40 Paa St, WailukuWe recently turned to MLVH after years of working with Central Maui Animal Clinic for a second opinion on our cat’s diagnosis.
Our cat had pre-existing health complications, and the team at MLVH approached his case with both sensitivity and professionalism. The staff were incredibly courteous, and the doctor was knowledgeable, patient, and thorough—giving us all the information we needed to make informed and thoughtful decisions about his care.
The vet (Dr. Weeks) was also proactive in communicating lab results and discussing treatment options with us, which helped us feel involved and supported every step of the way. We wanted to pursue diagnostic options without being overly intrusive, and the team respected that balance. Every procedure and cost was explained clearly, and we never felt pressured or caught off guard—there were no surprises, only transparency and empathy.
Although the outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for, we’re deeply grateful for how our cat was treated—with dignity, kindness, and genuine care. We plan to bring our future pets here, knowing they will be in compassionate and capable hands.

631 Meakanu Ln, WailukuLaura’s Doggie Care is amazing. It has helped my chihuahua so much. When he first started, he was having a problem with fear-based behaviors, but the progress he has made is incredible. At daycare he learned to view his crate as a safe space to decompress and this has been so important at my job ( he spends a lot of time at my workplace) and during the tsunami warning last month. He has made so many dog friends, learned how to meet and play with other dogs, and he can’t contain his excitement on the mornings that he knows are daycare days. He’s also learning to listen to commands better. I am convinced if he could talk, I think he’d tell me he wants to live at Aunty Laura’s full-time ?. Thank you Laura for all you do! I would recommend Laura’s Doggy Care to everyone!

The chicken was amazing, super crispy and tasty, loved the lilikoi dijon sauce but even without it the chicken was juicy and delish. Look forward to going back to try more dishes We brought the little papaya home and it was - according to mom, who is a discerning papaya-eater - wonderful. It was cool and shady at the outdoor picnic tables, and fun to see four big macaws getting out of one small sedan
