“Choosing the Halekulani for our wedding venue was the best decision we made! The planning process was seamless from start to finish, thanks to their excellent communication. Another amazing perk of the Halekulani is that they have a flower shop on-site to do your wedding florals. The team at the Halekulani flower shop is extremely talented and will 100% make your vision come to life!

“I don't usually give a 5 star but this is the one. It is actually a small hotel and not even a luxury one at Waikiki. It is a gem in the hole. Very comfortable, very enjoyable staying there.

We are provided a glass of fresh pine apple juice when checking in at front desk. Their staffs there are very nice even the valet parking person. There are purified water machines at lobby and dinning area. I usually grab some water in my bottle before going out. Pine apple juice and coffee are provided all day and night. Breakfast buffet are good. I love the papaya. They also provide towel, beach chair and even tote bags for customers to enjoy the fun at beach.

One thing to remind. Entrance of garage is low at clearance. We rent a 7 seater mini van and barely clear the roof. Their staffs help to remove the roof rack of our van and reinstall it when we check out for free.

Room is divided into two section each with a bed and a full bathroom. We don't have to fight for bathroom in the morning. We are a big group with 4 families. One friend complains air condition in their room is noice. She doesn't want to try changing the room. I provide her a pair of ear plug and problem settled.”

“Smack dab in the hub of Waikīkī! Great service the rooms are very nice but the furniture is outdated, but a great bathroom and spend the extra for the luau, it was great, although I wasn’t crazy about the dinner. Several restaurants to choose from, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet 3 days… very good”

“Four years ago we stayed here when we came to the island because we heard they were dog friendly. Not many hotels are open to 100 lb. German Shepherds? so we jumped at the opportunity. We stayed for three weeks and by the end of our stay we felt like family! Today we just checked out of a two day staycation and I can say it feels just the same. I can’t say enough about the warm and friendly staff. Always greeting us with a smile, always accommodating and helpful! Each and every staff member! Also love coming back every evening to live music. Love the vibes with the open layout of the restaurant and the pool. Our kids love seeing Jack the resident pup. They are not just dog friendly, they LOVE dogs which I find to be so endearing. Stay here you won’t regret it.”

“Day started off terrible (pre-arrival to the hotel). Got here and the service was amazing. Ambrose greeted us at reception and definitely gave us the best reception we have had in a long time. When we finally got up to the room, it was also quite nice. Spacious and clean with great views.”

“Superb fine dining. The best server and the most beautiful ambience. Watch the view with your family and friends. Roy's always makes the most delicious seafood and hearty turf. Salads were fresh and bright. Poke is the Best. Ono chocolate soufflé that flows into the raspberry river that melds with the ice cream.”

“What was supposed to be a fun trip ended up with a family member collapsing in the bathroom.
As we were shaken up, a manager who could speak Japanese explained how to arrange emergency services, how to deal with them, and medical expenses.

“Once upon a time this area was very island relaxed retail. Many of the jewelry shops and retail shops were owned by Mom & Pop operators. Fast forward to modern times Our elected president had a vision with the help of local business people & the state . Waikiki Beach Walk as well as many stores on the main drag will remind you of Las Vegas & a dash of San Francisco in the tropics.”

“Had a great night's stay here. The open atmosphere and large rooms make it very comfortable. Easy beach access and many nearby restaurants. The 1950s feel adds a ton of charm. We'd gladly spend a week here and will stay here again next time we're in Honolulu.

It's an excellent departure from the usual Honolulu resorts and massive crowds.”

“Our experience here was truly first class. The suite was super clean. The staff exceeded our expectations by far. It is truly one of the best hotels we have stayed. They are on par with Ritz Carlton Hong Kong, Marina Bay Sands Singapore, and Montage Kapalua Bay. We had a wonderful time. I would recommend the higher floors for the better views. There is an infinity pool and spa on the rooftop that can be enjoyed in private at reserved times.”

“The strongest point of this relatively small boutique hotel is that it has a private beach right in front of it. Another big plus is that Kapiolani Park is right in front of the hotel and you can see Diamond Head right in front of you. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and relax while enjoying the beach and Hawaii's natural surroundings.”

“I was impressed by how friendly the staff was and how eager they were to help!

Rooms: I happened to be able to look at other hotel rooms, and I praised myself for making the right choice. Compared to the two-room ocean view room, the room, living room, toilet, and shower room here are much more spacious. I decided to take this into consideration for my father, who uses a wheelchair, but there is still room even in a wheelchair and the circulation is good.

Nearby activities: I was concerned that the swimming pool was small because I have children, but I was glad that I could watch them without having to chase them.

Safety: You can only press the elevator floor if you have a room key.

Walkability: It is so well maintained that my father, who uses a wheelchair, can move around freely.

Food and drinks: I didn't request breakfast because there was a kitchen, but I tried it on the day of check-out, and it was more delicious than I expected and there was a lot of variety, so I regretted not requesting breakfast. Eggs Benedict is delicious! Egg dishes such as omelettes were prepared right away, and there was also rice, miso soup, and natto. If I had known, I would have taken 1 natto a day.. unfortunately... ㅠㅠ
In addition to Inyo Cafe (breakfast restaurant), there is a restaurant to the right of the check-in lobby, which was great for a light snack and beer.

Noteworthy details: The concierge on the G floor lends out water play equipment for free. Parking is valet only. There were tongs and scissors in the kitchen. Oh, maybe because there was a washing machine that doubled as a dryer, there was no drying rack.”

“My family and I visited this hotel during a leg on Oahu. We are Hyatt loyalists and we were surprised we hadn't chosen to stay at this hotel in previous visits. The location is 5 stars. Access to restaurants, stores, beaches, freeways, and malls was seamless. Good coffee, great food, and convenience stores were super accessible from the hotel! A car is virtually not needed unless you want to visit the more distant parts of Oahu. But if you are brining a car, parking was a little challenging at times, with narrow turns inside the parking structure, but this is to be expected in the heart of downtown Waikiki. You can valet here, otherwise, which is super easy. They had betta fish for temporary adoption for all the kid families and the kiddie pool is another plus! The beach rental gear was a really good add as well.

While our stay wasn't perfect at the onset, the team went above and beyond to do what they could to resolve any issues and I was extremely impressed by the level of customer service from every level of the organization here at Hyatt Centric Waikiki. By the end of our stay, I could definitely say we are returning again. Special shot out to all those who helped our family during the stay including Diana, Anastasia, and Erica. You guys all deliver smiles and much mahalo! Blessings-”

“This was such an enjoyable stay. Staff was so pleasant and kind and very helpful. Our room was very roomy and had everything we could expect for our very comfortable stay. We were in the middle of the action within a 1 block walk and on Waikiki beach within a 2-3 block walk. Highly recommended for a stay in Waikiki if you are on a budget and want to have all the luxuries one would have at at a big name hotel on the beach. I think Coconut Waikiki should be a big name hotel!”

“Located not far from the CBD, there are bus stops right out the front which will take you into town or out to pearl harbour, the airport is approximately 15-20 minutes drive by taxi.The terminal itself is fairly easy to navigate. There can be long queues for taxis when cruise ship passengers disembark.”

“Overall experience is great. Except for the late checkout. They said on the website that kamaaina can get a complimentary late checkout at 1pm. I went down at the front desk and they only gave us 12 pm late checkout. I told them that on the website says 1pm but the lady just said no. Without even bothering to look at our reservation. Anyway it was a great small hotel.”

“We loved our stay at the Ramada. The pool was very clean, and the hotel staff were hardworking and always available to help. Most of the guests were families, which made for a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. We especially enjoyed our walks to the beach. For meals, we often visited the island’s country markets, which offered a wide variety of fresh food and unique gift options. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly return.”

“Great hotel in a convenient location downtown next to the newly opened C U (Korean convenience store), a bunch of restaurants, and the Iolani Palace. The front desk and valet staff were fantastic. Especially Kainalu Aitaro who went above and beyond anytime he worked with me. Very positive attitude and able to multi-task fantastically. Actually made me wish he was working every day of my stay so he would be the one to assist me when needed. Will definitely be returning in the future!”

“Great experience taking a surfing lesson with Mike today. Mike was kind, patient, and thorough. We practiced on land and then we paddled out into the waves (which were very mellow). It was a fun first surfing experience and it felt very safe to me, but still like an adventure. I recommend it. Thank you, Mike!”

“Stayed for 6 nights in November.
The location is amazing with everything you need less than a 15 minute walk, and stores in the first floor for quick needs. Nice pool area. Two nice restaurants on site. 6 elevators that work very well. Views of the dock with the marina and sunset is magical. Friendly staff. Room was spacious and bed felt amazing. Spacious balcony. Air conditioning works really good. Bathroom well equipped.
If it wasn't for the colony of small roaches living in the kitchen, I would give this a 5 star. Since we didnt intend to cook, this wasn't a dealbreaker for us. Amazing value for what you get. Would stay again.”

“The location is amazing, I'm 5 minutes from the ocean. Fantastic service across the board, I have stayed in very few places that were so clean, and well-cared for. Valet parking is worth the extra money, the parking garage is not for the faint of heart, but after our attempt, everyone was helpful to upgrade us to let the professionals handle it.”

“Rooms: The room we had has a fantastic view. The view is the one reason we choose this PH. For sure it could use a large amount of updating. Appliances are fairly new but bathrooms need improvements. Locks on doors to the lanai needs lock replaced and on the side doors need locks repaired.Food & drinks: Food was bit on the expensive side.Noteworthy details: It was very interesting to learn that this was the first high rise 1964. And Hawaii Five0 with Jack Lord was filmed here.”

“The room was a bit dated but the location and the service was beyond five stars. I would give it a ten if I could. The hotel comes with free beach chairs rental and towels. All attached restaurants were really yummy. The beach was only steps away and it was the most perfect beach for little kids. Travis at the Front Desk was a superstar. Mahalo, Park Shore. I will return.”

“This was a great stay. Jonalyn was very helpful with check in, explaining amenities, as well as giving helpful insight to activities and sites to see near by. I will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I come to Waikiki.”
