“Stopped by Sweet Enemy for some vintage clothing today. The store rocks. Super customer service and friendly staff. Staff was 100% spot on on all the vintage and urban trends for clothing. This place is my favorite vintage shirt shop on the island.”

“I do tend to wear clothes when I revisit the shop...It goes to say how much I do love it and yes I do! He is greater than I has always such fun and cool designs that I adore and today was no different since it's been awhile and I usually go to the shop up North though today since I was in the area thought to give them a visit.Located in the Nimitz Center it's easy to find them as you're zipping along Nimitz here they have shirts for women, men's and kids along with fun accessories and stickers. Today this cute pinkish shirt with flowers scattered on the logo have it a nice spring vibe and knew this was the one. The vibe here is much more mellow than the one up north but they still have it all and we are so blessed to have such wonderful brand to express our love along with the island life we live in.Thank you!”

“This is the cutest little shop in Waialae with all the local goodies- perfect for holiday shopping! The pieces here are very unique and has products/ art from a ton of different local artists and artisans. Everything here is really local-fyed and trendy. I love taking mainland visitors here so they can have a unique Hawaii keepsake or so they can go shopping for friends and family back home. The past few times I came here, I got a gift for my mom and for someone who I was going to their house for the first time. Both of those times I bought Aloha Aina aromatherapy candles and soaps. When I've come here browsing for myself, I've gotten zodiac themed jewelry, a cute cellphone charm, and a hair clip. The space might be small but the selection is vast and curated- you never know what goodies you'll find!”

There is a section for the little ones gosh super cute items I wished I had as I loved food play toys...lol it's no surprise I Yelp knowing this.Parking is the real struggle, if you're lucky to have found street parking nearby grab it as there's so much to see here though there is paid parking just steps behind it is pricy at $6 and hour. They're open Monday to Saturday from 11am-4pm I've stopped by several times only to be disappointed to see they were closed so you can conveniently browse online valiahonolulu.com and window shop also follow them on Instagram @valiahonolulu as they constantly posts updates and keep you on the know. “I walked in and was greeted by the friendly cashier. She told me that all the shirts are designed and printed locally. She asked if I was a tourist or if I lived here. She also asked what area I lived in and told me that they have a location at Ala Moana. I looked around the store and noticed some really cool items. They have shirts with turtles and sharks on them. They also have shirts from local eateries such as Tiki's Grill & Bar and Waikiki Brewing Company.”

“What a cool place for cool places...The North Face store is located in Ala Moana Center near Nordstrom is a fantastic place to find gears and outerwear for all things outdoors. All displayed very nicely I still had some issues wondering if which are for men and which are for women as it doesn't seem to be clearly divided.Once I look at the label it's clearly stated men or women and prices are a bit difficult to see as the fonts are tiny so shopping and browsing to a bit more effort for a novice like myself who was looking for some jackets that are warm but not for arctic weather.Yes I can ask any staff where there are many that are super friendly it wasn't the level I was at as I'm just browsing it's just not easy to see as there are my factors of each item and wished they made it easier for you to know what level of warmth, rugged, and for which gender as getting lost is not something we like to face anywhere we go.Thank you!”

“Fantastic customer service from all staff members. The store was very organized, cleaned, and smelled good.We were asked multiple times if we would like a beverage. The main staff member that helped us was Conny. She was very professional, kind, and thorough. She did not get annoyed with us having to try multiple shoe styles and sizes. Unfortunately, the style my husband wanted was not in stock but she offered to look at other locations to have it shipped to our home. Conny also provided her contact information and informed us to contact her before we come next time to check product stock. She also let me look at a ton of handbags. I ended up just getting a card holder and she was not annoyed that I did not purchase a handbag this visit. When leaving, all of the staff members said goodbye.”

“One of my favorite places to shop at Ala Moana, this two-story store is on the Nordstrom side of the center (for your parking and navigating purposes). When I visited, the bottom floor featured their T-shirt design collaborations with local artists and brands for adults and keiki. The second floor has the complete collections of men and women’s apparel, along with the T-shirt designs of local brands.I love their high-tech self-checkout, where you just place your purchases in a bin, which automatically scans the items and lists them on the screen. Super easy - and you don’t the app to use it btw.For Lunar New Year, they had a promo of a packet of 5 red envelopes with the purchase of $50 or more!”

“Ladies and gentlemen, let's take a journey through time and delve into the history of the land on which the Diesel Store Waikiki proudly stands. We're talking ancient Hawaii, my friends, a place of legends and warrior spirits! Before the Diesel Store, this land was part of the legendary Waikiki, a name that means "spouting waters" in the native Hawaiian tongue. It was a paradise of epic proportions, beloved by the Hawaiian ali'i, the mighty chiefs who recognized its beauty and strategic importance.Picture this: pristine beaches, fertile lands for agriculture, and bountiful marine resources. Waikiki was a hub of Hawaiian culture, where the ali'i would gather for relaxation, cultural ceremonies, and to partake in thrilling recreational activities. It was the place to be, my friends! Now, let's fast forward to the arrival of foreign explorers in the late 18th century. These outsiders brought their customs and influences, forever changing the course of Waikiki's history. Tourism boomed, hotels and resorts sprouted like palm trees, and Waikiki transformed into a global hotspot. And now, my friends, we find ourselves in the present day. Waikiki, once a cultural haven, has evolved into a vibrant neighborhood teeming with hotels, restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. In the heart of this paradise, we have the Diesel Store Waikiki, a modern fashion oasis that pays homage to the spirit of Waikiki's past. While the specific history of this land might not be widely known, we must honor the ancient legacy that permeates every inch of Waikiki. The Diesel Store stands tall, embodying the fusion of contemporary fashion and the enduring spirit of this coastal wonderland. It's a reminder of the rich cultural heritage that has shaped this place into the paradise it is today. So, my friends, as you step into the Diesel Store Waikiki, take a moment to appreciate not only the fashion before you but also the legacy of this land and the epic history of Waikiki that surrounds it. It's a celebration of the past, present, and future—a testament to the indomitable spirit that defines this incredible place.”

“Great addition to local businesses on Oahu. Though this is more of a pop-up shop (open only on Fridays), their selection was perfect: very well curated. The feel of their aloha shirts is also unique amongst local designers: a very sturdy yet well fitting feel. Customer service was excellent! The location of this shop is also ideal as it is within a 1 min walk from municipal parking - which is rare to find in Downtown Honolulu. Support local!”

“The best! We attended a traditional Hawaiian clothing seminar on a cruise given by a local, so we knew what we wanted. The store manager was incredibly helpful, and the quality and variety were amazing. This is a store where locals shop. It is a family business and not a tourist trap. We feel fortunate we found it.”

“I stopped by when I was on a trip. I used to buy them a lot in Japan, but now that they've withdrawn from the store I can't buy them anymore, so I visit them whenever I'm nearby. If they don't have your size, they will order it for you right away, and they will serve you in a friendly manner, making it easy to shop. My son gave me a sticker with the logo on it, and while he was having fun putting it on himself and playing with it, he even called out to me.”

“First honeymoon trip to Hawaii. As I was walking around Chinatown, a stylish shop suddenly appeared. Aloha shirts and miscellaneous goods with original designs were displayed along with the wonderful interior, creating a great atmosphere. I had been wanting an aloha shirt for a while, so I bought two on the spot. If I had more time, I would have liked to see it more slowly without having to worry about the trolley time. I would like to stop by again when I travel.”

“Excellent and attentive service. Food was very good. Pleasant surroundings and beautiful view. It's one of my favorite lunch spots. We had a nice time celebrating a birthday. The service was wonderful, so we had no concerns at all . . . all of our needs were anticipated. How great is that?!!”

“We stayed here over 15 years ago and had very fond memories from that stay. So for our extended Hawaiian winter vacation we thought we'd stay here again. The first room offered to us, we were not happy about, so we asked for another. They graciously accommodated our request with an upgraded room. We had to wait a little to get in, but that gave us an opportunity to have our first Mai Tai of our vacation. The new room was exactly what we wanted. Very comfortable with a wonderful ocean view. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom very spacious. My only critique would be that the shower is a bit small. But not a big problem. Housekeeping was impeccable. All in all, a terrific stay.”

“One of the best things about Allison Izu designs for me is that I don’t have to take the pants in for alteration. I also like the solid colors that make mixing and matching easier. In the beginning (see early photo), I stuck to one color (same color top and pants), but watching Allison’s videos, I now experiment with mixing colors with the tops, coverups and pants. I like having the showroom available to try on the new styles since some styles run larger than others, so I don’t take the same size for the different styles of tops and coverups.”

“This is the cutest little boutique! I wish there was one where I live! The girls working are so sweet, the clothing is quality material, adorable accessories, and a pretty full sale rack to catch some cute steals. I look forward to stopping by this store whenever I'm in Waikiki. Pricing is fair for the area.”

“Excellent customer service with kindness! Thank you Cassandra and Sascha for the knowledge you shared on your quality items. Interesting! Much appreciated!! Also, I can't forget to mention Jessica at the Ala Moana Shopping Mall (Tori Richard) she located a shirt for me in Maui and had it shipped. Again, excellent customer service. Thank you Jessica!”

“Me daughter and I visited this store two weeks ago. The selection was amazing and the store was super clean and so well organized, but more importantly and most impressively was the staff. They were so friendly and super fun to talk to. I left there feeling like part of the Crazy Shirt family. If we had a Crazy Shirts in North Idaho, I’d probably submit an application to work there. We visit almost every Crazy Shirts that we come across, and this store was the best we’ve been to. They have such a great selection, and sell things that you can’t find in other stores, or even online. This store will definitely be our go to place for our Crazy Shirts purchases. Plus, it will be fun to see the staff again.”

“Let me say this. As a native Hawaiian supporting local artists we sometimes do not receive the warmest welcome when entering an establishment. Magnolia is the total opposite of that. From the moment my daughter and I stepped in we felt completely welcomed and at home. The owner, Maggie is an absolute gem. We purchased a tahitian pearl bracelet by a local artist for my sister's birthday and she absolutely LOVED it! My daughter purchased a necklace for herself as well. The experience was so memorable that we returned a week later. I purchased my 2nd diffuser (OMG the aroma is to die for) and some prints from a local artist that will look fabulous in my living room. We will continue to return to support our local artist community and for the sheer joy it brings us to visit. TRUST me, before you visit the "other" similar popular stores. Magnolia should be your first stop. You will thank me for it!”

“I knew Anne many years ago when her and her sister joined the Karate Association of Hawaii dojo where I trained and taught for many years in Pucks Alley. I take notice from a posting by Al A. on the C/S she and her friends received when they visited and purchased a very expensive item and the treatment received. Understanding the business, Anne may have blown potential customers on this particular day but that is the way Ms Anne is. She loves her friends of which she has many and if you feel left out it's because of this attitude she has towards friendship. That being said, my question is on her ability to feel the inside feeling of her position in life. She married one haole from Oregon with a famous name but not a very famous person in real life, ex-navy man who retired from the navy, spent many years working in New York City (capital of alot of bullsh*t). She started her business in her mom's home and grew from there into a world renowned business for which she deserves. Having her first shop on East Manoa Road and then moving to her present location is such a funny thing. I grew up not two blocks from her store, Auahi and Koula Streets, back in the early 50's. The old Honolulu Lumber yard was our backyard playground, Kewalo Basin was our swimming pool and Ala Moana was our campgeound. So many memories of that place and the destruction of the surrounding areas today is unbelievable. Anne and I dated for several years until something happened that basically destroyed our presence of togetherness. When family members interfere only one thing can happen, separation, pain and hurt. Do I remember everything, you bet. Life has gone on but memories still exist along with other supporting factors. Ms Anne is a very good person and I wish her nothing but good and I pass on my condolences for the passing of her parents whom I respected but did not really enjoy being around. It's like one never forgets that very first kill in combat, of which I have many while serving in Vietnam for two tours. I remember the letter I wrote to her back in 73 about my divorce (the cause) and my kids, this threw her sister Nodie into a mean tantrum fit but we survived the issues for a little while. When one takes the life of another whether in combat or whatever, that life will follow you forever-so I have many in my head and regret my actions but I do not hate that I did what I had to to survive. I wanted to send her a letter or email but when I discovered her husband is controlling her emails I decided to post. For the public and AL A, trust Anne to do you right and don't let the little things in life get to you because you are not the only one alive in this crazy world we live in now. Much Aloha and always remember life is to short to get angry.”
