From the moment we hopped on the shuttle, everything felt easy and welcoming. Derek, who picked us up and also works the counter, was incredibly hospitable. He shared the fun, cheeky history behind the company name, which immediately put us at ease. He also managed expectations up front: these aren’t brand-new flashy cars, but they’re solid, efficient, and get the job done. And he was right — check-in was quick, and our car ran perfectly with zero issues.
I was traveling alone with my son, and the entire experience felt breezy, comfortable, and safe — exactly what you hope for in a stressful travel moment.
The real test came at return time, when Chicago was hit with a full snowstorm. Despite the weather, the team welcomed us warmly. They told us to stay in the heated car while they handled everything outside so we stayed warm, dry, and safe. Because the storm had their entire fleet sold out, including their shuttle, Lou personally drove us back to the airport in the same car we had rented. That level of care is rare.
After dropping us off, we realized we’d left a bag under the seat. Even with the blizzard still going, they handled it immediately and responsibly. They’re holding the bag safely for a family member to pick up in a few days — no hassle, no attitude, just genuine kindness.
These are hardworking people who truly take pride in what they do. Rent-A-Wreck ended up being the unexpected hero of our trip, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

“The Countryside Enterprise location treated me extremely well. It was my 1st time booking through Expedia so I didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised to by the ease of the process. The entire rental and insurance was handled through Expedia so all I needed to bring was my DL and Debit card. They took a $300 deposit and I had to show the insurance documents. I worked with Daniel Burchsted who was quite literally the best Enterprise employee I’ve worked with! He was very helpful, prompt and knowledgeable. He ushered me to a brand new car, helped me set up Bluetooth, & did thorough inspection of the car with me. The whole process took about 10 minutes or less! This location also let me return the vehicle after hours in the Dropbox. All in 10/10 experience, I will be renting from the Countryside location again hopefully I’ll get to work with Daniel too.”

“Had best price, fast check- in at airport (no line!), had choice of a few vehicles when we got to the garage, friendly staff, quick return. Car was very nice, clean, in good shape, and ran very well. At dropoff Tyre (or maybe Tyrie - sorry not sure how to spell his name) was extremely kind, professional, and helpful. Helped us get though the check out process quickly and efficiently and even unloaded our bags for us from the trunk. Great customer service. He and all of the other staff were definately working hard. Would be nice to clarify where to exit at pickup from the garage, the sign was confusing to me since all rental companies go out the same exit booth but it doesn't say Alamo on the sign so in my opinion would be worth a quick mention at check in, but that's not Alamo's fault. Overall can't complain, was a great experience and would rent from them again!”

I've rented numerous times since moving to Chicago and have had mixed experiences elsewhere, but Enterprise was a completely different story. It was incredibly convenient that they're open on Sundays since that's not something you can count on everywhere. Cameron, who helped me, was outstanding. “It was my first time using a rental from Enterprise. Their location is easily accessible. The process is fast. The few problems that I have are 1) The deposit amount should be told as you soon as you walk through the door. Don't wait until I provide my debit card, my ID, and my information because after you tell me the deposit, I'll decided if I want to continue with the process. 2) Speaking of deposit, $300 is ridiculous and excessive. I wouldnt mind paying $100,150, or $200. 3) I would like to know what vehicles are available when I walk through the door. So if all of the suvs are gone, I would like to know that when I come in the door. Dont just assume I will be ok with the cars left”
“I reserved a car online and was able to pick it up without any hassle. Anthony took care of me, and he went above and beyond making sure I got a rental that met my needs. When dropping off the car, he remembered who I was and followed up by asking about my weekend and extending sincere comments and wishes to my replies. The customer care experience these days across many industries is so impersonal, I am glad to see that’s not the case at this Enterprise location. Additionally, the lot had plenty of cars available, and while I was there, I observed everyone in the office always on task taking care of customers.”

“I searched for a 24 hour car rental and came across multiple rental agencies but chose to go with Alamo (Ohare Airport) location and they did not disappoint. I did everything online which was a breeze to navigate through. Reserved the type of car I wanted head out and to Alamo showed my license to a smiling representative and they directed me to a selection of clean ready to go SUV's. When I was done the return process was just as easy . Pull forward the attendant scanned the car in and said have a good evening and thank you for choosing the Alamo. That was the easiest and most pleasant experience I have ever had renting a car. Thank you Alamo!”
“My vehicle was recently rear-ended, and the insurance company is dealt with was only approving a small sedan vehicle for rental (even though I had an SUV, they would not pay for something similar). Fortunately the manager, Jacob, helped me out a great deal. Although he couldn't put me in an SUV, he offered to charge the same price that the insurance company was paying for..... but for a slight larger & more comfortable sedan. I appreciated this so much cause I'm a bigger guy. But aside from that, he was also very professionalable and knowledgeable. He was also very quick and efficient.”
