“Perfect stay here at this hotel.

I stayed 2 nights for a 2 night event at the Wintrust Arena and had absolutely zero complaints.

The room was beautiful, clean (no bugs!), the area the hotel was in didn't feel dangerous or unsafe, and the front desk lady (I didn't catch her name sadly) was extremely professional and nice, traits that are becoming increasingly difficult to come by in the hospitality industry.

The only 2 (VERY minor) blemishes on my stay were that if you park in the garage before checking in you have to go down the stairs, out, and around to the front/ main entrance (but it's only like a 60 second walk altogether), and also my room was at the far (very)end of the hall, but that's not really anyone's fault ?‍♂️

Otherwise, FANTASTIC stay, and I've got my eyes set on another event close by in a few months, and if I go to it I'll 100% be staying here again”

We could have not picked a better hotel! It was perfect, no complaints! Service was very friendly, rooms were cleaned, area was nice, the distance was cool, the shopping outside was nice, and it was a great experience!”

“The good: The location is great and has a few coffee shops within a few minutes walk. The parking garage is also half a block away and not a bad walk at all. The vibe upon entering was quite nice because of the grand lobby. The colors of the furniture were sort of all over the place.

THE BAD: Our room had a corner wall that had coffee spilled on it. The caulk around the toilet base was brown. Although maybe not the hotels fault but the hallway of floor 10 smelled like smoke (cigar or cigarette). Our tv remote didn’t work when we arrived but engineer quickly came in with a new one and it worked perfectly.

The service was kind but not efficient. Upon checking in, I was about to be charged a random amount of $163 even though I already paid through my Bonvoy app. I had to ask him kindly “what’s this charge for?” And he said “oh….i apologize.” Strange interaction.
Since I have Gold Elite status my room was supposed to be upgraded if there was availability. I know there was availability because they were available for booking. Instead, he gave us “a room on a high floor with a nice view “ which turned out to be a view of the neighboring buildings ac units on the roof. Turns out this guy was 25 years old and he was certainly not an experienced enough in fine hospitality to know that room and view were exceptionally average.”

“This place was a splendid surprise for me and my family! It may not be the most stunning or even nicest place out there but it certainly felt like a home. The staff despite the only two member staff team were a joy to be around they were nice and quite understanding. Complimentary Coffee and Pastries were a nice addition. I would probably come back here again, fair price too [B^”

“My partner and I toured and met with several hotels, restaurants and event centers in downtown Chicago, and the choice was simple to select the Kimpton for our wedding this year. The location, the on-site amenities/facilities, the food, and most importantly the service was top-notch! Mariah is everything and more than we could have ever hoped for in an on-site event coordinator. She was professional, responsive, friendly and went above and beyond to make this day special for us.

With so many guests coming in town for the event, we loved the idea of having it at a hotel downtown so guests could see the city and easily navigate our wedding which was all at the Kimpton. Boleo is incredible - especially if you can luck out with the weather like we did to have an open rooftop with a view of the sears tower. Not only that, but we didn't even need to leave the hotel for photos - the grand marble staircase, vol 39 and a step outside to see the Board of Trade was a game changer and time saver for us too!

Knowing weddings aren't cheap either in the city - the hotel was also one of the most reasonable options in terms of cost with not feeling like a stuffy ballroom type of event in a hotel event center. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else.”

“Exceptional service, a grand old building with many modern comforts.

From the valet to the front door staff and the kitchen to the room service. We not only will come back but we would consider an extended stay.

Breakfast service is very dietary conscious with consideration s made for many preferences including vegan with oat milk, soy chorizo, vegetable fried rice and silk chocolate milk! Plenty of fruit, a hot and cold cereal bar and friendly helpful staff to make sure your needs are met.

Pro Tip 1: text the valet 10 min before you need your vehicle.

Pro Tip 2: valet are happy to store your luggage on the day of check out allowing you to go to lunch or run last minute errands before you leave!

“Hubby & I stayed here on our 38th wedding anniversary. I have OCD and I'm very particular about cleanliness. This place met my stringent demands. It is close enough to walk around and see the local attractions. Decent breakfast included. They had helpful staff that watched our luggage after checkout until we could catch our late night train..”

“Excellent experience at this hotel, particularly the location and level of service and professionalism. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The rooms are large and clean. While there are older style elements, they add to the historic charm. You can't beat the location right in the heart of Oak Park, plus convenient transit to DT Chicago. Plenty of coffee shops, bars, restaurants (two right on the premises), shopping, entertainment and services, all within a few blocks. I have stayed here twice and will definitely stay here on my next visit to the area.”

“Fast one night stay. Appreciated the good service — efficient and straightforward, welcome sparkling wine, upgrade as a Marriott Platinum to a Deluxe River View room and the $70 (per room) breakfast credit. Room was very comfortable, slept like a log. Good water pressure. Fitness center was spacious, but honestly could use some more equipment (e.g. only three benches, they were always full; one cable machine, line to use it), along with the awesome indoor pool and sauna. House car was a Rivian with a friendly driver for destinations <2 miles was much appreciated. Miru was fantastic with a great breakfast menu, especially weekend brunch — see if you can snag a table by the windows! Three nitpicks: (1) toiletries were ok, but a mishmash of Sodeshi, Ren and Sachajuan. All great, but lacked cohesiveness and a signature scent for the property. Missed opportunity. (2) location is not for everyone, a bit off the beaten path, not inconvenient, just more tucked away. (3) butler was a largely absent aspect of our stay, I forgot that service was there. It’s a signature of St Regis and we neglected to use him/her (eg coffee in the morning). Next time! We’ll be back. Thanks for a great stay!”

“This hotel has upscale vibes on Michigan Ave! Close to everything in downtown Chicago, clean and updated rooms, highly recommended. Oh, and the price was on the low end for that area. I would go again when visiting Chicago”
