“Although the reviews posted here concerned me I needed some BW points for an upcoming personal trip so I booked 2 nights. Upon arrival I was greeted by Jennifer, a very nice young lady that checked me in and really seemed to care about my stay. The room itself was clean and comfortable. I saw no evidence of bugs or mold. The bed and the room as a whole were comfortable and everything in the room functioned as it should. Maybe there has been a change in management since the earlier reviews or maybe the facility was updated since Covid wreaked havoc on the hospitality industry but based on my current experience I would definitely stay here again.”

“Only stay for one night our room was clean, the front desk gave us extra towels, I didn’t hear any noise from other guests and the air and heat both work in the room. Bathroom was clean :) usually we stay at the Marriott down the street but this is nice for the ”

“Ramiro had amazing customer service, he was very busy but always made sure to check on us and make sure we didn’t need anything and I recommend him for any higher position he can get”

“Superb hotel, well located near everything, beautiful, large, clean rooms and great service BUT ask for a room overlooking Kinsie or Wabash street because if you have a room overlooking State street it is very noisy at night, even on the 8th floor. In fact, it is the sirens of ambulances and police that scream at all hours of the night, several times an hour. Wear earplugs and/or request a room NOT facing State. The view from the 2nd floor of the bar is really beautiful, having a drink there is very pleasant, the service is excellent”

“Under construction but the website/reviews mentioned it. However it was not an issue. For me, a one day hotel stay comes down to 2 things. Ease of check in and quality of room. Check in was easy. Staff were quick and efficient. Plus very friendly. Room was sized as advertised. Bathroom was a bonus. Large space. Of course it was clean and tidy as well. Recommend.Walkability: Great location.”

“Luxury historic atmosphere with a resort experience. The included driver services with Davonte were professional, timely, and friendly. The Doormen provide excellent hospitality.”

“Very clean and well decorated.Love the old lookinh refrigerator in the room. The staff Was friendly and approachable. The entrance is locked at night. So that doesn't lie a sense of security that Many can appreciate.”

“This restaurant was fantastic. My room was clean and they let the faucets drip I guess to protect the pipes from freezing over. This hotel breakfast, was by far the best breakfast that I ever had at any hotel. They serve things like spinach, of course, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and even boiled eggs, along with a plethora of fruit. The weight room was extremely basic, but they did have three treadmills.”

“Beautiful historic architecture, great location near all the sights, lovely bathrooms with large soaking tubs, and a fantastic premium tea selection in the morning. I can't say enough good things about this hotel, but where the hotel truly shines is the excellent customer service and amenities. Everyone we encountered seemed to do something extra to make me and my family feel welcome. Shea put together an amazing welcome basket for my son, and Emily at the front desk was very accommodating of our requests and made sure we had a wonderful stay.”

“Nice vintage hotel. Parked across the street at Hilton public parking. Rooms are affordable when there are zero events going on. Location is in business district. Just stayed 3 nights for a sales meeting. Places close early. Nothing around that’s open so it’s difficult to walk in the negative temps to find a cozy pub.”

“Family staycation during spring break. Really an exemplary hotel experience that lives up to the St Regis brand. Everyone that helped us just has a wonderful attitude and is very genuine. I made a note it was my child’s birthday over the trip and they even managed to put us on a floor that matched his age! Small details like this are what make experiences stand out and create fun memories. Pool was lovely. Breakfast at Miru was delicious and the room was amazing, but the staff are what make the difference. Can’t wait to stay again!”

“This is an older motel that has been improved. Rooms are cozy quiet and lots of extra touches to make it like a studio apartment. Coffee and sweet roll offered. Low priced so you can afford a big breakfast at a nearby pancake house.Safety: Very safe.”

“I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Rooms are spacious and clean. Views are very pretty, especially at night. It’s quiet and nice in the hotel, location is good too, area seems to be calm and nice, there is subway station near by and Whole Foods 5-10 minutes away walking. Nice breakfast with nice food assortment (oat meal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausages and etc). I wasn’t driving, so Im not aware of parking situation, I know they have parking on site, but not sure if you need to pay extra. There is door dash discount and fun self beer bar. There is pool as well, very clean and not crowded (at least when I was there. It was New Years). The only things that were not great are no conditioner in the bottle (I think it’s an easy fix, but I didn’t want to bother), and mattresses were not great. I had a little back discomfort in the morning. Maybe it was just too soft and it would be fine for some people.Overall Im happy with the stay and can recommend it!The reception on a second or third floor, so after you enter the hotel, you need to take an elevator. That was interesting, I never seen it before, but still pretty easy access.Oh forgot to mention, I’m a female solo traveler and I had no issues and felt very safe.Safety: As a female solo traveler I felt very safe in the hotel.”

“My 2-night stay was wonderful. Was fortunate to have a suite on the executive floor. The breakfast was good. There were vegetarian options which pleasantly surprised me. The heat in the bedroom area of the suite didn’t work, even after a maintenance technician “fixed” it. I had to turn it off eventually because it was blowing cold air. The living room was the only place where the heat worked. The other issue I had was at check out. Someone named “Eitan”(sp?) did not ask how I could be helped until I finally spoke first. He was very curt & barely looked up until I gave him my room number which indicated the executive suite. Then he decided to try to be nicer, but it was too late. It barely takes 1 minute to print a receipt and by then his attitude already left a bad impression. It shouldn’t take having an executive suite to receive good customer service. He should be kind to everyone, period.Aside from those things, I had a very nice stay.”

“Pros of this place: It's clean, quiet, and has friendly service. Con: The floor in our room was so uneven that it very noticeably sloped downhill as we walked across the room...to the point where even when laying down on the bed, you could feel the slope of the mattress, which caused the foot of the bed to be slightly but noticeably higher up than the head. Same with the desk. It did not sit level, so if you put something like a pen on it, it would roll down. There are WAY bigger problems that can be found in a hotel than this. I've traveled enough, I know. The weird flooring is minor, but worth noting. Otherwise, our room was clean, and staff were friendly. I recommend this place.Rooms: Very clean. As noted in my main review, the flor in our room was extremely sloped, which was weird, but minor.Food & drinks: This hotel has two restaurants. One is a fancy Italian one, and the other is more of a seafood bar and grill. We went to the seafood one, (Poor Phil's) and liked it.”

“The cosmopolitan is joining the MGM and therefore also Marriott. You're able to use your Marriott points as well as get points for your stays. One issue is that they don't have the self sign in to check into your room so there could still be a very long line. When I came I got in here at around 2:00 a.m. I waited about 3 hours for a room but they were very apologetic and wasn't the fault of the staff and they made it up by copying the suite that you could see in the video I posted, which is absolutely beautiful as well as giving me some resort credit.”

“Hidden gem! We booked the room with the Lake View and it was easily the best decision of our Chicago trip. Stunning views from 40th floor, great location, nice rooms and decent breakfast. What else could you ask for :) There’s a loop stop very close by. But I also recommend using the Divvy bikes station next to the hotel to roam around the downtown.”

“Very happy with my stay here. It's right in a major part of the city and close to the river, the lake, or the popular park and tourist destinations.Rooms were clean, service was top notch, and they have a very welcoming lobby. The one thing I wasn't too impressed with was the included breakfast. Fairly boring, basic, and not great quality. Fine if you just want a quick muffin or piece of toast”

“The room I stayed was very nice, I dined in Fora for dinner and breakfast - the food was delicious! however both Fora and Selva bartenders were not welcoming- not sure why but the bartenders at this hotel looked unhappy, and their energy radiates…Rooms: Stayed in Luxury King Room _ it was quite nice”

“I'm a Hilton Diamond member, stayed at this property because my company booked it. It is a fantastic hotel, big room, separate seating area, nice spotless bathroom, amazing TV channels selection. Great bed, fat pillows. Kinda made my last few Hilton stays look bad.”

“Perfectly located for our needs for our little family outing. The restaurant in the hotel had things my family liked, there's a Giordano's a block and a half walking distance, and it is also walking distance from the symphony. Perfect, I tell you. Also there are many other things nearby that make this a great location for a visit to Chicago. The room was nicely appointed and the four of us managed well there. 10/10 will return if I go to Chicago again.”

“This is our second stay at the Residence Inn Chicago downtown/loop. First and foremost the staff has been extremely accommodating and polite, professional and genuinely nice! As you arrive on the second floor, check in, the lobby is clean and attractive. On this floor you can enjoy sitting in the lounge to relax, pull up a chair at the bar in the evening and have a complimentary breakfast (hot and cold foods) in the morning. The rooms are nice size with a kitchen, microwave/oven and cooktop along with dishes and pots for cooking. Full size fridge great for longer stays (which we do when we are in Chicago visiting family). There is a nice desk as I often work remotely a few of the days when we are in town and there is a separate bedroom with a door that provides privacy and a bit of quiet when I'm up working early and the better half is still asleep. There is a workout facility on site as well. I will continue to come back to this hotel for our regular trips to Chicago based on the above as well as its convenient location.”

“Booked the Kenzie Hotel for the second time and I will certainly be back. The representative at the front desk was such a delight - friendly and professional. I enjoyed the happy hour and breakfast. My room was upgraded and it was beautiful. Lovely views and super clean. Overall great experience!”

“Was traveling for work and had a decent stay here. Not the normal hotel I stay at but it was a decent experience. I arrived around 9:30pm and check-in was a bit chaotic. There was only one person working the desk and a long line of people waiting to check in. The room was fine but definitely could use a little bit more up keep. The gym was good and room service food was okay. Overall a fine place to stay but nothing to write home aboutRooms: The rooms were clean but a bit dated and broken down. They could use a little TLC but overall they were fine.Food & drinks: The food was a bit over priced and just okay. It will do in a pinch but I would recommend going out or ordering door dash or Uber eats instead.”

“Perfect location. Serviceable rooms. Surprisingly quiet. I didn't have to speak to a soul. Good wifi. AC wasn't too bad. My room was very clean.I wish I knew there was parking in the back. I didn't realize until I was leaving. It is a microtel and there are shared bathrooms. If I had a noisy or inconsiderate neighbor it would have been a nightmare. My biggest complaint is the absurdly bright blue light on the room's mirror. As far as I could tell there was no way to turn it off. If I didn't bring a blindfold I would have never slept.”
