40 Paa St, WailukuWe recently turned to MLVH after years of working with Central Maui Animal Clinic for a second opinion on our cat’s diagnosis.
Our cat had pre-existing health complications, and the team at MLVH approached his case with both sensitivity and professionalism. The staff were incredibly courteous, and the doctor was knowledgeable, patient, and thorough—giving us all the information we needed to make informed and thoughtful decisions about his care.
The vet (Dr. Weeks) was also proactive in communicating lab results and discussing treatment options with us, which helped us feel involved and supported every step of the way. We wanted to pursue diagnostic options without being overly intrusive, and the team respected that balance. Every procedure and cost was explained clearly, and we never felt pressured or caught off guard—there were no surprises, only transparency and empathy.
Although the outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for, we’re deeply grateful for how our cat was treated—with dignity, kindness, and genuine care. We plan to bring our future pets here, knowing they will be in compassionate and capable hands.

631 Meakanu Ln, WailukuLaura’s Doggie Care is amazing. It has helped my chihuahua so much. When he first started, he was having a problem with fear-based behaviors, but the progress he has made is incredible. At daycare he learned to view his crate as a safe space to decompress and this has been so important at my job ( he spends a lot of time at my workplace) and during the tsunami warning last month. He has made so many dog friends, learned how to meet and play with other dogs, and he can’t contain his excitement on the mornings that he knows are daycare days. He’s also learning to listen to commands better. I am convinced if he could talk, I think he’d tell me he wants to live at Aunty Laura’s full-time ?. Thank you Laura for all you do! I would recommend Laura’s Doggy Care to everyone!

The pizza, salad, local beverages served, and service were all impeccable. We ended up ordering two whole pies to go for another time. Definitely a must.

I had the most delicious burger and my husband had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. This is one of the best tasting burgers I’ve ever had; moist with fabulous flavour. While it's a bit of a turn off for me when there are no prices displayed for any of the items, I'll still support you at least one time. There was the spam only musubi and one with egg which is what left with me. Initial visual is that it's juicy because of all the space and rolled in furukaki which are both things that I love! Nice hot when it left in my hand and out the door we went. The taste is good as the sauce wasn't too salty and the rice was just right; not to hard or soft. The rice was still able to hold together and the additional furukaki was generous. Nice shop to try! Street parking was easy for us this time

Extremely fresh, made from scratch, and made from the heart. The price point was excellent, as you can tell it wasn’t priced to gouge the tourists like most places on Maui. It was probably the best Mexican food we have had in our lives. I asked for hot sauce, and she said they were out, which is no problem considering how great the flavors were. Halfway through my meal, she brought out fresh made spicy salsa verde for us to finish our meal with. As I heard the blender going in the back a couple minutes ago, and as a restaurant chef, I recognized this sound was the hot sauce she just brought us. Incredible service, outstanding food, daughter and mother crushing it togetehr. 5 stars. I plan to eat there again tomorrow before our flight.

My husband and I are big foodies and we wanted to feed our guests a menu that truly represents who we are and what we love. We are from Sydney Australia so we have a huge dining scene here so we naturally high expectations for food. Brian, you are a very talented chef. Maui is lucky to have you! She also had a freshly cut open coconut so the water was super fresh tasting. I put 5 stars for the atmosphere but be warned there are some mosquitos. Other than that the place was amazing. I often say roadside food truck food local food is way better than restaurants and chain restaurants and this place is no exception. It is amazing!

I don’t normally post but this deserves more business because it would be a shame that Jim and his team don’t get more customers exposed to this amazing food. $18 for a combo meal of some of the best food we had since arriving. Asian, Hawaiian, fusion. The pork had been slow cooked so well it just melted in the mouth. The tempura shrimp was perfect. He (Jim) brings it out on a little trolly all the while you are looking out over the golf course to the beach.
