“John and his team are absolutely amazing! Love picking their brains on flies and the local waters. Excellent customer service and always friendly staff!
Ask about their fly tying classes for kids and adults!”
“I wanted an bike with no knowledge of them. They let me try three different ones and gave me detailed instructions on how to use it. I left with one in the back of the car! Couldn't be more helpful!”
“Tristen was a fantastic representative of your company today. He helped me pick out a new putter grip and installed new grips on my other clubs. As always I appreciate your service!
Thank you Russ”
“Best prices and specific selection for camping and over landing. Wish it had more socks in my size, large but it's near high season for limited selection. Had a 20 degree bag for $70 and thick coolers for under $200. Impressive thought to detail.”
“Great service and atitude for an unbeatable price. My daughter and I rented a ski and snowboard packages on the way to Bogus Basin. The staff (Sophie at the front desk and Chris at the rental room) were extremely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. If you don't mind transporting (and walking with) your gear at Bogus Basin, rent from here instead -- it's cheaper and you will get more attention with a dollop of kind humor.”
“Best place in Boise for all of your athletic shoe, clothes, nutrition (and everything else-related) needs! Great staff, great selection. We don't buy our shoes anywhere else.”
“Excellent, local hardware stores that probably has everything you're looking for from tools, lawn & garden, pets and livestock, outdoor living, and apparel.
Super friendly and helpful staff are welcoming and always eager to assist.
Not necessarily the lowest prices but it just feels better buying here than big box stores so I do whenever I can!”
“I went to buy an overgrip and they actually found more problems with the racket I had, and overall extremely helpful! I would definitely recommend coming her for helpful tennis supply guidance over any other store.”
“As a fan of biking and recycling things instead of just tossing them in the bin, this place is fantastic!! Recently went down there for no reason in particular and found carbon bars for the low low. The economy is wayyy to bad to buy anything new so go here, the vibes are way better anyways. Shout out to the crew over there!”
“I arrived around 3:00 and left around 3:30 on Saturday 12/21. I wanted to give a huge thank you to the super friendly gentleman with the blue baseball cap, white sweater, and blue pants. He was incredibly helpful and helped me pick out a nice beanie for my mother for Christmas. Sorry I didn’t get his name! He was awesome!”
“I bought a bike from Al’s recently at a great price and they did all the custom adjustments for my new bike for free!I took my bike in months later with gear clicking issues and a ruined seat from a crash and Domo also took care of my bike then as well!Highly recommend Al's sporting goods for any of your outdoor Idahoian gear needs! All around great place!”

“Exceptional quality and service! We asked Buck's Bags for a banner to hang at our gala event thanking the VIP donors to the USS Idaho Commissioning Committee. Steve and the staff came through with a stunningly beautiful banner of the USS Idaho ship's crest. We proudly hung it at our gala event in Groton, CT. It was BEAUTIFUL! Thank you, Buck's Bags!”
“I ended up at Waterski Pro Shop based on a recommendation from a trusted friend who's bought multiple boats from these guys, and wow… he was absolutely right. These guys are the real deal.
We purchased a new MB B52 Alpha 23’, and working with Justin and Jake has been nothing short of exceptional from start to finish. They know their products inside and out, but what really stood out to me was the level of service after the sale. As a new boat owner, there’s a lot to learn, and they’ve gone above and beyond helping me understand the boat, dialing things in, and spending time on the water making sure I know how everything works and operates properly.
You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and want people to enjoy the experience — not just make a sale and move on.
Honestly, I can’t think of another buying and service experience that’s been this positive. Highly recommend Waterski Pro Shop, Justin, and Jake if you’re in the market for a boat.”
“I’m so grateful that there is a company that still values their customers. I sent my first Chris Reeve knife in for the spa treatment and for some upgrades. Penny is amazing, she answered all my questions and even went as far as helping me pick out the right lanyard. She was patient kind and very caring. I will forever be a Chris Reeve knife fan for life. I currently own 8. Thank you so much Penny for making me feel like I was an old friend.”

“Was recommended to this place by another business because I wanted to make a shirt for father's day but not many businesses in Boise sell products in just singular rather than bulk. Good, cheap price to make the shirt and they got it to me within a day. I had trouble finding their business hours but when they emailed me the product was ready for pickup they informed me I could pick my order up 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. I wish I'd had cash on me to express my gratitudes but it was 5 star service so 5 stars is what I'll give them. Thank you Rule Studios.”
“Cole was exceptional. His knowledge of ski boots and proper sizing is incredible, and he took the time to thoroughly educate me rather than rush the process. He truly went above and beyond to make sure everything fir perfectly. I was also impressed watching how professional, patient, and attentive he was with the customer before me. You can tell he genuinely cares and takes pride in his work. I would highly recommend Cole to anyone looking for ski or snowboard boots, whether you’re new or experienced and want the right fit. An excellent experience all around.”
“Lacrosse ID does a great job helping guide new and experienced players. We thank them for always growing the sport of lacrosse! Definitely the place to go for all your lacrosse needs!”
“Bought a kick ass record player, (pioneer plx1000) ,and bought a kick ass Kentucky mandolin here. The Mando needed strings and a cleanin'. The turntable was pretty dang good to go.
It was a fair price for both, but the quality of the items was great.
Update: thanks for the behringer pro dj mixer, Tim. I caught you fresh off of lunch and you hopped right to.
It works great by the way.”
“Big 5 is a giant sporting goods store with everything sports related that you can imagine under one roof.
If you need clothing, sneakers, golf clubs, hiking equipment, kayaks, fishing stuff, baseball gloves, footballs, a basketball hoop, camping gear, bicycles, and RIFLES + ammunition, well this is the place to get it.
The selection is enormous and you can spend all day and your entire savings here in one go. ;-)”
“Famous Footwear at Towne Square in Boise offers a wide variety of brand-name shoes for the whole family at affordable prices. Customers appreciate the convenient location, well-organized store, and helpful staff who make finding the right style and fit an easy and pleasant experience.”
“Nice to have this right on town! I visit each time I am downtown Boise. There's a quick single parking spot out front of you know what you want. I used the parking garage that's part of the same structure. First hour of parking is free.”

“This is not a review about a backpack but more about this store, the people, and the customer service. The only reason it's not a review about the backpack is because I have not had the backpack long enough to give a solid review on it yet. If you were between a couple different brands of packs and customer service was a deciding factor for you, this review is telling you that Eberlestock is the pack to choose. Incredible customer service, fast responses, and some of the friendliest and most helpful people I've dealt with. They make everything so extremely easy and I could not be happier with how I have been treated. My first impressions on all of the products are extremely positive as well. I will update this from you in a few months after testing my pack a little bit more. To the folks at Eberlstock, thank you.”
“I’ve been a customer of McU Sports for many years now. This week I decided it was time to get some new skis and bindings. I thought my old boots were fine since they were “comfortable”. At their suggestion, I decided to get my feet measured and try on some new boots. Turns out I didn’t know what comfortable or good was until I bought some new custom fitted boots. I just went skiing for the first time with my new gear. Goodness!! I should have upgraded a long time ago. Skiing was glorious and I can’t wait for the fun years to come! Thanks to Tim for all of his help over the years and helping me pull the trigger on these new skis! Glad that Chuck was there to elevate my ski equipment IQ so I could make the obvious right decision to get into the right gear for me. Thanks guys!!”
“Went to Dead-On Archery to get my bow serviced, and as soon as Paul picked up my bow he immediately noticed what Scheels had messed up. After explaining what their archery department told me, Paul showed me what was actually going on and helped me realize it wasn’t set up correctly. I ended up taking the bow back to Scheels and got a full refund.
After that, I went back to Dead-On Archery and Paul helped me find the right bow for me. He had me shoot five different bows and explained the pros and cons of each one. I ended up choosing the Hoyt AX-3.
Paul is awesome, personable, and extremely knowledgeable. I told him I was working with a budget, and he respected that while still making sure I was set up the right way. Thanks to Paul and everyone at the shop, I now feel confident and comfortable going into this upcoming hunting season. Really thankful for all the help!”
“First time purchasing from Athletic Attic and it won't be my last time. I was able to score a wonderful deal and they were even nice enough to ship it directly to me. I highly recommend this place to anyone.”
“Cool sports store but not the spot if you're looking for some Thorogood work boots. Small selection and even less in suppy. Dont know when and or if they will get some in.”
“Great experience at Play It Again Sports in Boise! The staff was friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. The store was well stocked with a great selection, and the prices were very fair. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for quality sporting goods at good prices.”
“Me and my husband loved shopping here! We've both run marathons and trail runs and we were both in need of some new shoes.
Shoes: lots of options including Mount to Coast, Altras, Saucony, Hoka, etc (Road & Trail Running Shoes)
Customer Service: very helpful at trying different shoes & help with tying/ putting on different styles and brands. Also very knowledgeable!
There is no treadmill, but there are options to test your foot and how you walk. There's also a nice strip of sidewalk and mulch outside to test out the shoes!
Other Equipment: we didn't check out too much of the other equipment, but there was also clothing, socks, hydration and nutrition, anti-chafing glides, running vests and belts, etc.
Special Note: due to the timing we needed to bring in our young kids. The staff were so helpful and patient with them and it made the experience so much better!
We recommend this running store 100%- will be returning when we need new shoes!”
