“Had to take a minute to highlight the exemplary customer service of Ethan Evans. I had just repaired my phone at the Apple store but was unable to make a call because my carrier needed to reactivate it. I walked into Macy’s and asked Ethan if I could make an outgoing call on one of their phones and he instead offered his personal cell phone for me to use instead. I was on the call for at least 20 minutes, and during the entire time he assured me not to rush. While I was on the call he continued to do his job and walked around the men’s section folding clothes that had been left scattered on displays. This is the type of exceptional customer service that needs to be highlighted. Although there was nothing in it for him, Ethan’s gesture and kind attitude genuinely turned my day around and helped me with a problem I didn’t have a solution to. This is the type of service that earns a customer for life. If employees ever get incentivized for going above and beyond, I urge Macy’s management to highlight and incentivize him. Ethan Evan’s, you’re the man bro.”

“Fred Meyers fuel center is always clean, always busy but there are enough gas pumps that you can almost always get your car in and refill right away. This is in contrast to something like Costco where you often have to wait for a few cars to fill up.The added plus to Fred Meyer over something like Costco is that you can pick up really convenient and necessary items while you pump gas such as car fluids or firewood or a snack and a drink.”
“I LOVE shopping here. The minute I walk in the store, the wonderful upscale scent hits me, and lets me know that I’m going to have an upscale experience.
The men’s section is a highlight, with well-informed salespeople who really know their stuff. I bought a suit there and it was a great experience.
The store stocks very high-quality items and is one of the few places in Boise where you can buy clothes that will last for years to come. I always gravitate towards the shoe section when I’m in need of a staple shoe that will look great and last for years.
I also love that I can pop into Dillards, shop, and then move on to another store without reparking or going outside. Why did most of America abandon malls for online shopping, I will never get it! Orange Julius anyone?
The fitting rooms are always the well-kept, numerous and easy to access and use. As someone who has curves, I need to try my clothes on, and I love that I can do that here. Other similar stores have taken away up to half of their fitting rooms to save money, and it’s always such a pain to find a place to try clothes on.
I predict that in the next few years, we will start to pivot back to malls and away from the elevated mini-mall concept (The Village, cough, cough) and back to the mall concept. It makes it so much better for the shopper.

“Tons of Boise State stuff... as expected. Cheaper-expensive clothes, kids-students-adult-parents clothes, hat, bags, stickers, bottle openers, and all sorts of Boise State stamped items. In the summer before school starts some clothes are cheaper than usual. Outside of the Bronco Shop are restaurants geared toward students.”

“Gentleman that works the self checkout with glasses and the longer (shoulder length) dark hair and dark beard with a great stripe in it saved me a bunch of time after forgetting my debit card. Showed me how to do mobile pay with the Walmart app, and it worked great! And solved the issue of no mobile pay at other locations. That guy was a life saver and extremely good with people. He deserves a raise no doubt, but employees like that don’t come around often!!”
