“I was there for a business conference this past weekend, I totally loved the hotel, it was well lit, clean, ample parking, the conference room the we were at was super big and warm, we were a big group. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were really nice and clean, their cleaning crew where checking that the bathrooms were properly stocked and clean at all times, they have nice eating areas with tvs and plenty of places to seat down, I didn't get to see the bedrooms but if I'm going to judge by what I saw in the lower level I'm sure they are wonderful too, I totally recommend this hotel. ?❤️”
“When checking in Lariya was friendly and helpful. She offered to look up my Hyatt number and did. When I asked if there was hot water nearby to make tea she explained there was tea and a microwave in the room but she would happily get some for me. She went above and beyond in everything she was asked. Thank you Lariya”

“Excellent experience at this hotel, particularly the location and level of service and professionalism. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The rooms are large and clean. While there are older style elements, they add to the historic charm. You can't beat the location right in the heart of Oak Park, plus convenient transit to DT Chicago. Plenty of coffee shops, bars, restaurants (two right on the premises), shopping, entertainment and services, all within a few blocks. I have stayed here twice and will definitely stay here on my next visit to the area.”

I got my room for a Thursday-check out Friday,,, my room was actually specious a small little living room area and my queen size bed a nice closet, small fridge, and a beautiful bathroom… sucks that I wasn’t able to take pictures…… but I definitely will be going back to this hotel. What I also loved about them is that there’s free parking, I didn’t explore much of the lobby area,…… 10/10???”

“had to book a last minute stay due to our flight getting cancelled and rebooked at 5:30am the next day. Great shuttle service to and from the airport. Jade was excellent at check in. Rooms were updated and clean, quiet and a very good gym. Frig and microwaves in room.”
“Great affordable hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff, decent restaurant/bar. It’s a little out of the way but if you want to get into the city you can take the free shuttle to the train station and it takes about an hour to get the river north in total. James, the evening shuttle driver, is very nice and does his best to accommodate everyone’s needs.”

“This place wasn’t that bad, it did it’s job, the room was dated but clean and the bed was comfortable.. it’s worth the cheap price… we got there early 11am and they accommodate us for an extra $20, which was great because check in time is 3pm.. the area was cool, I’m a black female traveling with another female and we didn’t feel unsafe. We even walked to the store at night.. I had a smoking room and it didn’t even smell like cigarettes or weed at checking in.. I didn’t experience any loud noise or ppl hanging around. It’s a few food places, Walgreens, liquor store, hair store, dispensary and gas stations in walking distance… the lady at the front desk was very friendly
The only thing I really didn’t like is the uber/lyft fees … depending on what your during $25-30 but we paid $8 to blue line train and that took us downtown… also the $10 deposit for iron…”

“Oh my god Ms. Beth? Amazing. What a jem. It was first time to Chicago and this woman made me feel like I could gab to her like she had been in my life forever. What a wonderful woman. Such a GREAT attitude. Idk what that woman is paid but she deserves a RAISE. So professional but SO down to earth. She comes dressed to IMPRESS every day! She went above and beyond. When my company books hotels on Chicago I will request this location EVERY TIME. Ms. Beth ALONE makes it worth the visit.
The beds? Not the usual plush Holiday but not bad. Rooms are usual holiday standard. No microwave in the room. But if you're real kind to Ms. Beth she will help you out.
She ALONE made my Holiday experience. If there's one thing I've learned being a boss, its that your employees make your team and leadership great. Don't loose this one. She makes the hospitality above and beyond. She made me feel like being welcomed home by my mother.”

There were a few maintenance issues like loose toilet lid, non-working bathroom fan & less than professional caulking around tub (but no mildew or stains). Room had coffee maker, microwave & mini fridge w/ freezer. Hotel had hard water & the fixtures were affected by it. My son like the gym. Pool was covered.”

“When I first walked into the office it was very clean smell good good customer service I mean great customer service also when you walk into the room the floors was clean carpet clean no burnt marks no water take all day to get hot tub is clean tissue clean towels with no hair in it that I found Good TV channels and the bed feels comfortable enough for me to stay sleep all night it was wonderful thank you Red roof inn and very reasonable very reasonable”

“receptionists, please for the safety and peace of mind towards your guests [especially guests who are women] DO NOT say their room number out loud. i might not be a target, but i've heard stories of OTHERS whose safety has been at risk and compromised [not here, but from social media stories that people actually experienced]
anyway, check in was fine. i was the only guest in the lobby i don't know if she was used to doing that since i'm sure she's been on that job for a while .. she said my room number aloud. which ticked me off.
[i left a similar note on another review] safety in this *world* is important
[no foul play when i say this, i went to a mainstay hotel days later and the receptionist said my room # aloud with a stranger in the midst!]

“I absolutely love this hotel! From the room to the location to the customer service! I was treated like I was at the Hilton! Norman the young man at the front desk has a heart of gold! Always pleasant and made my stay much more enjoyable by his positive energy! He is so hard working and deserves a raise! He has been the nicest person I ever encountered while staying at a hotel and for that reason alone I will always come here when I need a hotel to stay at. He made me feel so comfortable and helped with anything I needed. Now for my room. It was super clean and cozy. I slept like a baby! Beds were SO comfortable!! They are newly remodeled rooms so for the price you better snatch one and come here you won’t be disappointed! Right off 55 but you don’t hear a thing! Gas station food and Target right around the corner and down the street you have Bennys shopping and more food. I’m just over all super pleased and it was my pleasure to be a guest here. “I'm staying here for business and it's a pretty central location. My room is pretty comfortable, just wish the pillows were a little firmer for me personally. Within walking distance, there's a Super Target and a bunch of places to eat. Really wish there was a hot breakfast here. I'm not a fan of continental breakfast..
