Boise Bicycle Project is a community-focused nonprofit in Boise that sells refurbished bicycles, recycled parts, and bike accessories. It is a cool organization that builds a stronger bicycling community through education, access, and advocacy. The staff is incredible, friendly, helpful, and down to earth, always treating people with respect and dignity. They are truly building a community of friendly bike folks.
The shop empowers people with knowledge through maintenance clinics and special events, helping them gain confidence. It offers a sliding pay scale, which is heaven sent for those on a tight budget, and often waives repair and equipment fees for those in need. Customers find great deals on good used parts and incredible, trail-ready refurbished bikes. People leave feeling empowered and more confident, having learned so much. Whether someone needs a bike, wants to learn to fix one, or just enjoys spending time with people who love bicycling, Boise Bicycle Project is an absolutely recommended place to visit.
Love it. Everyone is helpful and informed and I love their advocacy and being a member!

My daughter completed the Teen Earn-a-Bike program and learned so much about bicycle repair and maintenance. She was able to refurbish a kids bike for someone in the community and in the process, earned a bike to keep! Such a cool opportunity with such awesome people.
