“Bought my very first piece (TISAS 1911) from them. Picked it up on December 22nd. I’ve been to other shops in the past and while they were all pretty friendly and knowledgeable for the most part, something about these guys completely resonated with me. Being this is my first time, they worked with me and listened to my needs and concerns, making my first experience effortless. I can see why they have so many 5 star reviews! No hype. They are everything everyone says they are!”

“I cannot recommend the quality surf/ big skate guys enough. Over the past week I have been trying to troubleshoot what is wrong with my longboard, I had suspected it was the disintegrated pivot cups. My uncle suggested hitting up big skate shop in town in the wailana building. Off I went and I've been incredibly happy with the results. Joey and Tim helped me on separate days and were so patient with me. Joey spent over 40 minutes explaining the type of trucks my board needed, helped me look up the parts and tried to replace the pivot cups. I ended up ordering a different set, getting the hardware and multi tool from Big Skate. If you need skate gear and knowledgeable good dudes, this is the place to stop by. I will 100% be back in the future!”

“Hawaiian hardball is great. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We’ve been coming here for two years to get gloves for our son. They do steaming for gloves. Depending on brand it’s between free and $10.Only downfall is the parking but we’ve never had an issue parking though.Again, good stock, great staff and they even have batting cages and offer workshops and such.”

“I wanted to donate a public speaking trophy to Kailua High School. They had the exactly what was needed. I was very happy with the price which included the engraving the title of the trophy. Took me 5 minutes to make the purchase. I went back 4 months later to have them add the names of the first semester winners. Imagine my delight when they promised next day service at no charge!”

“Been going to this shop for years bc their products truly stand the test of time and wear. Bands don't loosen and colours don't fade compared to any swimsuit I've bought elsewhere. Yes, it's a little more dear but you can also choose top and bottom of different size, colour and style. Money saved actually! They also have innovative designs of swimsuit, so not just bikinis. Cherie has been v helpful. Don't miss this independent shop on your next visit to Honolulu.”

“Walked in to buy a complete set of golf clubs, gentlemen immediately asked me a few questions, then gave me simple options. Purchased a set of Taylor Made Irons, Taylor Made Driver, new golf bag, all for $500, and they took off 35 dollars as a disount. In addition, they gave my seven year old son a set of new golf balls, and a childen's size 7 iron. What a service!”

“The service was awesome!! Angel helped me to find the perfect size and type of shoe I needed. He fitted me for the size and told me about my arches. He was very knowledgeable about the shoes and explained to me thoroughly. Got to try on different brands to see what was right for me. It was great actually having someone assist and help you. Not like the other shoe stores they just get the size you ask for and usually don't assist you any further than that. So worth the money!! To actually get the right shoe and more importantly the correct fit. Thank you Angel for all your help!!!”

“Great store! With very friendly staff! We just popped our heads in randomly after climbing Koko Heads and got talking to Frankie who was one of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. He told us all about the history. We end up buying a Yeti water bottle and would definitely recommend the store to other tourists visiting.”

“Among the many casual American store clerks with a Hawaiian feel, a tall, fashionable Japanese male clerk was very kind and courteous, so even those of us who are not good at English felt at ease shopping. It's done. They will ask you questions about whether the product can only be purchased in the United States, tell you about materials and washing methods, and best of all, they will suggest coordination that suits your body type and atmosphere.Even though it is a casual shop, it feels like a luxury maison. I was very grateful for the customer service.I think it's worth a visit even if you're not a North Face fan.”

“I've been there twice in 10 months. Once in February before they had to close because of Covid and again in November after they reopened. Both times I accompanied friends who were shopping for gifts as well as themselves. The selection of aloha shirts is impressive and the fabric is of nice quality and top notch. If I recall correctly from talking with the owner, the fabric comes from Japan. The shirts are well sewn and I loved the selection of designs. The designs are well thought out and some of them tell a story about Hawaii. The owner is personable and helpful without being overbearing. If you are looking for a stylish aloha shirt this is definitely the place to shop.”

“I was little skeptical about the Phiten tapes and products. I gave it a try anyway as my neck really hurt one day. Amazing! The tapes tremendously reduced the pain level. It was like pain scale 9 went down to scale 3. All store staff were very friendly and generously put the tapes on my body .”

“If you ever bought shoes at the Running Room, you will never go any place else. The staff is incredibly knowledgable about running shoes. They have all run marathons. The owner/manager understands how people move their feet and what the movement means for shoes. I bought my first pair of shoes from him two years ago. I learned I was wearing the wrong size and wrong kind of shoe. I loved those shoes so much that I returned to buy another pair today. They take a lot of time with each customer and learn what the person needs. They also educated the customer. The prices are reasonable for the level of service. I also picked up some workout clothes that were on sale. They carry a lot of running gear. They have a small parking lot next to the building. They are a local small business. You just can't get this kind of service anyplace else.”

“Staff was so friendly, after knowing my size, whenever they saw me holding a shoe they would immediately go grab a pair for me if there’s my size. The selection of shoes and sizes were great at least when compared to Seattle! I wanted a pair of New Balanced 9060 (which are unisex shoes) and they actually had women size with different colors! That’s something unimaginable in Seattle after I tried asking in many stores, even the New Balance store themselves.”

“This shop is collocated within the Soccer Locker, right off Kapahulu across the Safeway. Easy to find and plenty parking, just look for Runner's Room. One of the number decals on my son's school basketball uniform came off so I called up this place and they told me to bring it down. I was there at 10:30am and the gentleman said it would be ready after 2pm. Sure enough, done nicely (way better than my attempt with fabric glue lol) and very inexpensive. Great place and friendly service, will be back anytime a uniform issue comes up.”

“First time visiting today & I was impressed. It's a small store, but it stocks so much inside. Yes it's a little cramped, but everything is very well organized & it's easy to find whatever you're looking for. HUGE selection of firearms. I've been to much larger stores, even department stores on the mainland, that didn't have half of the selection they have here. In the 20 minutes we spent here, there was a steady stream of customers in & out. I didn't realize this place was that busy! We purchased some Mace, the gel kind with UV dye for $25 a canister. Martha went over every aspect of using pepper spray. She was highly informative & personable. Like the caring auntie who won't steer you wrong & is honest with you. We loved her! There was also a young gentleman working & he greeted everyone who came in, even holding the door for us as we left. We felt welcomed & not intimidated at all. Good place!”

“got there 5-10 minutes before they locked the doors for the day. even though i already knew what i needed, the shop keeper was very kind and let me try on and answered questions about different gi's and rashguards. they never rushed me, and engaged in convo to make me feel like i wasn't annoying for showing up right at closing time. very knowledgeable. nice to ask someone who trains, about the gear they sell, instead of unknown person(s) and their reviews online. they had a lot of nice stuff. will recommend. copped a super sick moya long-sleeve rashguard.”

“The staff are friendly. I hope the location is a little closer to Waikiki. Perhaps because of the spring break, sizes for Japanese people are out of stock. Please refill quickly.”

“I haven't been to this store in about 30 years. I stopped by as I needed a sturdy backpack. The sales clerk allowed me to choose one and walk behind the counter, something not many stores allow. The sales associate was sweet and friendly. The cashier was very nice and helpful. I'm sorry for not visiting sooner. I LOVE my new beach backpack! Mahalo for the exemplary customer service!!”

“I was looking for shirts for my nephew for his birthday; Lia was very helpful. She gave me suggestions on what high school aged boys might like. They didn't have his size in one of the two shirts I wanted; she checked online and found that their Kapolei store had it. She requested that they transfer that shirt to the Kahala store and put the other shirt on hold for me. (She said it would take at least three days.) She called this week to say they had both shirts, and I asked if they could hold it for me until Friday. I said I would try to get there before then. (I went today to pick them up.) In addition, I saw the "Eddie Went" t-shirts which I decided to get too. Again, they had one in the size I needed, and Lia called their Ala Moana store. They put it on hold for me, and I picked it up today. That's service with aloha!”

“It’s a cool and nice hat shop. A shop staff is attentive and friendly. We wanted to go there since he ordered his caps from Toronto. There are not only cool caps but also Tees. We cannot wait for visiting there again.A popular cap shop in Hawaii. Although the store is small, caps and T-shirts are neatly lined up inside, so you're sure to find something you like. The staff was kind and the shopping was fun.”

“This place is AWESOME! "Everything" you need to get yourself in shape! Everyone of their sales staff is helpful, knowledgeable & professional! First day we went there to look for a treadmill we were sold Awesome product, Awesome sales staff (Rose) exactly what we needed... look no more! We purchased the TM the next day then picked it the following day. Our intent was to have them deliver & set up the TM but Rick & Rich told us we could do it on our own & it wasn't too heavy. (They're both heavyweight buff Braddahz) After calling up a friend to bring his son to come help us carry it up the stairs & set it up... we did it! Oh yeah when I went to pick it up at their warehouse which right at the end of the road. Abel was there all by himself loading the TM into my truck & also tie it down for me! He's definitely an asset to this company! (You guyz should hire someone to help Braddah) lol From product knowledge to customer service storefront to warehouse this is the place!!! 10 star's”
