“Long story short, my family and I are moving to Hawaii. I had a major issue with my companies first check being deposited. (Company is legit. But funds were going to be held due to the amount and it being a company I hadn't worked for before). It was leaving us halfway across the world, practically stranded. One call to Laura, the branch manager, with an explanation of the situation was all it took. 15 minutes later she called back and had a portion released. I have a baby and my wife here. She literally made it possible for us to get by for the length of time needed. THANK YOU SO MUCH LAURA!!!”

Dealing with a difficult underwriter, he made sure to communicate why there were issues and how they would be handled. I appreciate his resourcefulness and the fact he was willing to be the go-between with the underwriter, myself and my mother.
Obtaining a reverse mortgage will allow my mother to remain in her home and it was the best option in our situation. Jake and First Federal made us feel comfortable and confirmed this was our best choice.”

“Outstanding customer service with Rosio G and very helpful staff. Originally scheduled to complete title transfer with third party and other employee who was unavailable. Rosio knew nothing of fairly complex transaction, but immediately got to work to make it happen. Got rooms for everybody to sit, organized the loan package, power of atty, title paperwork etc... Her smile never left her face. Phenomenal people skills with my 90 yr old MIL. Very kind and patient. Completed the whole transaction in 40 minutes and we were out the door. Have not seen this type of professional skill and take charge attitude in a long time. She took the bull by the horns and made it happen. Would have been a huge inconvenience for all of us had she not decided to jump in and do what needed to be done. Very impressive!”

“Sometimes the fees are $15 just to transfer money to this account. Have had some issues with the 9 day grace period was told something different from what the policy is. They fixed this. They say they accept Mastercard but they don’t accept my Mastercard. There are too many fees that are hidden.”

“I brought my elderly mom in today at 1:35 (Sat., they close at 2pm). She recently lost her husband of 55 years (my father). Her mind “isn’t as sharp” as it once was, so she’s given me POA. Due to a misunderstanding of her accounts, she recently accidentally spent on the wrong account, & had a number of overdraw fees.
Alejandro helped us. I was able to share with him 1on1 the scope of the situation & what we needed. He was very intuitive and perceptive, & read the situation perfectly, & it was clear that he understood from the jump, exactly what he needed to do, so he welcomed us into his office. He was polite, kind, gracious, respectful & discreet, and never lost focused. Considering the number of things he had to do, he was very quick. But also very thorough, as he asked us just to be sure that he had accomplished everything for us that we expected and needed. When it was time to leave, I recognized that it was a little past their hours of operation. Still, we never felt rushed. In fact, I know he would have maintained the same attitude even if we needed to stay longer. I can count on one hand how many google reviews I’ve left, but this young man should be recognized for his excellence. For future banking needs, for myself OR my mother, I will absolutely contact him directly. I’ve banked with MACU for many years now, and referred my mom to them a while back, because of how happy I am with them as my main financial institution. That said, they are incredibly well represented by Alejandro. I do not know him personally, nor have I ever met him prior to today.”
