls me by name to welcome me and is a ray of sunshine and the sales associates especially Liza is the best too they make me feel like we are all family if I can't find what I need I just ask and I get it. It is definitely my go to store for just about anything. Even when I call the store they answer the phone in one ring I love it. If anyone needs home products in the Mapunapuna area be sure to visit that store lots of parking and great service”

“Needed a die nut quick for a wheel stud thread repair. Don't like my cars being down for long periods. I needed a very hard to find size and checked big name hardware and automotive stores and they all did not have it. Only Aloha tap and die had the size I needed. Very nice and helpful at the store and on the phone. The die nut was more than I would like to pay, but I saved a lot of time by getting this tool and repairing vice replacing a stud. Although it was more, it was totally worth it in the big picture.”

After speaking to him, I received his assurances that he would follow-up personally and expedite the order. “Home Depot has became our Black Friday tradition. It started decades ago when I noticed the poinsettias were so cheap that I could afford to buy one for each relatives gravesite. I remember initially buying less than half a dozen, now we need 17. When the kids were born, I brought them along for Black Friday. Popo (grandma) at one point joined us. It has evolved into a family tradition. Popo has difficulty walking now so we sit her in a non-congested aisle. Then her grandchildren hunts for the best poinsettias and brings them to her. Popo selects 17 of the best ones. Afterwards, the "poinsettia hunters" is treated to breakfast. Popo will nurture these poinsettias until her "retired poinsettia hunters" returns home for their winter break. She looks forward to visiting all the graves with her entire family. We spend one day convoying from one graveyard to another, ending with another great meal as a family. We have no photos of this Black Friday tradition so we made a point of taking one. Later we noticed a Home Depot employee photo bombed us. How apropos. In the background Home Depot employees have made this tradition special for over two decades. Thank you Home Depot employees. Thank you for greeting us and making us feel welcomed. Thank you for being pleasant even when you're busy. Keep up the good job and your HUMOR. Happy Holidays.”

“Ample parking. Lovey employees. Good inventory. I went today (Thursday afternoon) to get custom paint. The legendary Bob O. helped me at the paint desk. He was sweet and very efficient. Bob made sure I knew what mix to ask for if I needed more of the same custom paint. Funny enough, his other half and her friend stopped by, and he was informing them where to find all the things they needed. I swear he knows the whole store! Makes sense given he's been at City Mill for about 10 years. The cashier who rung me up was also super nice. She asked if I needed a shopping bag because I was juggling wiper fluid and a quart of paint. Everything was super affordable! The windshield wiper fluid was only $3.25! I'll definitely come back!”
